GloriousGbola: In spite of my issues with Aisha, for the time and place the man was progressive
It was simply a fact of life at the time.
And Old school Arabs were far more fked than these red pill wan kers
They were literally burying baby girls alive.
That was one of the first things that was put a stop to Oga , it seems you skipped the question she asked. pocohantas, to your question: After she employed him, due to his honesty, she seek for his hand in marriage and they married. They were together without additional wife. It was after her death that he married more wives. Even after her death, He still mention her generosity to the present wives and maintain ties with her friends. |

So, literally, no one with a solely Nigerian nationality can pursue postgraduate studies in the US at the moment? The US study thread no dey very busy like before again oo. Early this year abi na late last year, there was discussion around non issuance and some folks receiving mail from their schools regarding not helping with visa. |

awesomeJ: Lots of time I see a dumbness in some people's reasoning:
You're 30, someone else is 50 and they show you their portfolio worth N2bn you feel intimated.
That's dumb.
Such comparison is apples to oranges.
You compare your portfolio at 30 to their own portfolio when they were 30 or you compare their current portfolio to what yours will be at 50 (adjusting for inflation in either case)
You've been in the market 5 years and you expect to match someone whose been there for 20 years. To what end??
Even if you're 50 and only have N10m, how about people who are 50 and can't even afford rent? How about your own good health.
If you don't learn to appreciate your own good things but instead fixate on others' achievements, you'll just keep robbing yourself of real joy which you could have enjoyed life with.
At the end of the day? Money is just some instance of an integer class in some database that allows addition and subtraction operators. Don't overrate it. It has its relevance, but also has its limits in significance. The bolded got me laughing. Instance of a class (Integer) ; so, money is an object. With the bolded, I know you have knowledge of OOP. |

iamoyindamola: I think you are taking it too deep culture is the way we live and evolve, how we dress, our name, how we communicate and pray are all under culture Let’s make it easier, you need an identity to be recognized that identity is your culture If you see a white man you can’t say if he’s a Muslim or not, but the first thing you are seeing is a white man That’s his cultural race, tribe etc it’s when you go further you get his name that’s another culture, his dressing another culture before you think of his religion you must have identified him Another example, my name is sodeeq you can’t just conclude I am a Muslim, the name is an Arabic word and not all Arabs are Muslim I hope this change your mind tribe comes first before religion, I would have used Stone Age man as another example I understand your point. Like we were in our various ethnicity/tribe before religion reach our side. The discussion don too plenty for the thread sef; not what i expected but person don learn some things sha. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by islamics(m): 9:55pm On Jan 30, 2025 |
iamoyindamola: Lol Religion was extracted from culture Culture is the way of live, your belief is also part of your culture So why will you want to carry a sub of culture ahead of culture Sir, I think there is a mixup in understanding. If you say Religion was extracted from culture, which culture is it? At least, we know Islam as a religion came and abolish some culture of the Jahiliyyah period. For instance, we hear abi na read say some culture allow a man to sleep with a woman so as to test her fertility about child birth before marriage but you would agree with me that Islam no support that. Culture is the way we live; confirm. But Islam also came with the way we live ai. Belief can be refered to as Aqeedah and belief is not culture. For instance, your belief in the article of faith na part of Aqeedah or your belief about life after death or barzakh are all part of Aqeedah. Culture na action while belief are thought. |

iamoyindamola: Awon werey eda Na by force to bring sharia, we are Yoruba before becoming muslim Oga Sir. I beg to disagree with the bolded. I might be wrong but we are muslim first before tribe or nation or any basis of division. It is islamic decrees we consider first before culture. We practice culture as long as it has no conflict with islamic decree. |

Please can you recommend a path for a beginner who want to dive into HR and hopes to work remotely? Like, is there any certification that the person should aim for that would increase his chance globally while applying for remote role. For a start, the person already applied for financial aid for some coursera courses. |

Sirchiboy: I recently relocated to a village with no light and found out people charge their phone everyday. I intend to setup this business and please can 500k start it with solar Your best bet is to analyze what you need. Some of what you need: 1. Battery (which gulp the major part of the money cos na him dey expensive pass) 2. Solar panel (the ratings you go for would depend on how you plan to run the business in terms of timing. Like, you would be using the ba3 to charge phones pending when the sun peak cos you are assured that your panel will charge your ba3 faster in shorter time) 3. Inverter (a 1kva inverter should suffice for a start) 4. Since your budget is lean, you might not be going for inverter with embedded charge controller, so you need charge controller 5. Wires and socket outlet. You can check out the nairaland solar thread, there are lots of expert who will explain things required to the basic for you. |
