Does this clown even understands anything about security protocol? A security officer is beholden to the whims of their principal. His professional service exists upon the agreement of their principal. He offers protection/advice which can be accepted or declined by his principal.

Don't blame your son for lacking the foresight to restrain his excesses.



Edit: This post has gained traction and by some of the replies to it, I can tell that some of you have a very romanticized view of security operatives from the movies. The security operatives in this case will be used as cat paws by Buhari.

Let me cite an instance: In 2010, a plane carrying the Polish president Lech Kaczyński and 95 other top govt functionaries crashed and they all died. The blackbox investigation revealed that the pilot had informed the President that the conditions were not favourable to land the plane in the thick fog but the pilot was over ruled by the President that he must land the plane. The rest is history.

The late Polish president had a habit of over ruling pilots. His previous pilot had refused to land the plane in similar perilous circumstances. That pilot spent years in jail.

Not sure, but if I were in your shoes, I will contact the embassy/consulate by email, LagosNIV@state.gov and if they reply saying it is okay, I will print that reply and take it along with me to the interview.
