michelcedric: Still depends on the kind of employment. Once did a job of 35k. My boss owes you for close to a month and during that period he'd be buying new stuffs ; wrist watch, clothes and shoes. He be giving flimsy excuses for owing. For example he once told me that he couldn't pay me as at when due cos he bought a land.
haneetram: I share my experiences as a medical student in a foreign land. What makes it different from the Nigerian system and what medical students here do. If you are interested, click the link below or search for Teenahs Lounge on YouTube.
This sounds really interesting. As i dey use small phone now, how would i watch the video kwanu? Is there a way i could get the transcript of the video?
I have toured this thread and some others and I'm yet to see people applying for or studying medicine. Please if you're one or you know one, quote me. I'd like to make some enquiries. Thanks.
From what I gathered, regular 200l students have commenced lectures (COOU to be precise). Given that the admission process has been slow and most DE applicants would be likely be admitted from next year (ok, I am guessing here), Now my question is, 'how do we cope after missing a lot of lectures?'
Olatimi: I don't think admission is been offered yet...are U for MBChB? I am..., If U are lets talk bro...
Please what is MBChB? *EDITED. Never knew MBChB was another name for MBBS. Thanks for the enlightenment. We really learn everyday. -PS. I am for MBChB and i'll send you a pm right away.
olumose001: Two passes from Anatomy, Biochemistry, and physiology... so only 55 students passed two of the three or the three... 67 failed 2 of the 3 courses or fail the 3 outrightly
olumose001: Usman danfodiyo university 200 level pre-mbbs result.. 141 seat for the exam, 55 promoted to 300level, 67 to repeat 200level, 17 to withdraw, 2 withheld results...
what were the criteria for promoting the 55? Does it mean the 67 failed one or more 200L courses?
bigtt76: Firstly, your guy driving a 43 million naira Benz does not mean he owns it. It could be rented or leased. It could be his though bought on credit and not cash down. It could also be on credit backed by his mom.
Your other guy with $153k might be working at a construction site or under the table saving every cent.
Most Americans don't have much in their bank accounts because they live on credit. Every check they pay into their account cancels out a credit they had taken or mortgage facility. Don't be swayed jaaaare.
Congratulations to all who have been admitted. And to those who are already in there, hang in there while always keeping in mind why you are there. Never lose focus. I am an aspirant but I will give my testimony here God-willing.
FrankNetter: I've applied for two schools Chicago state university and Governor state university. If my movement get head, I could get back to school as early as January next year.
After the long wait, my transcript is finally being evaluated. I'm just keeping a close eye on the situation. Thanks for asking.
Ok. Good. I can't remember exactly, but i think i read that you already have a degree. Am i right? If so, what degree is that? I already have one and i was thinking of going to canada for med school. I have also been told that medicine is regarded as a second degree in yankee and canada. Can you enlghten me more on the process as seen in the US?

Xsem: You are right. But we won't because a pastor sins stop going to church. Some schools are making judicious use of it while others... It's a known situation in Nigeria, embezzling, arrogating and squandering of funds meant for erecting and maintaining infrastructures.
Yes. Fact remains, education is cheaper in nigeria when compared to what is obtainable in developed countries. So we are to manage what we have.
Stupid girl. Now she has exposed her area of residence to the whole world. This will go beyond her area. All these publicity stunts sef. Anyways, dick fall on her.
Xsem: How do you expect them to develop there school, build infrastructures, pay salaries also repair destroyed ones without the fees and also meet up with standards of schools like CU, babcock etc.How do they generate revenues without the fees. Mind you nobody is forcing you to go there OK. There are other numerous institutions that you can go to.
Structurally, as long as its nigeria, you cannot compare private universities with federal/state universities. But how do we know if the 'development fees' paid by the students are being managed properly? For all I know, these monies might be tempting to some people, creating room for embezzlement possibilities.
Built2last: Education in the north needs state of emergency. First it was Kaduna teachers, then sokoto eradicating property program now this.
The people no just wan learn o. Na to dey marry wives dey divorce them upandan. Small money someone will get, hin go carry am go marry. No planning. I was told that they are discouraged from getting formal education.
Shey this ediot would come out later to complain that men don't give women the respect they deserve. Bi.tch, respect is earned not given. But she's not a woman, is she?
