Saudis pushed forward but repelled once again.

Jarus:Broda Jarus. They're hungry. Make them bite you? ![]() |
mansakhalifa:I felt bad for the Saudi players back then. But they were graceful in defeat. Make I go dig out my VHS tape of that match joo. ![]() |
EMIOMOADEOYE:Croatian are beasts. But I'm going with Naija 2-1 Croats. Hope and a prayer. ![]() |
Russkis celebrating 3rd goal.

Russians almost scored again. Good defense by Saudis.

Saudis pushed forward but Russkis took it back.

Russian player celebrating 2nd goal with Russian fans.

Russians celebrating 2nd goal.
|
Russia score.
|
Almost half-time.
|
sweetyme001:Take your ignorant religious bigotry bullshit somewhere else! |
ikorodureporta:Yeah, who was that first guy singing? It'd have been better if they showed more traditional Russian music too so we could appreciate their culture. Or did they? Missed most of it while battling with my entertainment center when I accidentally cut off the audio. |
BrutusOj:They have a lot of Brown and Black people there. Did you ever see the old king Fahd's cousins? Russkis celebrating their first goal below.

It appears this thread previously made front page but the subsequent one then made front page when it was created. And it's been pushed to front page again today. I'm cool with the original joo. ![]() I was so stoked for the Naija match I went to sleep thinking it was today. But settling in now to watch Saudis on a giant screen. Enjoyment. . I picked the local Spanish channel over Fiox English channel cos it's so much more fun with the Latinos, mehn! . Is it sunset in Russia yet? Cos I know Saudis must fast no matter what. God help them. I can't imagine playing footie for 90 minutes on an empty stomach. See ya all on the Saudi-Russki thread! And Russki bears score!
|
comshots:So you think it's okay to kill a human being because you hate their tribe? What if you were killed in cold blood? Is it okay to let the murderer go free because you're in the wrong tribe or group? |
anuoluwapo884:Everything is not settled, brah. There is never a statute of limitations on murder. |
So he's comparing SAI Buhari to a donkey? BTW, didn't FFK change his name to Femi Olu-Kayode? |
ShedrachU:I didn't dream this but I also feel that it will be Nigeria 2-1Croatia. Lagbara Olorun. Amin! |
Kyllahmc:You're very young, no doubt. Probably not even 25 years old. My Word! What a thing to say! The man looks somehow because of the grey hair and and dark attire on top dark skin. Nothing wrong with him. Black people need bright colored clothing. |
maasoap:True talk, my brother. ![]() The first two weeks are fun times! After that it's depression and frustration and jumping from one team to another surviving team. |
olasaad:Brighter blue would have been better. Aren't Senegalese the Mallams that wear that beautiful shade of blue we love so much? Love them. They're humble people. Hope they go far. I'll be rooting for them and Super ![]() P.S. Naija clinched the best dressed honors with the super cool hats. ![]()

All dudes! |
Tonason:Where's the snapshot? This is the 2nd time I've heard of this? It is serious if true. |
luminouz:Please sir, who's the "NL geh"? Pretty please! Just the first and last initials and in what section she sojourns. ![]() |
Lollipop247:Ditto. This one is just an attention seeker. She looks nothing like Toyin the dress shop owner in Dallas. |
Aderewah:Egypt over Portugal any day! |
I knew before I opened the thread it was a white guy. The company you keep. ![]() |
buhariguy:Honestly I think Igbo people have a legitimate grievance. They are somewhat marginalised in Nigeria and have been for some time. I know a lot of people disagree but that is what I see. The longer it is ignored the more radicalized the people become. I've said it here on Nairaland for years. Ultimately the Biafran supporters may relent as quickly as Nigeria starts addressing their grievances and making them feel included. What I object to is tribal and religious hate on any group, and anarchists inflaming an already heated nation. Whether done by Igbos against Muslims and Northerners or Yoruba against Igbos. BlakKluKluxKlan:I don't want him sacked. It's Vanguard the entity that's the problem, not one man actualizing their ideology. He's only doing his job. ItsMeAboki:I read his full apology. While words are cheap and the real show of remorse is in repentance and atonement, I do think he is sincere. Let's forgive and forget. It's gonna be Eid in a few hours! Simbrixton:We have to forgive others so we can also be forgiven. |
buhariguy:Cool beans, bro! A sibling married a nice Lagosian Igbo a decade ago and they're going strong with 2 lovely happy and well mannered children! ![]() I tend to go hard on NL Yorubas who attack Igbo people, not because of my in-law and nephews but because I vividly remember while growing up in Lagos Mainland how wonderful our Igbo neighbors, the Igbo teachers and especially my fellow Igbo students in my secondary school were. I know Naija has changed a lot. |
buhariguy:Actually you insulted Igbos too. ![]() I didnt notice that with my first response. |
SirToby: deji17:Thanks for the above. I'm not easily offended by mere words. I couldn't care less about his comments about Yoruba or Igbo musicians. I saw some of that here on Nairaland and I had no problem with it. If one group is getting all the awards it's only honest and sincere to point it out whether in a sarcastic, joking or serious manner. For example, I was not offended by Roseanne's comments and didn't think her show should have been cancelled. She is a comedian and they have a very hard edge and troubled mind. That's why they're funny. ABC networks fired a comedian for an offhand comment despite their network promoting filth and indecency with perennial shows like Bachelor and many offensive programming. Hypocrisy! I had no problem with Trump's sh!thole comment because I know people get very candid when negotiating or discussing serious issues. Furthermore, Trump has always been caustic and is known for "cussing" language. Naijas are not fragile people who crumble like origami when someone talks trash at us. We say worse about our country! So, my problem is not with any ONE comment of Mr. Nnanna specifically and I have no interest in him being sacked. My issue is with the escalating threat of violence in Nigeria which is stoked by some people and organisations like Vanguard (with him at the helm) which are really propaganda machines masquerading as news journals. It has been going on for years under many guises and I believe it is intended to lead to armed conflict between the tribes. You can see evidence of it here on Nairaland. My criticism is for those whose aim it is to demonize any group of Nigerians, whether their target is Fulani herdsmen, Muslims, Lagosians or Igbo traders and settlers. |
