A Full Generation gone as Three members of the same family who were found dead in a home in south suburban Darien over the weekend have been identified as a 7-year-old girl and her Nigerian parents.

Police responded just before 1 a.m. Sunday to a report of shots fired in a home in the 7500-block of Farmingdale Drive. Officers discovered three people dead inside.

They were identified to the DuPage County Coroner's Office as 7-year-old Olivia Esho and 33-year-old Bourk Esho, who both lived in Darien, and 42-year-old Olasunkanmi Esho, who lived in Chicago, officials said Monday.

The coroner's office said they all died of gunshot wounds. After the shooting, Darien police said there was no threat to the community.

Police are conducting death investigations. The coroner's office and the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office are assisting.

According to unofficial results, Tofa got a total of 5,952,087 (41.64%) of votes nationwide while Abiola, running on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), scored 8,341,309 (58.36%).

The total vote cast was 14,293,396. Abiola won 19 of the 30 states and in the FCT, leaving Tofa with 11 states.

No one says he can't live wherever he wants. Living in a country and choosing to represent it are two very different things. Athletes live anywhere in the world and still represent a country they hardly visit. For decades there've been Nigerians who don't live or have nuclear family back home who take it as pride to rep the country.

I don't have a problem with him choosing England. It's obvious he feels no affinity for his absentee father nor his drunkard mother, but simply chose where he's been the longest and is employed. The big problem is that the NFF concentrated solely on the Super Eagles in 2017.

The main Super Falcons team did not play a single match or hold a single training session after winning the Nations Cup in December 2016. They did not even have a coach for many months. The Flying Eagles and Golden Eaglets did not qualify for any of the junior world championships in 2017.

The NFF President said that he wanted to build the Super Eagles brand before turning his attention to the other teams and that comment showed that there's a serious problem in the NFF. The women's football department should have had the freedom to get sponsors for the women's teams, organise friendlies and training sessions for the teams, etc., while other departments are concentrating on the Super Eagles, etc.

The Super Falcons were supposed to take part in an international tournament last month, but they had to pull out of the tournament because the NFF did not make the appropriate travel arrangements on time. Smh.

Participating in elections now is an issue. Kwara did better than Lagos. Lagos has the population but when it comes to election day, it fizzles out. Even for recent governorship elections, check out the numbers. There's a lot of noise made but you don't see them on election day.

Maybe due to a lot of out-of-towners voting in their own states. Or not being able to vote at all. Does Nigeria have absentee balloting?
