JOB DESCRIPTION - General Accountant
The role requires a person with significant experience with accounting concepts and working within a finance function for a medium size company. The role requires practical experience with setting up and being an integral part of the accounting processes and procedures for a service based institution.

A formal background in accounting is welcome but not necessary to perform in this role.
Responsibilities would (not be limited to, but) include:

a. Preparing the daily working capital position for the institution
b. Reconciling all funds paid our via the various channel partners with the statement of accounts provided by our banks
c. Following up with channel partners on every case of unauthorized system or manually generated debits
d. Recovery of any outstanding funds erroneously paid out
e. Preparing daily reimbursement requests from the various channel partners
f. Responding to all customer inquiries about non receipt of funds or insufficient funds
g. Creating a working trial balance for all expenses and income, and the generation of a monthly P&L for management review
h. Working with our external auditors to provide technical support for year-end audit
i. Preparing our net P&L position to support tax certification at a State and Federal level.

Work Schedule:
- 5 Days a week
- 8am to 5:00pm

Remunerations
- Salary to be paid at end (30th) of every month
Rates N300,000 – N400,000

Experience and adaptability to working in a Financial Technology Company will be key to the end salary agreed upon.
