Dglory:For the numerical section, there was an on screen calculator. |
tommy589:Yes, your second link for instance satisfy the context of his post/reply in this thread. My own quest na to get full gist cos he has repeated that phrase alot; I feel there is something more to learn. |
tommy589:Yes. I have already read through the two link you posted but can't really infer much. The wiki link only highlighted the delegate abi na those who represented various region in the meeting. Then the second link is a reported opinion about secession from azikiwe. Then, if you have been following ibeokehie for a while, I don't think you would be able to infer anything from the two link based on how he has mentioned the Lancaster House conference stuff in various context. |
IbeOkehie:Sir, please do you have any resources/pointer to the above. Your continuous repetition of it has made me curious to want to read about it. What I got from Google search is not yielding much; just some few paragraphs in Wikipedia and some site; nothing detailed. |
SlyCharlie:I dey your scenario right now. I am just looking at it since. Waiting for "successfully uploaded" button but nothing yet. Modified: it had just showed "Test submitted successfully ". |
ruqqayah:Sorry for your experience; let's hope there is a re-schedule. Did you try the practice-test as suggested from their mail? If yes, was it successful? If you tried and it wasn't successful, that might have been the point to escalate the issue. |
Hello, Please after paying for passport renewal online, how long do I have to schedule a biometric? That is, I want to know the grace period I have to schedule a biometric before the application is canceled/void. Thanks in anticipation of a response. |
MrJaay:Congratulations Sir |
airsaylongcome:Okay Sir! Thanks. Would check them out. Yes, Odoo came to mind but I am looking at it as an overkill as that one na enterprise level. Also, I thought about that expiry date stuff though the client never mentioned it, na me dey reason say, e suppose dey taken care of. Really appreciate! 🙏 |
Greetings Sir airsaylongcome Please I just want to know if you can help recommend a simple open source wey I fit use run for person pharmacy. Like the types use in some of this super market/retail store. It will have room for stock with price and one can print whenever sale is made. |
tensazangetsu20: ![]() Oga tensa, you don move from giving tech advice to dating advice? ![]() No be small things ooo. Your recent posts just dey make me burst into laughter. |
GloriousGbola: ![]() Whitewash kuma? Just because I said a view of how I learnt the group came about? Their origin and their operation/activities are two different things. I only gave a view of how I learnt they came about. On their operation/activities, everyone condemn their acts including the northern clerics, if not on tv, at least I can testify for local masjid. My issue with the north on the issue is that instead of continuing waiting for FG/SG to do something about it, why not tackle it yourself. Please do dig up whatever you want to dig; no knowledge is wasted. I only shared a view. If you tell me, it is wrong, I will say okay cos no be debate I dey do. |
GloriousGbola:This is not my point of quoting you. I only quoted and bolded the part my response was targeted to, which is you saying the well to do northerners goes for the alternative of western education. P.S: You can do a random sampling among the well to do in the north and get response which should form the basis of your opinion. |
GloriousGbola:And please what is the alternatives to the western education Sir? Skills? Are they not also western. Please this your opinion does not hold (presently), maybe it hold before. You might have been in the north for a while or so. But northerners especially the well to do patronize western education. Around me na northerners and I know how much stride they have made without making noise. if they no send western education, I no go see those wey benefit from western scholarship or uk technation or those who went to canada via the express entry and skill route or middle class sponsoring their kid to uk. You might say it is not the ultimate achievement to them which I will agree. Abeg some of the opinion we hold about the north no too hold abeg. P.S: The thing is this: the 'boko haram' stuff wasn't about the context of the 'boko' rather the initial agitation their late leader had was on the means through which the learning was taking place. Everybody knows that Islam frown on free mixing between both sex. Their late leader was advised by clerics that his intended violence approach was not it rather, other ways of achieving the same boko should be initiated which was why the clamour for islamic university started springing up so that, there will be segregation between both sex. The killing of their late leader made the movement to be something else which is part of why I think they still fault the govt as they believe na the govt made am reach like this. |
Karleb:I even thought whether I mistakenly unfollowed Oga. I had to recheck, till I see his last seen and I chill. |
iamoyindamola:Okay. Thanks very much. |
seankafor:Tried this also and got 6510; thanks. larride:Please do you use VPN to access the gleam or how do you access it? Mine always stop at verifying robot stuff and I don free am. |
GloriousGbola:Not just the female killing, there are other examples, some of which also existed in Africa like inheritance and some form of mourning. iamoyindamola:Islam does not start and end in those region you mentioned. They are not the role model to look at when it comes to Islamic stuff, the role model are the predecessor when it comes to Islamic stuff. GloriousGbola:The punishment you cited for adultery in hell is not as it is. From the link you posted, there is an explanation to the answer you asked. No be me give the answer/explanation. The simple thing is this; Islam has it own ways/rulings, some go sweet while some no go sweet. Now, you as an adherent of Islam, it is either you are in or not. It is not befitting that you are in and you are complaining about why things are the way it is. |
GloriousGbola:Haba Sir. The father/imams are only reminding/telling her about a possibility. If husband and wife practice Islam, they would both be aware of the possibility without even needing reminding. Though, in a situation where a union from day one is with the promise that no extra wife would come, then it remain binding on the husband to uphold the promise. Islam does not treat women badly but a devout muslim was ready to divorce his wife and sieze the children (I am not sure this is even legal in shariah) and he was obviously backed by multiple imamsSharia court would have been in a better situation to judge. I know custody belongs to the mother pending when she remarries and all but they would both provide claim for custody and the court would decide. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. You can quote different hadiths about how Islam gives women rights or you can ask us about what we see with our own eyes.It is why I say reality might be different but it doesn't change how Islam gave them rights. No doubt, there are some who still try to uphold the female right even if they might be few. The Koko is; let's not attribute the reality to Islam when it is not. |
iamoyindamola:Okay Sir. But if you mean the actual Islamic take on women is your point of question, then it's like, you mean they were to be asked when the rules were made, which one sweet you and which one no sweet you make we adjust? |
iamoyindamola:Morning Sir. This first bolded is not true ooo. Perhaps you should read/remember the state of women during the Jahiliyah period and see how Islam gave them honour. Haba! I don't think any honour can supercede that one gaskiya. The thing is, you can't ascribe how pple treat female to be Islam. That, some pple are treating female oppresingly doesn't mean na so Islam specify. Islam is not about majority, it already have it own take even if na few pple or none dey do am. The below was my reply to someone mentioning Islam to be by the men, of the men for the men: If indeed it is, the religion would not have given men much responsibilities/task. Because, in an ideal settings, irrespective of the woman status, her care/security/all is the responsibility of the man. Building of the society is also the responsibility of the men. It is the same that endanger themselves to certain risk. That some people are treating female bad shouldn't be ascribe to Islam abeg, rather we should attribute it to the person's shortcomings even if the person might want to hide under the name of Islam cos most pple always look for cover in their misdoings. |
iamoyindamola:Sir, we don pass some of this question already ai. Islam no promote beating women, he erred in that. Now, to settle the matter, madam con lie. And I con say Islam give room for that. I doubt if Sharia court would punish her cos na her word suppose be the basis of the case. The question should be, would Sharia court admit evidence from SM? The evidence you might be pointing to from SM might not hold cos Sharia court would need somebody to testify seeing the beating happen. Or one would need to prove to the Sharia court that the video in circulation is actually as a result of husband beating when she is saying otherwise. |
GloriousGbola:Sir, you have digressed too far from the main discussion. So, I hold my peace. At least, some stuff are clearer; I did read through the link you posted. ![]() |
GloriousGbola:Nobody is arguing whether lying/giving false oath is bad. We all know the gravity of it. What I am saying is that there are places where it is allowed to achieve a greater good based on scholars analogy. We can read the Quran/Hadith page by page and get some literal meaning but that doesn't negate the facts that there are pple who devoted their time to learn the contextual meaning of the text and are able to draw analogy; these are the pple who would be better grounded than us with a surface meaning. At least, I know there is Ijma and there is Qiyas. Literally, eating dead meat is Haram but you would agree that one is allowed to eat it in case of necessity and the necessity has been defined. Here, lying/slander/false oath is Haram but exception has been made if it involve reconciliation. We don't make the rule but the rule has been made with where there are exception. |
GloriousGbola: ![]() I would like to have this discussion with sheikh one day. |
GloriousGbola:Make I just borrow Sheik talk kawai, "we know what we are doing". First bolded: This your example no follow as they did f*CK up in stealing funds and Islam has a rule on that. Second bolded: they are also called out for their lies perhaps you might not be aware. Pantami was called out for his double standard during GEJ and Buhari regime. |
GloriousGbola:No doubt cherry picking/hypocrisy dey but it doesn't change wetin dey inside the book. The book already told us that some pple cherry pick and it warns against it. Theflint1: Was already reconciled? They might have decided to reconcile but the court was formalizing everything. My replying to was based on his question asking if giving false oath is allowed? |
GloriousGbola:This one na simple thing ai. I know there is something called 'lesser of two evils'. If the lie will yield some greater good, then it is permissible There is an authentic Hadith about lying to reconcile parties in conflict/dispute. It was narrated that Abu’l-Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Shall I not tell you something that is better than the status of (voluntary) fasting, prayer and charity?” They said: “Yes.” He said: “Reconciling in a case of discord, for the evil of discord is the shaver.” Al-Tirmidhi said: It was narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “It is the shaver, and I do not say that it shaves hair, but that it shaves (i.e., destroys) religious commitment.” Narrated by Abu Dawood, 4273; al-Tirmidhi, 2433. classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi. It was narrated from Umm Kalthoom bint ‘Uqbah ibn Abi Mu’eet that she heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “He is not a liar who seeks to reconcile between people and says good things.” Narrated by al-Bukhari, 2490 In al-Saheehayn from the hadeeth of Umm Kalthoom bint ‘Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “He is not a liar who reconciles between people, conveying good messages and saying good things.” Narrated by al-Bukhari, 2546; Muslim, 2605 Perhaps from the above Hadith is why the scholars have the below inference: As for swearing false oaths in order to reconcile between people, it seems that this is permissible. P.S: While Islam might have given out all rules, it also give room for where exception are allowed. Like the polygamy for instance, we will all agree that the same Islam says if u no capable then it is not for you. But the thing is, do we go by our individual definition of 'capable' or how Islam defined 'capable'? |
folake4u:Sir Gerrard59, you finally have a student in your school of thought. |
afrodoc2:Using Set Theory, Improbable n Improbable = Impossible. Yes, but how are they improbable? Or Which is improbable? Living up to 101? Or someone age 12 becoming a father? Moreover, it can't be 10 (I don't think I mention 10) because the difference in age is 11. So, it might be 12. I guess we have seen Japanese people lived close to that age. Even in Nigeria, there exist those who lived till those age brackets, perhaps their numbers have reduced but it doesn't invalidate their existence. Again, raised a point that our assumption of numbers might be with the Gregorian and not the hijrah own. OasisX:Would do so In Sha Allahu. Bombblacks:Omo! These ones much oooo. 1. Once in the paradise, no more aging. 2. No supermarket. Whoever is in would eat/take whatever he/she yearn, baby or adult. As sheikh said, some stuff in that realm are not in the material sense of things 3. There is a place for them separate in the paradise as they would be with their type; same category of people. 4. The context on which I am answering allow maximum of 4 except maybe you mean those whose maybe wife died and they bring in another , so in their lifetime they ended with 5 or 6. They go dey one cos na family e be.5. Those in paradise can even each other, family or no family, as long as they are both in paradise. But person from paradise no fit visit person for hell. |
cos he has repeated that phrase alot; I feel there is something more to learn.
