[b]Within the past 24 hours, I have received Numerous Phone calls, Sms messages, Instant Messages, Emails from Friends, Clients, Potential Clients, Pre Order Arrangements Clients and Associates to mention a few, Stating their attentions been drawn to an assortment of advertorials written and instigated by "Yahoo", since NAIRALAND AUTO FORUM current cover story, entitled: ( Inspired_men: the Ultimate Fraudster on Nairaland )

Its been a Sad/Bitter experience Indeed, An Eye Opener and a Thunderbolt.

I Wasn't particularly Shocked, Sighting the Topic at first, as I naturally expected a fight back from "YAHOO" so I was not in the least surprised at his moves to cast doubts on the authenticity of my Personality and Car Adverts, following My Termination of his Appointment as My Courier Staff a few days Earlier, but after Reading a few paragraphs of his Fabricated & Scandalous Episode, I became Unsettled, Because I knew A Lot was at Stake Considering My Reputation On the Forum and My Self Acclaimed Certified Auto Vendor, Power Seller and A Custodian of The Cleanest Cars On the Forum.

Strong Competitors, Contenders, Adversaries, PlayeR Haters Immediately Took Undue Advantage In the Wraith Campaign to Smear My Personality, Swooped On the Skepticism Of My Credibility and Started Saying All Sorts.

Naturally, My Instinct became Defensive, Paranoid and Uptight, I had a Flashback for a While, Who have I defrauded ? Who do I have Scores to Settle With ? and without any Phantomest clue In my Memory but Knowing Fully Aware of the Mediocrity / Stunted mind of the Poster I discarded the Post.

Much Sooner Than Later, Accusations / Counter Accusations Started Raging in from Known and unknown Quarters, it was then I realized it was a serious Business.

A Long List of Allegations were Piled Up which I could not affix to the Topic of Being a Fraudster,Issues Like :

1. He doesnt Have an Office, makes Him a Fraudster

2. He doesnt Own all the Cars He advertised , makes him a Fraudster

3. He Lives in a One Bedroom Guest Charlette In Maryland , makes him a Fraudster

4. He Has not been to the United States, makes him a Fraudster

5. He makes more than #100,000 on cars He sold But gives Him (Yahoo) #500 or at best 1000 per day, Makes him a fraudster

6. Ultimately, He Rolls back Mileages & Sells Accidented cars Of Cars that doesn't belong to him, Can I Roll back the Mileage of a Car that is not Mine ?.

Unfortunately, My detractors failing to read in between the Lines, Swung into Various Vituperations, Scolding, Smearing, Defacing and Assassinating My Character on the Forum.

I Was Looking for the Least Clue to make these ''Pharisees'' realize that I'm not a Fraudster, I challenged Anyone that I ever Defrauded to come Out and Spill the Beans, I also Challenged Anyone that has bought a Badly Accidented Car from me to Come out and Narrate their Experiences just in order to Authenticate These Allegations, I Quickly Reiterated that I had sold 97 cars On Nairaland, and That if Anyone comes out to Verify his being defrauded, I will Quit the Forum. No one has showed Up.

Several Minutes After, the Opposition Camp realizing they were fast losing their Grips came Out with the Issue Of Posting Of Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) Along with Car Adverts.

These has been a Long Discussed Issues On the Forum, Several of my Adverts has been Attacked on the VIN issue and I have painstakingly Explained My stance and Reasons I don't Post Vin along with Car Adverts, Many Notable dealers On here don't Post Vin with car adverts Including Viperman and they don't get attacked the Way I've being attacked. I don't hide the VIN of the Cars I sell, I can't Hide the Vin of the cars i've sold, Its written all over the Car, I've had situations where Clients came for Personal Inspections and noted the VIN down for their Independent Checks.

Why Only Inspired huh?

My Personal Philosophy is that If You Like a car Enough to want to buy it, An Email requesting for the VIN is not too much to ask, It makes me keep track record of Interests In each particular Vehicle, and I can easily send a Reminder to the Interested Buyer, its Simple.

I have sold so many Salvaged cars, Properly Rebuilt & Renewed Vehicles, Clean Titled Vehicles, I believe in the Idea of Full disclosures To intended Buyers< and No one is Under Obligation to buy my Vehicles Advertised, if it pleases you, request for the Vin, If it doesnt, Kindly Jump to the Next Thread.

I Personally think the Administrator of the Website who Oversees the Forum Understands These issues better, I am not the Only dealer On Nairaland Autos Section.

Additionally, The Pre Order Arrangements of Cars from the USA I initiated a few weeks Back has been a tremendous Success, its easy to become Wealthy if you have a Pragmatic Solution to Peoples Problems. Realistically, I attached VIN to the Advertised cars because Buyers couldn't have Immediate Access to the Pre Ordered Vehicles Advertised, so in order to make their checks and be sure of what they were buying, VIN were attached to each Car Advertised.

Barely after the Second Advertised car On the thread, I was attacked by a nairaland US based dealer by the name Akuya who I strongly believe is *****. the Link is https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-158762.0.html#msg2645968

Normally I rose to the Attack and Defended the Allegation of Fraud, A couple of Days Later I was Vindicated When the Car was Delisted off The Link.

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-158762.64.html#msg2686952

The Close Watchers with Sinister, Villainous Minds Shoved it aside and No comment was made. Even Our Dear Investigative Officer Akuya's eyes were blind to the Links that Vindicated my earlier Claims.

Finally,

To clear the Air, I will Post the VIN numbers of the Present Cars I have for Sale Starting from tomorrow 25th September 2008, And I have Resolved that When I hit the 100th Car Sold On Nairaland, I will Quit Advertising USED cars on this forum.
I will focus mainly on my Pre order Arrangements.

This is being done to raise the bar of My Business Self Styled Professionalism.

I have taken this Irreconcilable Decision to give in to other Rookie / Wannabe car dealers to advertise their vehicles, and make a Living out of it.

As a Young man, I have also learnt a lesson that the Closest person that feeds from the Crumbs that fall off your table is the One likely to Bring You down, Ive learnt to particularly pay Close attention to My Security Guards, My Cook, My Driver, My House Maids, As In this Particular case My Courier Staff.

Finally, I express My profound gratitude to Mr Seun Osewa ( The Owner / Administrator of Nairaland Website ) for giving me the Privilege to Exhibit My Sales Skills, Educate My Fellow Forumites, and Make Lots of Cents from My Car Adverts.

I also wish to Express My Sincere Appreciations to All & Sundry that Stood and Believed In My Dreams despite The Odds, and for those that have decided to Be part of Our Elevation to the Peak of Our Chosen Profession.

May God Grant Us Long Lives and Prosperity.

Thanks

I gave "Yahoo" #500 per day for being an Errand boy to drop Proforma Invoices, Receipts & other Petty documents, Asides Feeding and giving him Used Wares, His grievances are that I should pay him 100k Per month, For an HND holder that graduated with a Pass ? Hell No, I couldn't have made him more of a Courier Staff. His names are Olatinwo Shola, and he's just a Greedy bastard that i thought i could help his condition, but has failed woefully in his attempt to Smear My image.

I'll be out for the Business Of the day, Hope to be back Later today.

I don't know why we are like this? I mean we Nigerians,
Why do we have to be making issues out of nothing?
If inspiredman has actually defrauded anybody on this forum, can't the person come out and speak?
Someone has sold 97 cars and not even one person can accuse him of any fraud, haba.
What else do we want from this man called Inspiredman.

People said he should post vin numbers of all the cars he has sold on nairaland, but are the vin numbers hidden on the vehicles he has sold? And why can't the so-called defrauded people check the vin numbers on their vehicles to refute any claims inspired might have made for them?

A beg, letz leave this guy alone in his one-room apartment in maryland, because i don't know when that has become a crime. Also, when has being a middleman become a crime when u have not defrauded anyone? If u request a vin from him personally and he's not revealing it then u should move on to the next dealer. If you are so serious and curious about any of his advertised vehicle, then u should go and inspect the car in his so-called baranda office and copy out the vin for yourself, simple!

We should please leave this young man alone because if most of our youths should have his business sense then we shouldn't be having employment issues in the country.

Mind you I do not know inspiredman from anywhere , i am only being objective in this matter.

I need Few More Reasonable Men On this Thread And I will drop My Pen Finally On this.

may i butt in.

at this juncture please do me a favor as an old friend

just leave inspired and his VIN, if u see a thread made by inspired, just pass over it, let everyone do business with whomever they trust, and be 'defrauded' by same or more, its simple CAVEAT EMPTOR

please for my sake relax oh, thanks
nkc, One of Nairaland's smartest guy is back again, Was almost putting a Wanted AD on your name, Thats nice, Keep it up Bro.

well don't really have much too say, but its quite bad for this to be happening. i am a dealer myself and have had this fraudulent accusation levelled against me when i posted an add months ago on trying to help people with cotonu vehicles at a legitimate way. Though i briefly responded and was backed up by Viperman, credibility is a key attribute we must possess when running business like this on nairaland.

Also as regarding info, like VIN number, Pictures e.t.c SORRY guys but as for me i don't do that again because i have personal experiences (not once , twice but even five times when i lost a deal through that means. You mite be wandering how, but i won't explain now.

Please Explain, Probably these guys lost in The western World would Understand Our N
aija Situations better

nice thing u decided 2 leave him alone. and as per checking my post that was also nice, don't wori i wont be checking ur post because i know it wont be worth the effort. cheers
You really Dont have too check his Posts, Let Ziontrain lay 1 good example, Let him advertise a car in Lagos, with the VIn, if he succeeds In Selling it ( Just 1 Car ) with reasonable facts I will Quit Nairaland.

larryshow4:
I would rather go along with most nairalanders asking VIN numbers to be published on so that all this wahala of arguing no go dey go on and on and on. Inspired_men, if you can't provide the VIN numbers of your cars, then i bet there is something fishy about you. It doesn't cost you anything proving that to your fellow nairalanders.

I WILL PROVIDE THE VIN NUMBER ON MY CARS ONLY AND ONLY WHEN A BUYER REQUESTS FOR IT
, That will Remain as long as Nairaland Remains, And as long as THE ADMINISTRATOR of the Website Who probably Understands from my point of View doesn't Object to it
i am indeed amazed at the posts some gentlemen and ladies have put forward. uhm!! here we go again in our beloved naija! now let me throw some light on certain issues already discussed:

1) VIN - also known as vehicle identification number - easily seen at the bottom corner of the driver's side windscreen. can be accessed by anyone intending to buy a vehicle. knowing that we are in an imperfect market in nigeria, it would be best to gothe extra mile to personally retrieve this number and do a self-check on carfax.

2) to get a VIN check, even in the USA you have to pay for it, except otherwise stated, i wonder why nigerian want to get VIN check for free!

3) are ALL ACCIDENTED cars bad? surely not! as long as the accident does not affect the chassis, its cool. i recently bought a handa accord 2003, brought in through a friend, after one glance at the vehicle, i didnt need a VIN check to know its an accidented car! but it sure drives like heaven, my friends avnt stopped pleading that i allow them drive it, took it to honda place and the engine was given an excellent clean bill of health.

4) do i know inspired? no. but i have met him several times in my search for a vehicle and i regert not buying a honda accord 2004 from him. all auto dealers were in the habit of rolling back odometer reading before we all woke to this fact and with the advancement of the internet, cheating was easily identified, even in the USA this is done!

5) inspired is a business man, and his focus is to make profit, you don't have to own a car before you can sell, you could be a middle man and i see nothing wrong with that!

6) is the pre-order business good? yes of course! would i go into it? surely not! why? simple, i had a nasty experience with the arrangement that brought my car, i made advance payment to my friend since feb 2008 and i didnt get the car until aug 2008! and this is a guy we'v known for over 10 years! so i resolved that the next car i buy from inspired will be here in naija and i will pay in full.

i rest my case!
Mr bol_exy,

akuya:
The only thing that is certain here is that Yahoo and Inspired know each other and they are birds of a feather. Everyday as we say, is for the thief.

Inspired, why is it so difficult to defend yourself by posting the VIN of the recent cars you've advertised here when that action with exonerate you completely? There can be only one rational explanation, which is that, the act will further expose you. Who knows it might even reveal that some of the cars are stolen.

I believe another regular poster here, Kuntash, just wrote that you told him that it only takes 40 minutes to roll back a car's mileage. Is he also a liar and someone with bad belle, trying to bring you down? Posting the VINs on your recent postings will clear things up. DO THE RIGHT THING!!

Mr. Seun, I implore you once again that you require dealers to post the VIN numbers of cars 8 years and newer with the exception of those of brand new cars. This will sanitize the site and get rid of these criminals. If as some are saying, it is customary to roll back mileage in Nigeria, your site does not have to provide the avenue for this crime. Everyone except the crooks will benefit from this singular act of VIN posting.

This Inspired is now hiding under the fact that you are silent on the issue. This site is yours and we appreciate your hands off stance and the freedom you provide. But sir, you cannot allow criminal elements to infest your site. I trust that you will intervene. The number of replies to this thread should reveal that you probably need to make an exception here and require VIN numbers to be posted as requested. We shall all be better off. Only the crooks will have nothing to gain by this requirement.

Thank you sir.
It might also Interest Us to know that Akuya Is a Popular US based Dealer on this Forum, using another Username, theres No doubt, The Hunter May soon be Hunted, I Implore the Administrator to look into The issue of identity theft as Well.

EXACTLY, THIS seems to be a case of bad belle against one of nl most successful car dealer. why did mr yahoo have to mention the one bedroom flat in a fraud accusation, since when has staying in one bedroom become fraud, mr yahoo has nt succeding in providing us a single case ,instead he is just laying false accusations in what seem like a desperate bid to slander mr inspired on the turf that made him successful NL.
Accusations & Counter Accusations, I'm already Made From Nairaland, and a Clue to that is If Seun ( Administrator ) Charges me 2 Million Naira per annum to

advertise on Nairaland, I won't still run at a loss, Add that to my Sales Volume on other websites and give me an idea of what im worth.

I personally dont have a Problem with VIN, but what i have a Problem with is that Is Inspired the Only Dealer here that doesn't Post VIN ?

I mean Show me 2 different dealers on this Forum with 10 Car adverts with VIN number,

omodunni:
Mr Yahoo Yahoo i believe this forum is for adults who have the ability to settle their disputes amicably and without washing their dirty laundries in public. I would advice that you take up your personal issues with Mr inspired at his one bedroom flat in Maryland, and if there is a professional issue that you feel we should be made aware of, kindly state your facts in a proficient and dignified manner. The users of this forum are not touts and should not be addressed as yobbos who are supposed to meddle in street fights.
Your job description while working with Mr Inspired reveals that you were nothing more than a ccourier staff at best. And if i were the business owner i would not dole out more than N100 per day for your schedule of duties.
On the odometer issue, you have no basis for attacking Mr Inspired because if what you say is true and he used to rollback the odometer then you are an accessory to the crime committed and you benefitted from the ill-gotten gains. So who are you to stand as a saint and pass judgment on other? Mr Yahoo Yahoo i say shame on you!
I have personally bought two cars from inspired and i do not have a complaint.[/b[b]] Several of my friends have also patronised him and have found him reliable and trust worthy. Please don’t come to this forum and lay claims without hard evidence. Your accusations have been found wanting and lacking of merit and character.
Inspired as never told me or my friends that he resides in California, rather i have always known him to trade on western avenue. As to the fact that he doesn’t have an office, that can be explained as part of the travails of a young struggling man. Also the fact that he doesn’t own any of the cars he advertises is really not a cogent issue because i have never been accosted for driving the car sold to me by inspired neither has anybody disturbed me from peaceably enjoying my car.
AMALA AWETU meaning NOTHING SHALL DISCOURAGE US: I SAY NOTHING SHALL DISCOURAGE US FROM BUYING CARS FROM MR INSPIRED BECAUSE HE INSPIRES OUR TRUST AND HAS NEVER GIVEN US CAUSE TO DISTRUST HIM.

On a last note, i advice that you take stock of your words and refrain from biting the finger that fed you and stop being the same old Nigerian who tries to destroy his fellow progressive citizen at all costs. Let Naira land move forward, Let Nigeria be at Peace and let us all buy cars and enjoy driving them.
Your Registered date on this forum was 16th June 2008, I Personally cant remember You, But thanks All the Same.

I expect lots of Clients who have bought cars from Me On nairaland to come out and share Your experience. I mean how I "defrauded" you.

I implore People to take a look at "Yahoo" last 100 posts, i think that will give Us a Clue.
