It has been nearly five months since ASUU members went on strike to protest the Nigerian government’s failure to implement the agreements it had made with ASUU. The strike has left university campuses deserted, as lecturers continue to shun classrooms.

What Is The Purpose Of ASUU?

ASUU is a trade union that seeks to regulate relations between academic staff and employers, encourage the participation of its members in the affairs of the university system and of the nation, protect and advance the socio-economic and cultural interests of the nation, and establish good working conditions for academic staff.
