goodmorning to all nsitf faithfuls.@ lilodez am much around only dat i have gone spiritual ,and must not relent until we get there.i have been in contact wit my source the simple truth is dat the md have collected the list, so is a matter of days and i have seen the power of our prayers this time no room 4 runs cos my friend whose father is an agm could not be help by the father he told him that the consultant was incharge and have summitted the list to nsitf so they wil cal b/f de mt runs out.pls pray.

pls house lets mind what we post, nsitf is a govt parastatal not private owned company,any call has to be open and don't forget that officers cadre cannot work alone that's why they have diff position from gm,agm to officer level all work hand in hand.On the day of inauguration i met some staff they posted from abj very few of them to come and assist pending when the new recruit we come, what they are using now is their subsidiary staff and other contract staff their own staff is very few and nsitf is very big you may see staff working there on diff platform what suppose to concern us is nsitf recruitment augest 2011 so lets stop posting what we are not sure off.some are saying hr travel led outside the country, signing letter cannot be a problem cos anybody can be authorized by the hr to do so or is the hr bigger than the chairman or the md? so lets keep hope alive and continue wit our daily struggle for He has assured us.finally on the day of inauguration, the md ,minister and the chairman said it all, lets relax and put our phone on for the our has come,pls lets not spoil this forum else some of us might be discourage from further post,pls post what concern august recruitment 2011.Have a nice day. FG begins implementation of Employee Compensation Act

The Federal Government is set for the full implementation of the Employee Compensation Act (ECA) nationwide, Minister of Labour and Productivity Chief Emeka Wogu said yesterday.

The ECA, which replaced the Workmen’s Compensation Act, is fully funded by employers to provide a partial replacement of work income during the time when a person is out of work due to various causes.

Wogu stated this during the inauguration of the board of directors of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) which will supervise the implementation of ECA and the management of the Compensation Fund established under Section 56 of the Act.

The minister said ECA 2010 has elaborate provisions for the payment of cash and non-cash compensation to all employees both in the public and private sectors who suffer from occupational diseases or sustain injuries from accidents at workplace or in the course of employment.

He said economic insecurity arises in considerable part from interruptions to income from work caused by unemployment, retirement in old age, death of the family breadwinners, disability or other economic factors.

The minister challenged the board to ensure effective implementation and administration of the Act and as well conduct elaborate public enlightenment and sensitisation campaign of all employers and workers.

Members of the board chaired by Dr. Ngozi Olejeme are Managing Director of NSITF Umar Mohammed Munir, two representatives of Nigeria Employers Consultative Association and one representatives of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Others are President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Abdulwaheed Omar, Deputy President of NLC Comrade Joe Ajaero, Mr. Ibrahim Wakawa, Dr Godson Dinneya, Mr Weight Obua and the Permanent Secretary Minister of Labour Engineer Anthony Ozodinobi.
