Pes13: .Jamb might not recommend Explicit Biology, but its a very wonderful textbook. It is so simple and interesting to read like essential biology, with comprehensive explanations and jamb past questions, and it covers a large ground exactly like modern.
But explicit biology is difficult to get, I couldn't get it then also. But if you could, pls get it, I promise you won't regret it. THANK YOU. SO ITS EITHER EXPLICIT OR ESSENTIAL TEXT FOR BIOLOGY? |

DrBESTJC: Just walk in to any bookshop and ask them of it. Make sure you buy Lamlad Chemistry. It's very helpful for JAMB.
For biology,I'd advise you to check EXPLICIT BIOLOGY.It contains jamb past questions(1978 till date) with detailed answers and explanations chapter by chapter(Just like the English textbook, INVISCIBLE TEACHER by Dele Ashade).
For physics,I would advice you to go for A LEVEL PHYSICS. Are these textbooks recommended by JAMB? |

Delta007: Medicine in Canada is publicly funded. This implies that the spots are limited since the government does not have unlimited resources and there are only a few medical schools in Canada. As a result, these spots are often reserved for Canadian residents. Some countries like Kingdom of Saudi Arabia "buy" spots so that they can send students to be trained. I hope this helps. So i should just run away na. Maybe to another country with more medical schools. What are you suggesting? And where? |

MasterMind21: Past questions? The normal past questions na or are there different types? Please I beg you in the name of God, read your textbooks.. And who told you there isn't enough time? Of course there is. Depends on how you use your time. Use the Lamlad texts(They have many jamb standard questions) to check yourself on each topic. Again, it depends on how you use your time. Organisation is the key.. GOOD LUCK! Thanks a lot!!! |

It won't be easy with that grade, bro...you can apply for a scholarship and also back it with a good application letter stating why you deserve the scholarship.
Nothing is impossible, bro...I'm also applying for a scholarship and a school in Sweden is already at the verge of accepting me does Sweden speak english? Scholarships for international students appear like the blue moon based on what i have been hearing. |

If you have lots of data and a working PC, search the web for US scholarships/waivers, you'll surely find one. Don't limit urself to america alone.
You can search Sweden, lativia and other schegen/EU countries....
NB: Canada and Germany is highly competitive
My friend's life is a testimony...he's in Idaho now was chasing chicks when he was applying
Still blaming myself, tho Thing is I want to switch to medicine/surgery and at every turn, I feel the pangs. |

MackyNaija: I think they look at your raw grades to see how well you did in your undergraduate courses that relate to your current program of interest.
I also feel much emphasis is placed on your final 4 semesters, the graduate school collects your documents, creates a file and forwards to your department where they review it and recommend you for admission to the grad school.
If graduate school accepts, they then admit you into the graduate school/your program and possibly give you a tuition waiver. A friend works in the graduate school, na CIA things - top secret - he isn't allowed to discuss much. Chai. It just dawned on me how badly i have messed myself up. |

lionlee216: Well I realised marriage will give me access to green card than H1b... After school, i wont be killing myself with employers.
The truth is i married for love. If she is not an American, Yes, i will still marry her. That's the truth! But then i let her know that i hope she will file for me if we get married, she said that is not a problem and she did.. papers is an added advantage... I was messing with a nairalander the other day saying by the time we finish school, You will be looking for H1B whereas I have no need to..
Getting married for papers(Sham marriages) no really worth am but I cant decide for someone what he wants to do.. What a wonderfully written summary. Thanks for this. But it is still what it is... A summary. I don't mean to pry but i believe a more story-like writeup would be waaayyy cooler. |
