If you catch hell, don’t hold it, if you are going through hell, don’t stop! Chiazokam Obinwa is an example of someone who went through hell but never stopped. He was expelled from secondary school, however the circumstances brought about a positive change in him. He picked the pieces of his life together, turned to God, went back to school and recently completed his University education. That is not all.

Now, he helps others not only from being expelled from school but also from being expelled eternally. He is now a Christian motivational speaker with a focus on teenagers and youths. God be praised! Below is Chiazokam’s account of his experience.



I STILL REMEMBER THIS DAY LIKE IT WAS JUST YESTERDAY!

I was called for in the Superintendent’s office on our closing day and handed a letter to give my mum (whom was still mourning the loss of my dad) when I got home. Honestly, I knew it was ‘bad news’ but I didn’t know it was going to be that bad . . . lol

I can’t remember who picked me from school that day (wasn’t a family member though) because all the while, I was engrossed in thoughts of what might be the content of this brown envelope. I couldn’t wait to tear it open when I got home, even before I could pull off my green & white daywear . . .

. . . boy, was I devastated!!!

That was my first experience with depression. I felt I had become a failure in life. I died from my inside! This was right after SS2 third term? Where would I start? WASSCE & NECO registration was just few months away. I almost slumped. I was the ONLY student who got expelled in my set. What a shame, boy!!!! I was deeply hurt. I didn’t think I was ‘that bad’ to be expelled. Till today, I just don’t think I merited the expulsion . . . just saying though!
I summoned courage and called my elder sister (who was just married) and explained the situation to her, knowing that she would always understand. Yes, She did! � I called my brothers . . . surprisingly, they were all on my side. Then I finally told my mum . . . hmmmm! I LOVE THAT WOMAN! yeah! She stood by me hook, line and sinker!

Long story short . . .

It’s exactly 7 years today!
I just submitted my final year project 8 hours ago and signing out soon after 6 years within the four walls of a university! Now . . . that’s not even the testimony!

Two years ago, by the help of Jesus, I founded and registered a team (CHID-Team) and we’ve invaded 32 different secondary schools on about 45 different occasions (re-visitations/follow-up included) in 6 different cities in South Eastern Nigeria. We’ve reached out to about 7,000 teenagers with the good news of God’s plans and purposes for their lives and led about 4,000 of them to Jesus and so many of their teachers too.

This JESUS is GOOD! I’m a testimony!

I can remember a school in Onitsha where I rounded up with my life story and the plenty youthful pitfalls contained in them and led them to Christ. The principal stood up and thanked me heartily and said to the students, with so much emotion in her heart, “CHIAZOKAM HAS MADE THESE MISTAKES, SO THAT YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO MAKE THEM”. Tears welled up my eyes, I just couldn’t contain them.

At that moment, it dawned on me that indeed . . . THE PLACE OF YOUR GREATEST PAIN IS USUALLY THE PLACE OF YOUR GREATEST MINISTRY!

��The one expelled from school now helps others get expelled from the gates of hell and into God’s plans for their lives!
Failure is not the opposite of success, it is a part of it!

I decided to respond to this post because I have once been a victim of ceaseless nightmares so much that i used to dread night times. It took years before i overcame the experience.
What i realised then was that i'm usually weaker and more fearful whenever i have sinned during the day. I became more committed and yielded to the Holy spirit and I started trying as much as possible with the help of the Holy spirit to keep away from sin, whenever i sin i make sure i ask God for forgiveness immediately i realised or before i retire to bed. I included some prayer points before i go to bed which are specifically targeted at rebuking and binding every spirit of oppression and nightmares. With these i became more powerful in my dreams/ nightmares and able to effectively invoke the name of Jesus to fight back anytime i have a nightmare. The name of Jesus and the blood of Jesus is more effective when you are not holding on to iniquity. Gradually the frequent nightmares ceased to be and now it's a story for the past.
It was not just by any Pastor's effort that i overcame but by the help of the Holyspirit who gave me power to conquer.

Putting on the Whole Armour of God – Eph. 6:10-18


No doubt, we are in the evil days and as Christians we need to be able to withstand the storm and the lures of following the crowd and above all to stand till the end. How do we go about this? Eph 6:13-18 summarises what we need to have as soldiers of the cross

1. Truth on the Loins (lower part of the body below the waist): Let truth be your watch word. Be sincere in your dealings, you should stand for integrity. When you are not guided by truth, your lower body can easily be attacked in different ways and that is why the sins of immorality is rampant today

2. Breastplate (like a bullet proof vest) of righteousness: The breast plate is likened unto a bullet proof of today which serves the purpose of protecting the heart and other internal organs of the body around the chest and waist area. The righteousness of the breast plate is not self-righteousness but the righteousness obtained through the sanctification of the blood of Jesus and daily walking in the spirit. When we are protected by this breast plate of righteousness, our hearts are guarded against sin.

3. Feet shod with preparation for the gospel of peace: i.e. peaceful evangelism. As you go about, share the word with people not only through you words but through your action, let others see Christ in you more by your actions than by what you say. Spread the gospel of Christ by showing love for others. It is easier to share the gospel of Christ with someone when he or she is convinced that you care.

4. Shield of Faith: This is another shield which we have to hold on to. It is comparable to the shield the warrior holds to dodge any arrow or spears being shot in his direction. Every attack (fiery darts) of the enemy is compared to arrows or spears being shot at a warrior. We need faith as a shield to overcome all these attack.

5. Helmet of salvation: The head is one of the most important parts of the body and that is why the helmet of salvation is very important. You need to be saved. Have you given your life to Christ? Everybody knows Jesus but does Jesus know you as His child who has surrendered all to him? How can you be saved?

Acknowledge that you are a sinner needing forgiveness
Confess your sin to God in prayer (praying in Jesus name)
Repent and ask God for forgiveness
Pray that the Holy Spirit will come into your life and help you to live holy by admonishing you and teaching you to differentiate between what is right or wrong.

6. Sword of the Spirit(Word of God): This is actually the only weapon that we have for attacking the enemy. The others listed so far are for defence. There is power in the spoken word and that is why traditional religion makes use of incantations. Every word that we need to fight the enemy is already written in the Bible. We need to make these words a part of our life so that at any point in time we are ready with the sword of the spirit. The word of God is also the manual that teaches you how to put into use all the armour. It is also the food for your soul.

Lastly, watch and pray; as soldiers of the cross you have to be at alert, watch and pray always. The enemy is waiting for your unguarded hour to strike. Be of good courage, Jesus has overcome the World (John16:33). Light will always overcome darkness (John1:5)

In the spirit of bringing back the days of hymn singing which goes a long way in soul lifting, i think we should share at least one hymn for each day.The Hymn for today is 'I Come to The Garden Alone'

While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses.

From my understanding of the rapture, the rapture is comparable to a big magnet that can only pick metallic object, Rapture will only be able to pick sinfree individuals at the moment of rapture that is why we have to constantly live in the spirit. We need to repent and confess of any sin the moment we realised we have sinned, we should also constantly ask for the purification of the blood of Jesus to cleanse us from time to time as only by His grace can we stand, we have no righteousness of our own but the righteousness through the blood of Jesus. Only by Grace can we enter into His rest.

sweetcheecks: You change your attitude towards God. You do not take him as a stranger but your Father who loves you very much and want the best for you.

1. Ask but say according to thy will, at Thy perfect time. Becouse when God blesses us the wrong time it may seperate us from him and he love us too much to give us somith that will take us away from Him.

2. Believe you have recieved but you are being prepared for your new role. Find learnings in you situation God may be teaching you things.

3. Do not repeat the samething all the time He hears you, He is not deaf.

4. Speak and live the word. Bring evidance into your prayers that what you are praying the Word supports it. It has already been given to you, now you are just following the process to get what belongs to you according to your Fathers riches in Glory.

5. Stand. Do not be moved, dont loose hope, dont be discouraged.

6. Thank God for all He has done.

7. Change your attitude. Live like you have recieved what you are asking for. That is Prepare for your blessing.

Just to add
Ensure you are not harbouring some unconfessed sins. Search deep within, will what you are praying for glorify God? Are you praying amiss? Are you harboouring unforgiveness in your heart? these are things you need to check, God want the best for us and He would not deny us of what He knows is good for us. If all these are in place. Believe you have received, prepare for the manifestation with thanksgiving and be patient, your answer might just be at the door.

Thanks for this message. We Christians need to get our focus right,we should worship God for who He is and not just for what we can get from Him. Contentment goes a long way in the Christian life. The thirst for material things, fame and power is responsible for what most churches are today, most of the sermon are all about how you can have it all in this present world with little or no message on salvation,holiness, contentment and eternity.

I think it has to do with how each individual react in pains, I usually don't scream when in Labour, i groan with sounds 'hmmn' at intervals, a number of times the nurses had to crosscheck my countenance to be sure i was still in labour even though i've had to labour for over 12 hrs. They commended that i must be really strong but no, i don't really see it as being strong but rather i was conserving the little energy i had for pushing instead of tasking myself more with screaming and shouting.

labour is not an easy thing and everyone reacts differently.

Each individual will stand by the throne of God to give account not each church, a lot of Churches have derailed, yes but don't forget your Church was never gonna get you to Heaven but your personal relationship with Jesus, let's focus on Jesus, read your Bible and let the Holy spirit direct you on which one of the messages being preached from the pulpit to pick. If we have to judge most churches these days, we might end up not attending any. You may have reservations about some churches but let God be the judge.

@Kwenu. I may not be able to explain your dream of sitting on the fence perfectly but i know sitting on the fence literarily means being neutral. In my dream when i found myself sitting on the fence which happened some years back, Someone actually came to me and explained a lot of things to me that there was really no fence, the fence is an illusion by the enemy to make you feel you are neutral and not in the devil's camp, it's either you are with Jesus or you are not. Remember the statement Pilate asked the crowd, what shall we do with Jesus, neutral we cannot be? One day that same question will be rephrased to be 'what have you done with Jesus?
He is a corner stone for some(those who believe and live for him) while He is a stumbling block for some (those who reject him)

There is no fence, no middle line it's either you are here or there. i have had many experiences of God and i have so much enjoyed the personal relationship i have with Christ, i'm not perfect yet in my imperfections He is refining me each day till He brings out the best in me.

@Temilolaoluwa. Thanks, i purposely logged in to support your experiences as i have also had many experiences of God that i am so sure of His existence and His love.
It's unfortunate, Christianity these days have been so bastardized that many so-called Christians have dragged God's name in the mud but it's good to know that there are still some people standing. Let others see Christ in you through your lifestyle rather than by your words, i believe that if a lot of Christians can adopt this, we will be seeing a lot of changes in what we have in the church today.

I know Christianity is a personal race so i try to forget about the fake Christians and focus on Jesus the author and finisher of our faith as everyone will stand Alone to give account on judgement day.

To those who think they are sitting in the middle line, i was once like that until i had a dream where i was sitting on the fence and someone came to meet me and told me to cross to the other side (The Lord's Camp)as i was still in the devil's camp, there was really no middle, it's just the devil's way of deceiving people.

To the doubting Thomases, may it not be too late for you to believe.Amen

Accept my sympathy on the loss. May God comfort you and give you children that will stay. In all thank God that your wife is alive. A lot of people never lived to tell the story. I went through something similar but the PIH(pregnancy induced hypertension) started developing in the 3rd trimester. I was placed on bed rest and from there i was induced into labour, it was not an easy experience. My blood pressure kept soaring high with every measurement, the anxiety was contributing to it. But when i looked back now, i thank God.

Finally i was delivered of the baby alive to avert a terrible situation but that was not the end of it. Some days after delivery i had post partum heamorrhage (heavy or profuse bleeding after childbirth) i got prompt attention, and i was evacuated but i had lost about 4 pints of blood within some minutes. Every minute was precious as i was loosing blood by the seconds. I almost gave up the ghost but i kept praying and held on to my faith in God. I survived it even after collapsing due to much loss of blood. All hands were on deck to attend to me at the hospital and God heard my prayer. Post partum heamorrhage (PPH), heavy or profuse bleeding after childbirth has resulted in the death of many women after childbirth. It is caused by a number of reasons but women who had PIH and have been induced to labour are more prone to it. It usually occurs within the first 6 weeks after child birth. If you notice any unusual bleeding or large clot of blood after childbirth please get in touch with your hospital ASAP. The clean bill of health for women who have just given birth can only be guarantee after 6 weeks. I heard a lot of similar cases after mine and most of the women are dead.

The health system in Nigeria is not so good and people might have to pay through their noses to get good attention but ensure that whichever hospital you are visiting, they have capable and experinced staff who know what to do.

Also in all, put everything in prayers.

PFN(Pentecostal Federation of Nigeria) has made a call to all christians to embark on a prayer and fasting on the 16th of this month in regards to the state of the nation. Please let us set all pride and prejudice aside and embark on this fast irrespective of your denomination or church. The enemy does not know if you are a catholic, pentecostal, orthodox, adventist or whatever. Please let us unite as one, division has been the weapon of the enemy, the body of Christ has been divided for too long. It might not be you this time but we should not keep quiet when our brothers and sisters in different parts of the countries are being terrorised.

There was another sugar made in the same cube shape, packaged in a box named Tate, it was being manufactured by Tate & Lyle Company sometimes in the 8s and 90s before the company folded up.

The roads linking Lokoja through Kabba - Mopa - Isanlu to Ilorin is in a terrible state and when i spoke with many of the residents i was made to know that it is as a result of the numerous Obajana Cement heavy trucks (an average of 20 in number per day) transporting cement through that road on a daily basis. Road transportation from Ilorin to Abuja now takes about 4 more hours longer and cost more than before as commercial transporters now avoid the road and would rather go from kwara State to Ekiti State then back to Kogi State to Abuja just to avoid that particular road. It's a much longer route but this will save the commercial drivers from the dangers of passing through that road.

It's a federal road but the road grew from bad to worse when the cement trucks started transporting through that road on a daily basis.
Obajana cement factory was meant to be a blessing to the state but this issue of damages to the roads needs to be looked into. It seems the tax being collected from Dangote's Obajana cement is not being used to address the dilapitating state of the roads.
