I am begging her to attend the call-to-bar ceremony with her hijab. Nigeria is a secular state and she studied and want to uphold the nigerian law. If nigeria were an islamic state, then there would be no issues with putting on the hijab. if she studied islamic law and is to be called to bar (or whatever it's called) in a sha'ariah court, then i have no problem with that. if she does this, like she's promising, then she is a FOOL as it is only fools that don't learn from the mistakes of others. she would just be regarded as plain stubborn and no one would listen to her. every profession has its codes and wearing hijab as a lawyer in the nigerian court is sure not one of its codes. the other girl just wasted her time and finance studying law as she couldn't abide by a simple dress code. she cannot uphold the law that she's swearing to protect. rantEndsHere. |

lionlee216: So, I have been to some corporate organisations in NY, CT, OH and IL but to my surprise, I only find out majority are white people. I use to wonder what blacks normally do. The dinner I attended tonight was organised by my wife's company and out of 100 people, only 2 people are black(My woman and the HR) but when you go to factories or places of menial Jobs, You find black people there and very few white(White Americans).
what could have caused these?
Well no thanks to the media, black people are always associated with crime. Watch Youtube and others, you will see blacks shooting at gas station robbing people. the media has always been painting black people as criminals to the extent i really done feel safe in midst of blacks(God forgive me). I usually see them as a threat especially anytime I go to Chicago.

Brukx: The criteria I can remember are having a B.Sc in a related field of study or an A level result... And yes I've seen A level holders who got admission into medicine. #JUPEB I don't know again o. With b.sc, ANSU asked ME to get the discharge certificate before i could apply. UI asked a friend of mine to get the discharge cert too. these happened this year. i am not entirely sure, but it seems unn requires it also from candidates with b.sc. |

Education › Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Infamous(m): 7:02am On Dec 12, 2017 |
Brukx: When you are done with BCH take Jamb. That's my advice. This DE of a thing doesn't freak me. I don't like it. Most schools would prefare their own Jupeb candidates or their own B.Sc holders before they consider outsiders. Unless u plan on doing the DE in same school u finish BCH. But let me say the truth it won't be easy. You will see so many colleagues who will try discouraging you. They will try convincing u how meaningless it is to go for MBBS after a B.Sc. Its not an easy journey. So much can change in four years. Truer words haven't been written. This has a lot of experience embedded in it. Care to share your story with us? We can learn more. |

esivue007: hello fellow dudes,I'm a newly admitted Bch student of Lagos state university, actually,I put in for MBBS but l later did Change of course cuz of my grade so I was lucky to be included in d first list. right now I'm thinking about crossing but I realise that in lasu d method is no-go area so after 4 yrs I will go back to study MBBS via DE my question now is that, can I snub NYSC programme, for me to quickly go back to medical school or what or lemme put it like this, what are your advise for me immediately after 4yrs? I am not sure that you can get mbbs through direct entry without having served Nigeria. Most schools require your NYSC discharge certificate before your application for direct entry is even considered. My advice is that you keep writing jamb and take the course you're studying seriously. Remember, most schools require a minimum of 2.1 from direct entry applicants. Good luck |

Village people have no jurisdiction in yankee, if not, i for blame them. Please get a powerful alarm clock. One that makes shrilly, ringing sounds and place it near your headrest to avoid this kind of mistake again. Kinda reminds me of exam periods when i would like to wake at night to study. Only to wake up around 7am. |

Kaziar: Thank you so much sir. I really appreciate it. Someone suggested that maybe I could switch to medicine after first semester with better than average grades and a cgpa of above 4.0, i don't know how feasible it is. Pls is it possible? But meanwhile I'm going to take your advice. Thanks a lot. In 2010, I was in your shoes. Same school. A stronger ambition for medicine but was offered same course as you. I was naive back then and got poor advice from folks. So i rejected the admission for predegree at uniport. Not regretting though, as i now have a b.sc in microbiology. I am still aspiring to study medicine though i am going through DE and will include jamb. Back to your question, i think you'd be able to switch to medicine department from physiology if you have a minimum cgpa of 4.0 after your FIRST YEAR and not first semester. Keep writing JAMB and NEVER JOKE WITH THE HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY you were offered. Goodluck bro. |

juman: Referendum is needed.
But another way forward is voting out confused apc government. Referendum is needed. But its the same unreformed individuals that will handle it. What makes you sure that they would not include loopholes in form of statements or rules through which they would 'chop' nigeria? Truth be told, the average nigerian is corrupt (even me) and will only indulge in things that will be beneficial to him/her directly or indirectly. Till we have a holistic approach toward reforming nigeria, selflessly, only then can we experience true change and a breath of fresh air. Change begins with me. |
