Why can't Osinbajo and Wike decamp and contest through another party if they think they think they are popular? I will forever appreciate Peter Obi for having the courage of giving Nigerians a good option for 2023 general election. If not for that singular faith of his, millions of Nigerians would have been chosen to abstain from the presidential election.

Obi transformed a moribund Labour Party and makes it a national party within three months. How I wish he had decamped since 2021.

With Osinbajo and Obi in the race, it would have been an intellectual contest with Peter Obi. It would have been a contest different from balablu bulava. The era of incompetent contesting through a popular party is soon fading away.

If not, North would retain presidency for another eight years upon which another Northerner may still contest and use the same method to win. And history will continue to repeat itself. Are Southerners second class citizens?

Currently, Atiku is the most popular politician in the North while Obi is the most popular politician in the South. 2023 presidential election is clearly between the duo so it will be in the interest of Southern Nigeria for Ahmed Tinubu to step down and endorse his fellow Southerner in person of Peter Obi for the sake of Southern unity.

Tinubu cost the South presidency in 2015 when he teamed up against a Southerner for Buhari to emerge. History must not repeat itself. Not only Fulanis are politically smart.
