Music/RadioBreaking News: Jay-z Leaves Def Jam! by IShine(op): 1:40pm On Dec 25, 2007

Eedris Abdulkareem apologised to 50 Cent not quite long ago by dedicating a rap song to him titled “Welcome to Africa” and not only that he dedicated a song to him he also said *I love you 50 cent*, who in rap world does that after a beef? I guess Eedris will be the first person and I see that has kissing 50 Cent’s ass for endorsement or something close to that.

Back to the discussion at hand Jay-Z the president of Def Jam Records call it a day on the 24th of December when he issued a statement saying that he will be resigning from his position as the president of Def Jam Records come 2008.

“I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have served as President of such a culturally-defining label as Def Jam over the last three years,” Jay-Z said in a statement. “During that time, I’ve had the pleasure of working with many of the world’s most dynamic artists and many of the most dedicated and talented executives in the music business today, including Antonio “L.A.” Reid. But now it’s time for me to take on new challenges.” Jay-Z is also pleased that he was given the opportunity to build upon the Def Jam legacy and that his position has helped him to move Def Jam into a new epoch of artistic success.

Even though the Island Def Jam Music Group Chairman Antonio “L.A.” Reid, regrets Jay-Z’s decisions he was understandable enough to know that Jay-Z has to move on and he also said the company has benefited greatly from Jay-Z's leadership has the president of Def Jam Records and wished him success in his future endeavors.

According to an article on allhiphop.com Nolan Strong stated that “Jay-Z will continue running and recording for his Roc-A-Fella imprint, which is distributed by the Island Def Jam Music Group. And that the mogul is rumored to be making a transition to the urban division of Sony Records with Rick Rubin”.

Now to my question of the day: what is next to happen before the year runs out?

It's hiphop luv y'all
That's all I have got man

1.

hiphop luv is all I have got to offer/
reaching hands of help out so that lost souls won't suffer/
More than just an ill emcee, consider me A double H Ambassador/nigga am a meadow/
I've been tagged number 1 so the rest can follow me with ease like a shadow/
Hardcore hip-hop is my hustle, only real mcees can weather the storm/
Undiluted love that's why I reflect the culture, scribbling wisdom that inform/
My word standard is self-evident that I never utter irrelevance/
Well-designed sentences shatter entrances to the gates of intelligence/
Rend limbs my sublime lines can define bacon rind/
These divine rhymes of mine perplexed even Einstein's mind/
Inviting all hip-hop artists to aim for higher lyrical targets/
Like Plato my knowledge enlightens weak souls trapped in a grotto of darkness/
Subliminal message that signal my love for the culture/
They say hip-hop is dead now I am feeding on it like a vulture/
Hip-hop education so pay attention to my syllables that is billable/
No gimmick my words connect as if I am connected to my mic with a coaxial cable/
Y'all can stand as if y'all don't understand what hip-hop stand for/
I am a living proof that hip-hop is knowledge
'Cos I extract wisdom from it like Black Panthers at war/
Establishing my noise in their eardrums now they're on a sound hunt/
Word purifier, I am purifying notes just to touch/
Learning so much from hiphop now my mind is at peace/
I was told in order to defeat I've got to teach/
Now am blending the essence of fury with classified elements/
Pledging allegiance to hiphop within my musical chemistry/
The knowledge is absolute, better start studying it/
Understand it, and start utilizing it/
Hiphop is the bread of life and I survive off it/
Still got left leftovers to feed hiphop nation can't believe they rushing it/
Hiphop got me cloaked up in the scheme of deep thinking/
Supreme evil plots each time ink is dripping/
I was seeking wisdom now hiphop is my dwelling chamber/
Protecting the art y'all can call me an hiphop soldier/

2.

Under my umbrella I shield hip hop from rain drops now we’re a crew/
But like my rap name when I-Shine, no doubt hip hop will shine too/
But growing up hip hop didn’t mean anything/
I though hip hop was just music with no linguistic string/
Now it’s all meaningful it's even educative/
Its love surpassing anything beyond human imagination man that’s what I perceive/
No wonder I keep raising the bars each time I drop 16/
Incredible usage of syllabus, my mind is so advanced like an electrostatic machine/
You thought me a lot that’s why I wrote this 32 bars for ya/
Elevated my mind to another level that’s why I am rappin’ for ya/
And it’s been a long time coming but we’re finally here/
And even though we stand along man we stand together without fear/
Shed tears couple of times when rappers blood get spilled/
But we still here all because of hip hop love, we stay sealed/
Some even take your love for granted saying garbage on instrumental/
Why aren’t they using their mental/
Thanks to you bling rap is fading away/
Real rap has come to stay/
Path the way for our unborn children, so that they can relate/
To create an environment with an equality state/
Hip hop love painting picture, so that the blind can find sight/
Influencing many lives that’s why you’re at the climax height/
You were born out of anger, yet you showing love/
The oldest in the game yet you ain’t showing of/
While some are appreciating what you’ve done for the world/
Other are busy sketching out how to terminate you with a sword/
But you are here to stay like an American immigrant/
Your presence will be felt like a pharaoh ant/
I will be forever grateful for you genuine love that I enjoy/
Stay true to you like a delivery boy/
Hip hop luv that’s what I am offering/
Breaking shackles of these niggaz neck so they won’t keep suffering/

It's copyrighted oooooooooo no copy my ish

My lyrical achievement is comparable to Al Gore the prominent environmental activist/
Disseminating greater knowledge about dope MCs lyrical inclination, call me a nihilist/
Apex categorically, tell these eccentric MCs they will never walk a mile in my shoe/
Cyanide poisoning, it’s like I’m methylene blue/
Deep into my wicked minds, I have been referred to as a psychopath
Wanted to be mentally ill, so I scribble ill lines like ancient Egyptians/
Synthesized on a template of complementary mummy DNA call me god Anubis transcription/
At birth my delivery was complicated, not like your normal emblematical delivery/
Highlighting my mental pictures through perfidy/
Word psychoanalysis, unbeatable illustration oomph/
None of these wannabe’s personality resembles mine, I flow like a melting Gold that is been purify/
‘Cos my flows complexity makes wack MCs leans/
And I can flow like the biological fluid from your artery through veins/
The supernatural rap beast, I still devour weak souls/
At birth I wasn’t crying like every other human being/
Dr.Adelakun handed me mic after several hours and I started singing/
Top notch’s threatening my downfall for what I be writing hurriedly/
While others battle one another, I remain in front of my PC battling syllables wryly/
Forever shinning like the gem stone, so respect shine’s presence like Aurelian/
Its shine, I subjugated this level, I beg flip the sheet to next echelon/

Keep deceiving yourselves, and not until they are able to sell a million in the US which is virtually impossible, the only way out is if they make a music like African Queen that went all the way around the globe.

I stand here in this dungeon lurkin', locked away in my tomb
Just waitin' for my next victim to walk this way to their doom
Torn from my peaceful slumber, mind, body, and soul desecrated
Dizzyin' thoughts leavin' me feelin' like my whole heads sedated
Hearin' a thunderous voice in my head, tellin' me he's the king of evil
I know that his influence of power will surely bring this land's upheaval
Knowin perfectly we'll ill be his pawn, just a tool of destruction
But me, i'm just an empty shell, ready to be full of corruption
Called by the cravings within, path of blood taken, let the paving begin
I'm ravin' with sin, it's as if each memory of hate is saved in my skin
In darkness i loom ready to strike out and claim your flesh to consume
Presumed to be cursed, i wait for the day my corpse is exhumed
But much to my delight, it looks like my prey has fallen in sight
It's a delicious young sprite, who is now hunched over in fright
I can see his little green eyes full of dread knowin' that soon he will be dead
But before i can tear him to shreds, suddenly an arrow streaks past my head
The antagonists clad in green clothin', complete with sword and shield
He has a bow and who knows what other gadgets this hero does wield
Now it seems things have gotten more interesting, my last task has been replaced
The enemy fires off another inflamed shot as it almost scotches the mask off my face
He unsheathed his sword and with a yell he took out the first small horde
The victims roared out that they could please be saved by our dark lord
While in the clashes confusion i wanted to try to make the final conclusion
Only managed to bash a contusion while his blade slashed in intrusion
With flesh and skin ripped open i can feel my life essence leavin'
I fall to the ground before my opponent, for that i am left grievin'
Able to speak like a human again i ask the name of this fighter in his prime
He looks down at me and softly replies my name is MOMENT~hero of time~

Respect 1

I'm the one they call God,and my lines are feared,
Cause truth will be told and its shit u don't wanna hear.
Now let make make this clear, I'm a well known prophet,
Tired of these remarks, your all soon to be targets.
They tapped my mind into mental slavery,
But I broke laws real to escape with my sanity.
Speakin' in calamity, and niggaz still don't listen,
Blind eyes turn wide when they finally see my mission.
Havin' visions of Zion and the garden of eden,
Ethiopian rebels have become the last real humans.
I feel like Abel and Cain, Eve and Adam,
They all fear God that's why they can't reach them.
And the bold truth, is that God was a schizo,
Adam was his physical and Eve was his threshold.
But I ma stop rockin' out on the visions I've seen,
Of the world being tarnished, Kings killing Queens.
We've become beasts in denial of our true potential,
Every second of your life is not coincidental.
You plan and create it with every step and breath,
Until everyday is nothing but a practice conquest.
If life was chess, and you announced me in check,
I'd flip over the board and put 2 in your head.
I'm a Godly mess, divine wine for ancient times,
We livin' in the past, so f*ck it i commit crimes.
I ma get mines, cos Zion is heaven and heaven is so far,
So I reside in hell with the devil at the bar.
Gettin' my drink on to drown away all the pain,
Cos I found the tree of life and carved in my name.
Shine, etched in bark deep beneath your intellect,
Think of that the next time and don't ever forget me.

Respect!
