Romance / My Bad Experience With @sanli_wigs by infoyabatechstu: 11:04am On Sep 12, 2018
My experience with @sanli_wigs, So I saw the hair @sanli_wigs posted on ig and it was really really nice in picture, I took my time to go through her business ig page, I saw a lot of human hair she posted and twas really really catchy. As a hair lover na, I got really really interested. To cut the long story short, I made a pick amongst the human hair she dispalyed in pictures, we got talking, I sent my payment to her, and expecting my new ordered human hair wig to be delivered in no time. Eventually I got the item delivered.

To my greatest surprise the supposedly HUMAN HAIR WIG @sanli_wigs portrayed online was TOTALLY DIFFERENT from what she delivered. @sanli_wigs sold me a F##king FIBRE, the length I ordered DIFFERENT, the hair @sanli_wigs sold is a COMPLETE FIBRE with a human hair closure ONLY. I called her back and made a bitter complaint, but as expected from a SCAM seller @sanli_wigs, she refused and ONCE she recieves money from u, theres NO REFUND NO RETURN which is TOTAL SCAM.

Prospective buyers THIS IS MY customer REVIEW for @sanli_wigs

Attached below is her PACKAGING, Vs the Hair I ordered Vs what was delivered

Education / Yabatech Acquires Plagiarism Detecting Software by infoyabatechstu: 10:42pm On Jul 12, 2018
The Governing Council Chairman of Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN, hinted that Yabatech has acquired state of the art security software that can detect any act of plagiarism in projects and thesis written by students and lecturers. Fagbemi stated this at the 11th International Science, Technology, Education, Arts, Management and Social Sciences (ISTEAMS) conference organized by the Research Nexus Africa Network (RNAN) in collaboration with the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP) Yabatech chapter, where he spoke on the theme, “Plagiarism and its legal implications within academic environments: consequences on the institutions and offenders”. He said that the software could detect the slightest act of plagiarism and copyright fringes; with the software, the College was confident that products were now better secured and their final works, much more reassuring adding that the conference was apt as it brought to the front burner the unfortunate situation of plagiarism. “Educational institutions must step up the quality control mechanisms and academic papers submitted by writers must be thoroughly checked to detect a possibility of plagiarism. This is where the deployment of technology comes in. “Relevant software must be acquired by our institutions to detect any possible case of plagiarism so that it could be nipped in the bud”. He said.

Fagbemi noted that plagiarism was prevalent not only in the higher institutions of learning but also in science, journalism, literature, film creation and other areas. The academic and intellectual industry, plagiarism was a serious ethical offence, therefore plagiarism cases could be detected even in works of famous writers, songs, filmmakers, philosopher, scientist, and public workers among others. “Plagiarism is not in itself a crime, but can constitute copyright infringement” He therefore recommended that institutions must step up the quality control mechanisms, while government must set up legislative intervention in curbing the problem of plagiarism. “Our laws must be re-jigged to cater for the menace as a specific problem which deserves a special and deliberate solution. “The legislature must promulgate laws that specifically and pointedly address plagiarism, and all its variance, taking it away from the adaptation of the copyright laws, under which it is currently treated. I am optimistic that with a specific law in place, apart from the current copyright laws on them would increase, thereby raising the awareness and acting as deterrence to further culprits”.

Education / Yabatech To Begin Open Distance Learning, Trains Lecturers On Initiative by infoyabatechstu: 2:11pm On Jul 06, 2018
Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) in collaboration with National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) organized Open Distance & Flexible Learning (ODFL) training, titled “train the trainer workshop” for her lecturers drawn from twelve departments approved for the take off of ODFL by NBTE.

The vision of NBTE for all Polytechnics in Nigeria is to adopt Distance learning and make judicious use of it to the maximum. NBTE had trained lecturers from various Polytechnics and has mandated them to go into their respective schools to train others, in order to spread the knowledge of distance learning in all departments, so that ODFL will kick off in Nigerian Polytechnics. Speaking at the workshop, the Director of Flexible Skill Development (FSD) Dr. I.A. Abdul welcomed the participants and advised them to pay rapt attention to the facilitators and ask necessary question.

The representative of NBTE, Elder Ayo Aroge commended the workshop and encouraged the participants to go back to their departments after the training to train other staff on how to use the platform. Aroge stated that he was happy because ODFL is not new in Yabatech because FSD has been planted in the College which has germinated and it is growing. “Tertiary Institution E- resource is a project to capture the former sector. NBTE is saying that student can stay at home to receive lecture; it is practicable all over the world and we are finding it difficult to plant it here, how can we capture the heart of student in this aspect? They are familiar with social media; let us transform it to learning because students are technology compliance. NBTE is initially planning for 70% to 30% i.e 70% for online learning while 30% is for face-to-face revision, practical and examination, it will move next to 90% to 10% and will eventually transform to 100% online. I therefore encourage the partakers to be active and at the end of the day they will be better for it”. Earlier in his speech, Yabatech Rector Engr. Obafemi Omokungbe explained that for over seventy years our education system has relied on face-to-face methods of classroom teaching, however, to be able to maintain our leading position in the future, Yabatech must develop and perfect her ODFL system to meet the demand of time. ODFL is one of the most rapidly growing fields of education and it will be an important element of future education and training systems. “In May 24, 2017, the NBTE approved the implementation of ODFL in 12 programmes for Yabatech and 29 for other Polytechnics. Prior to this approval, the College established the FSD centre in April 2016 with 3 departments, one of which is ODFL department. The ODFL department of the FSD centre came up with a draft ODL policy for the College in January 2017 but its implementation was suspended pending the launching of the NBTE/M8 FSD/TIER project. Yabatech has been an active participant in the FSD/TIER project since inception mainly because of our belief in potential of ODFL to increase access to quality Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in formal and non- formal sector”. “The promise of ODFL remains unfulfilled in many education institutions in spite of their good initiatives due to their failure to recognize key planning and implementing steps. At Yabatech we ensured a great deal of planning with careful and systematic implementation strategy to avoid pitfalls and unnecessary failures. Extensive capacity development is one of such strategies and that is the focus of this staff training.” He added.

Education / Yabatech Bids First Female Rector Farewell by infoyabatechstu: 12:12pm On Jun 30, 2018
The Management, staff and students of Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) in collaboration with the Joint Christian Management Committee of the College recently organized a befitting farewell Service of Songs for the first female Rector in Nigeria and in Yabatech, late Chief (Mrs.) Felicia Abimbola Odugbesan. Odugbesan served as the Rector of Yabatech from 1993 to 2001 meritoriously and eventually retired from active service. She was born in November 20, 1946 and died in April 3, 2018 in the United State of America. Speaking at the Service of Songs, the Women in Technical Education (WITED) National Coordinator, Princess Regina Amadi noted that Odugbesan was the founder of WITED in Nigeria; and it has spread to 46 Polytechnics in Nigeria. She advised the attendee not to mourn her but rather emulate her.

“There are a few people in life who cross your path and they leave indelible impression on your mind. Such impression does not come from just their status, wealth or lineage but from their uncommon individual with an uncommon approach and an uncommon trench. Chief Odugbesan lived a meritorious and courageous life; she positively touched many lives as a teacher, erudite scholar, a visionary, and an administrator per excellence. She is a woman of no little statute nationally and intentionally, a devoted Christian, a committed family woman, a leader, a great mentor to the younger generation, a builder of human capacity and a great contributor beyond WITED and Yabatech, but to the national development” she added. Amadi noted that there are numerous comments about our departed leader from different WITED chapters of Polytechnics in Nigeria; one can begin to understand that Odugbesan was indeed a rare gem who distinguished herself to the service of humanity and God. She had numerous laudable achievements to even keep accurate track of a great educationist and an accomplished leader; she touched and mentored many lives, and won many laurels. Now we all can understand that God the creator does not make mistake in such things, He takes the best. In his condolence message the Rector of Yabatech, Engr. Obafemi Omokungbe explained that the news of Odugbesan death was received with a deep sense of shock in the entire community but with gratitude to God for the trail blazing life that she lived; indeed a life of vision, tremendous courage and great achievements. “We at Yabatech are particularly grateful for her service to the College especially in different capacities of Head of Department of Town Regional Planning; Dean Student Affairs and First Female Rector of the College. We are proud of the many legacies she left behind and shall continue to cherish our fondest memories of her as a friend; a loving mother to many and an astute administrator” Omokungbe added. The Dean, School of Environmental Studies, Dr. J.O. Oke in his tribute stated that Odugbesan motivated and taught many students who are now making waves in various capacities nationally. She belonged to many professional bodies; as an administrator she scored a number of first in these areas which are: first female Head of Department of Urban and Regional Planning; first
female Dean of School of Environmental Studies, first female Dean Student Affairs, first female Rector in Yabatech.

Oke revealed that her administrative prowess went beyond Nigeria as she was the former Vice Chairman West African Region of Commonwealth Association of Polytechnics in Africa. She was a socialite and she held traditional titles such as Yeye Onigege Ara of Odoragushi Lagos state and Ajisetoba of Isiwo Ogun State.
