gurus plz i need the meanin of these codes pulled out today for my 98 maxima and how they can be solved.
P0161 sensor heater circuit bank 2 sensor
P0443 evapourative emission systen purge control valve
P1165 swirl control valve control vacuum check switch

where is it located

please i need info about a gearbox that brings out from the dipstick opening and also i notice gear slippage ( takes time to engage and disengages at will) My mech says its the filter blocked wit dirt, another said the fibre is burnt. Plz advice and share ur experience on this kind of problem

please help. My 98 maxima has been parked for 1 month. Drove it yesterday and found the gear box malfunctioning, when on first gear, u will notice the gear disengaging like on neutral and engaging back with a jerk and i have to depress the throttle too. I change the ATF yesterday and didnt notice it again till i was on a hill perhaps the oil pump not getting enough ATF. I called a mech, he said i should get a new gear box. I dont think so but what can i do?

i have noticed that my maxima v6 consumes so much fuel and it emits peppery smoke though not black and doesnt mis-fires, engines runs smoothly. my mech suggests brain box is faulty. any suggestions plz

My toyota camry 1996 model is misbehaving in recent times. excess fuel consumption, peppery smoke from exhaust, misfires during take off, ignition sound on swift acceleration & finally, it does break & quench and very lazy wen on reverse. I dont leave in lag and mechanics here in warri are not to efficient. So plz advice me on what to do one step at a time. Thanks.

@onwan, I'm about buying the aforementioned car, the engine vibrates like the timing chain is loose, and the engine service light is on. I really wanna seek advice before buying. @gurus in the house: A friend needs help. His toyota Camry 94 model (Orobo) brings out peppery smoke which i believe is a result of high fuel consumption. He said it doesn't misfires or jerks. When I told him of my case, he became vigilant and noticed he uses his full tank in 5 days over short distances covered. What do u think could be the cause?

Thanks to u all. After serving the jerking stopped but the fuel consumption was still there. I found out that one of the pipes connecting from the tank to the engine was bad, guess that where all my suffering came from. I changed it and now i have good/minimal fuel consumption. Once again, thanks y'all.

@onwan: I sincerely don't know which is the air flow meter plug, but I ran two test. I detached the plug on the idle speed control very close to the battery there was no difference, and the one on the air filter casing, still no diff. If its the latter then its the air flow meter. I'm not used to this engine parts unlike benz and Bmw.
@seal: does not smoke, at start up, it starts normally, after a while, it drops. Shakes like a scared dog wen gear is engaged. Jerks mostly on first gear smoothly or swiftly accelerated.

ok thanks man, i will first get the nozzles checked out. i will also checked the plugs, cuz it shakes on idle running,

@onwan: same old story. It now jerk during swift acceleration after changing the air filter. it drags when the ac is on.

@onwan: thanks man, I don't live in lag, and there are no rewire as it is called in lag here in delta. I will get it done 2moro. I have cleaned the air filter after purchase. It was very dirty, I had to reduce the idle speed after then. I guess I will check the nozzles too, cuz I don tire for the car oh,

Plz help, my toyota Camry 95 model, (a new buy) consumes fuel more than any car i have driven and jerks at initial acceleration. I was adviced by a technician that the airflow meter is bad. Could it be that there are other causes? Plz help me out guys,
