In this modern-day world, False doctrines and teachings has really spread rampant and has been used by so many pastors who claimed to follow and speak for God Almighty to deceived so many gullible people who have Itching ears and are ready to accept anything which will feed their fleshy desires.

Now, this topic should not be new for most of you. You do this every Sunday without questioning because your pastors say so or has used some certain bible verses to support his claim. Since we call ourselves Christians and we always want to follow what is written in the bible, what God has placed in his word, we always want to let scripture has the final say What does scripture say concerning Tithing and should we as modern-day believers’ tithe? and if we should tithe, are should it be done?

Let’s Begin!
First of all, let’s see how modern-day church teach the doctrine of tithing. Modern day church teach that you should give 10% of your income to the God and if you don’t give 10% you might be robbed of your blessings from God. But wait! Is any of these Biblical? To burst your bubble, the answer to that is a Capital NO! In today word people like jumping around in the scripture to make it sound biblical.
Now like Apostle Paul said in 2 Timothy 2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
So, let’s go to scripture. The first time we see tithes was in the book of Genesis 14:14-20 where Abraham Gave Melchizedek 1/10th of the spoils he got from a war. And this is the first place in scripture where we see a tithe been done. Now! Any time you speak against tithing, people always like to use this verse to defend themselves. But if you take a closer look at what is done today in these churches it does not match what Abraham did.

Abraham was not required to give 1/10th to Melchizedek he did it on his own free will and this is an example of a tithe in the bible. So, it was not a requirement, but if you go to most churches today, they always say you have to bring a 1/10th of your income as a tithe. Whenever I see this, it makes me feel sad to see how deceptions has really spread in the church. If you feel you are led to give then that is fine, for Yahweh loves a cheerful giver. But it is not a requirement and don’t teach people by saying it is a requirement and if they fail to do so, they will be cursed. That is a big lie from the pit of Hell because scripture never said that.
Now is there any other place in scripture where tithing was practice? Yes, this is where we discuss the Israelites. Jacob whose name was changed to Israel by Yahweh had 12 sons namely Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Joseph and Benjamin.

Later in scripture in Genesis 48 we see that Jacob made Joseph two sons Ephraim and Manasseh their own tribes. But with this it becomes 13 tribes not 12 tribes. If you go to the book of Number chapter 1 the tribe of Levi were not numbered by Moses, for God had appoint them over the tabernacle of the testimony. So, the Levites were the priests of Israel. They were not given an Inheritance. So, the other 12 tribes got all the lands except the tribe of Levi. Because of this God told the other 12 tribes to support the tribe of Levi. So, the Tithes the other 12 Tribes gave was to support the tribe of Levi. You should understand this!
Let’s Read Number 18:22 “Behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tithes in Israel as an inheritance in return for the work which they perform, the work of the tabernacle of meeting.” Also read Numbers 18:25 -26 where it says 1/10th. You see! This was part of the law and it was not even money but it was crops.

Okay, this is the part where most pastors love to read just to justify their teachings. This is found in Malachi 3:8-10 let’s read
“Will a man Rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But ye say ‘In what way have we robbed you? In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the store house, that they may be food in my house, and try me now in this, says YHWH, If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will be not be room enough to receive it.”
Most pastors love to use this verse by saying if you don’t pay your tithes, you will receive this curse. Whenever I hear this, I say to myself the enemy Satan has really use so many claim men of God to draw many people away from God. This verse is taken out of context. This verse does not apply to the church! This was for the Israelites not the church! You are not taking your tithes to any Leviticus Priest.

Finally, we also see Jesus or Yeshua in Hebrew spoke about tithing. I personally like to use his Hebrew name because so many people use the English Name Jesus and claim to know him but don’t follow his commandment and they use this name to cause so many confusions as to what the true Jesus actually is teachings. So, I personally prefer to go with the Hebrew name because there is not much confusion here. Okay back to the topic.
In Mathew chapter 23 Yeshua speak against the pharisees concerning the tithes. That though they tithe they leave out the other heavier matters of the law. Yeshua was from the tribe of Judah and he was under the law meaning he ought to have kept the law by Tithing. If he had not kept the law by not tithing, he would have broken the law which mean he wouldn’t have been the Messiah.
Now you have seen all these. You should know by now that tithing was meant for the Israelites and was a command to support the Levites. Abraham Tithes not out of requirements but out of what God placed in his heart.

Get this! I am not trying to tell you not to give! No! that is not what I am saying. What I am saying is you should not give out of requirements by saying a must 10% and called it tithes. You should give as you are led to give through the holy spirit. Be a cheerful giver not giving because your church say it is a requirement you give 10% which we have already seen in this video to be a lie from the pit of hell and this is one of the tricks they use to twist the scriptures and use it for their own fleshly gained. Let’s read 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
“But this I say He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully, so let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”
As you saw from the verse, we should give as God places in our heart not out of necessity. There are so many religious people who will always make sure they pay their 10% tithes every Sunday but these hypocrites! When they see a homeless man or someone in need of food, they will walk pass them and not give them a dime.

So many people now have the notion that they are blessed because they tithe. Let me tell you all something! God is not an investment bank or a genie! Your blessings are not because your tithes. This doctrine of tithing is a man-made doctrine not doctrine from God Almighty. How do you know he only wants 10% and not more or less? depending on what you have. This is why you should be led by the holy spirit and to give as God place in your heart. Always allow scriptures has the last say and run away from false teachings by fake prophets. If you study your bible and ask God for Understanding and discernment you will not be led astray! Remember
2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
