Great work |
abouzaid:The plan is not readily available, as it is in Akure where the project is. I will send it to u by email once I have it. As for I was able to beat the cost, I guess that has to do with the builder of the house (mason), who is a very honest man. He is like the supervisor of the house. Also, I send money to him through my mum, who ensures only items needed are bought. My mum, of course, can't cheat me. ![]() |

abouzaid:The house isn't big. According to the drawing, it was meant to occupy 220 square meters. 9" block were used for the foundation and 6" for the house. I hope I've answered you. |
i intend to complete the project with 2.6 million naira, that is plastering, tiling, toiletries, wiring , etc. Like i said, everything here will be basic. |
flobo:the project is not finished yet. The pictures here represent the stage the project is. due to paucity of funds, work has been suspended on site. We will continue when funds are available |
I'm encouraged to post this on nairaland because this site has been of tremendous assistance to me regarding my building project. Kudos to the gurus on this forum like spyder880, hajji mufutau, fastshipping, kolashangeone, brabus, aventures, etc. This project is a 2 bedroom flat located in Akure. The project took just exactly 3 months to get to where it is. The cost so far is about 1.6 million, excluding the cost of land. I embarked on it to secure the land, given the notorierity of land scams in akure and omo onile wahala. The entire land is about 650m2 and the 2 bedroom covered about 220m2. Pls note that the project was just basic, that is, no German flooring and roofing was Ghana zinc. I couldn't give stage by stage pics because I was not around to supervise the project myself. I only got an experienced, elderly and well known mason to execute the drawing, under the supervision of my mum, who isn't technologically inclined. I negotiated with the mason for all the construction work at a lump sum. I took the pictures when I went for inspection. Here's a rough estimate of the cost so far; 2000 blocks @ 130 - 260,000 110 bags of cement @ 2000 - 220,000 Mason (total cost) - 260,000 Setting out / digging /blinding - 35,000 Soakaway digging - 25,000 Laterite for filling - 15,000 Sand - 48,000 Granite ( lintel/ flooring, etc) - 55,000 Lintel ( iron, wood, etc) - 70,000 Wood (roofing) - 190,000 Roofing sheet@ 14k (9 bundles) - 126,000 Roofing accessories (nails, etc) - 25,000 Roofing labour - 60,000 Burglary - 100,000 Doors - 100,000

The rate at which monies are being trafficked of late is alarming. If not anything, it clearly shows looters are afraid. This anti - corruption campaign seem on course and Baba is working afterall |

This huge appointment at a time the economy is struggling and Nigerians are yearning for a reduction in size of governance? We are watching |

Things have got so bad that we now have people who don't respect the law. If a search warrant was duly presented, the the ex NSA is guilty of obstructing the law. However, I hope the DSS is not on a witch-hunt. Recovering 12 exotic cars with 5 as bullet proof isn't enough to try him for treasonable felony. We are watching |
For this man to make this statement, it clearly shows nothing will change. 6000 appointments at a time the economy is grappling to be stable? What now happens to the clamour for reduction on the size of governance? We are watching |

Mr President, that's what happens when you entrust your security in the hands of the Police and Military, who don't have the professional competence to handle same. This can never happen with the DSS in charge. Take it or leave it, DSS is better placed, professionally competent and statutorily empowered for VIP jobs. I never heard of this embarrassment when DSS was in charge of the villa. I hope we won't al say sorry when something worse happens next time. BTW, I'm second to comment. It really doesn't have any meaning does it? |

This report was obtained from a very credible source. The claims and information about the personalities mentioned are true and can be as well be verified. It will be on record that someone blew the lid before it eventually happens. The people who gave the information don't want their names mentioned because they are close to the personalities involved. Nigerians deserve to know when sinister moves are been hatched. Please give me the credit when it eventually tunes out to be true. |
There are indications that some of the ambassadors recalled by the government of Muhammadu Buhari are lobbying to remain at post. Some of these ambassadors include Prof. Ade Adefuye(USA ), Prof. Joy Ogwu (Permanent Mission, Newyork) and Ojo Madueke (Canada). Joy Ogwu, who is a card - carrying PDP member and a known ally of former President Goodluck Jonathan, is trying to beat the recall by claiming not to be a political ambassador. Ojo Madueke, a formal PDP National Secretary and also former foreign minister is reported to be using some of his associates within the foreign ministry to get an extension. Prof Adefuye, on his part, is said to be banking on the influence of some APC stalwarts to beat his recall. It is worthy to note that Adefuye, who was a lecturer at the university of Lagos, got his first political ambassadorial posting in 1987 and has remained with the ministry of foreign affairs on several postings since then. He was posted to the USA in 2009 and is still lobbying to remain there. In fact, his wife has boasted as follows " the person to take over from my husband is not yet born. This nonsense recall will be retracted as usual, the same way that Buhari retracts everything he says." Adefuye, in his desperate bid to remain as Nigerian ambassador to the USA, is said to be working closely with former Ekiti Governor, Kayode Fayemi, whom he believed has some influence in the new administration and may likely emerge as foreign minister in the Buhari Government. Adefuye is reputed to be very ruthless and corrupt with the mission's finances. He is said to have engaged several domestic aides, whose bills amounting to hundred thousands of dollars, are paid to him from the embassy funds. He is also reputed to be a frequent traveller on the bills of the embassy. Adefuye reportedly flies 1st class ticket to Nigeria almost on monthly basis. Apart from this, he said to have disregard for administrative procedures. Prof. Adefuye is said to be lobbying to ensure that he remains ambassador when President Buhari will visit USA on 19th July, 2015. This bid is to ensure that the Prof, who is reputed to be very fetish, is given the opportunity to meet with the President and possibly try to influence him. Source. |
