Good evening great minds, please I urgently needs your contributions. I applied for student visa recently with my wife as dependant. However, I received a mail 5 days after our application that my wife should provide more supporting evidence to proof her relationship with me within 10days. We provided our wedding certificate, affidavit showing change of name, wedding pictures, casual pictures etc.

To cut it short my visa was approved while hers was denied. The stated reason for her denial was because she doesn't provide enough evidence to proof she's my wife. We were given room to appeal or pay £80 for Administrative review which will be addressed within the next 3 months.

My questions are:

1.) Was she denied because of omicron having provided all those supporting relationship evidences?

2.) Can she reapply for fresh visa/how soon can one reapply after denial?

3.) Is UK still given dependant Visa this period?

This is very strange and I feel our application results largely depends on the officer handling it.

When my wife applied as dependant on 8th nov this year, we initially only submitted marriage cert (with her maiden name), affidavit of change of name, passport bearing my surname, newspaper change of name. 12 working days days later, we called home office to know status, they then requested for our wedding pix (we go married may this year) and our chat history befor and after our wedding as further evidence, we sent the new request in pdf format on the 13th day, her visa was issued on the 14th day (dis we realised after collection).... ALthough I came into the uk 1st week october. I suggest you opt for administrative review and provide every means of evidence....

Am I the only one curious about December 20th review? More countries are shutting down and omicron case is getting worse in the UK.

I’m nervous about this.

And if you have visa and can afford the £2,200, pls leave as soon as you can.

Dont worry, The worst to happen on 20th is for UK to add other countries to their red list and Sustain the compulsory quarantine... They cant afford to totally shut down entry... once you come in and quarantine for 10 days and test negative, you will be more at risk when allowed to continue your journey cos the omicron had been in the uk before SA exposed it. The UK seem not to have anything to loose as far there is a sustained quarantine..... my 2quid.

24th November.... Did a paid call to ukvi to know the status of application, they gave me a link to attach my wedding pictures (we got married in May 2021) and chat coversations I and my wife had few months to our wedding and after our wedding till date as more evidence. This I sent 25th November.

Collection mail......3rd December

Passport Delivered by DHL to My wife in Asaba...8th December

Visa was issued 26th Nov as shown in vignette... I give God all the glory.

No Interview
No Non-Straight forward mail.

I was a bit worried when I didn't hear from courier neither did Tls send me tracking number after 24 business hrs of receiving collection mail. Since I reside in Asaba, l tot Edo will be the route for delivery and the IPOB 2 days (Monday/Tuesday) seat at home order in the East won't affect delivery, little did I know the route to Asaba for courier is via PH. Courier didn't contact me yesterday either, I had to assume its DHL, went to their office this morning in Asaba and pleaded with the staff to help me check after they confirmed receiveing some items from PH yesterday evening. With my house address,they were able to find my parcel. I felt relieved!!!

Thanks to all the gurus here giving a very expensive and Valuable guidiance. Na God go reward una.

P.S... Please, I beg you..... If you don't have guts to withstand PRESSURE, SLEEPLESS NIGHTS AND NIGHTMARES, pls DONT attempt 'Standard' service

Pls where do u reside that you got your passport within 24hrs..
I reside in Asaba,Delta.... got collection mail on Friday (tls Vi), but not heard from any courier yet and no tracking number as well.. Although I am trying to encourage myself that the delay is as a result of the mandatory 2 days sit at home here in the east (no thanks to IPOB) since route to Asaba from lag via courier is usually via ph.

24hrs interval, just track, once it has departed PH to Delta, give it 6hrs max and go to their office, if it is within working hrs. You may not wait for them to call you, kill the anxiety on time.
