There were many wonderful players in ACN2008

I personally vote for Mohamed Zidan
He is just amazing smiley
and since he plays in Europe, he wasn't well known publicly in Egypt till recently

Hi davidif smiley
Thank you for your positive analysis of the Egyptian national team.
I have to tell you the truth, that this particular team is different than what we are used to.
They are playing as a team, not as individual players.
and the coach, Hassan Shehata, did a great job

On a side note, people here are even more happy than when we won CAN2006 in Cairo. Thousands were celebrating in Cairo streets last night. It was so noisy and loud till early hours in the morning grin

Politics / A World With No Internet ?! by Isis1(f): 6:09am On Feb 04, 2008
Hi everyone!
This is not a completely imaginary question!

Today is the first day we have bearable internet connection in Egypt.
Since Wednesday morning, there are some kind of damage in the two main internet undersea telecom cables connecting Egypt, and other countries, to Europe
Internet service were restored first to main sectors such as stock market, banks, call-centers and other e-business companies before it was returned to individual subscribers (and it is still slow connection)
This has affected all the countries using these cables , including India which lost about 60% of its internet capabilities as well
On Friday, a third undersea telecom cable was damaged off the shore of Dubai.
And on Sunday a fourth cable was cut in Qatar.
more about this in these links:
http://africa.reuters.com/wire/news/usnL02365487.html
http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5i03tUdyj8wf2Xa9P4trWEjqAJdyQ

now the questions I am wondering about:
first, what do you think the effects of having no internet connections , both on the personal and general levels?
and second, don't you think it is a bit strange to have four undersea cables damaged in just few days, so far no one knows what did cause this?

p.s. I am not sure if this is the most appropriate section to post this, please forgive me if this was not the right section

Just back after the internet cut in Egypt since Wednesday morning cry
It returned since yesterday but browsing was painfully slow angry
today it is better, but it is said that it would take at least 10 more days to be back to normal undecided
Imagine having no internet service for 5 days sad

Family / Re: Money Or Children Which One First? by Isis1(f): 6:19am On Jan 28, 2008
your nickname suggests you might have already made the choice to have children Abu-Maryam smiley

I think the parents are responsible to make sure that they have enough to provide for their children, before they bring the children to the world

on the other hand, it also depends, and strengthening your economy is a relative term, so if a couple is in their mid-late thirties for example, then it would be very unwise of them to say they need to be millionaires before they start their family.

I wonder about something:
If cooking was mainly a women's thing and men shouldn't do it, then how come that most professional chefs all over the world are men?!

Thank you Dale1 for your reply
I was starting to feel not very welcomed in here
nice to meet you
I want to know more about Nigeria for a number of reasons
amongst which that I am interested in the diversities of cultures in Nigeria
another thing that Nigeria and Egypt are the most two populous countries in Africa, i think it is sad that most in both countries don't know much about each other
also I have recently started listening to Nigerian music which I do like
