How employable is a geophysics graduate in the oil and gas industry. Seems only the engineers get the job in most oil and gas coy from the comments in most oil and gas thread in this forum . As an undergraduate of geophysics,i would really appreciate technical and professional insight.Tanks |

I must commend all the previous posters for the invaluable insight into the oil and gas industry.I have gained alot. I intend to study petroleum engineering but was later given geophysics,am presently in my first year as undergraduate.my problem is that i dont really know how marketable is geophysics in the oil and gas industry and even outside it.I am considering changing course to petroleum engineering but that will cost me one academic year and finance.please i want you people to advice me if it worth and also analyse the importance of studying geophysics. |
