Progression is when your u17 lads from just 2 years ago are playing starting roles for their senior team and clubs today.

Osimhen and Chukwueze are products of a successful system.

You guys should beware.

I wouldn't want Chuks following Iheanacho's current career trajectory.

He was pocketed today because he is a very predictable player and apparently hasn't learned anything from his Algeria match at AFCON. Please tone down on the hype. The guy is average at best for now. All this hype should instead be heaped on Ndidi; the only sunshine I see in the dark clouds that is the current SE squad.

If Chuks like, let him allow village people destroy his career like they are doing to KC now. He better settle down and buckle up.

I remain the ever realistic darkelf.

NB: Insults will be ignored. If you can't argue intelligently, just go ahead and waste your smelling saliva.

Though you're not wrong, this is unnecessary. There are lines you don't cross with people, especially total strangers. That way he commented may just be how their friendship works. Not cool to many, but hey *shrugs*. And she's a lady, that blind eye may just be metele.

If you're going to screen posts, start from the person dropping awfully sexist, demeaning remarks. Or even better ignore all of them entirely.

Afonja now.

People think IPOB is one small organization run by touts. This organization has prominent lawyers and law enforcement people across America, Australia, Canada, Asia and Europe. Before they do anything, they discuss it, make inquiries if it's against the law, get permission from the highest body, and then go to work fearlessly and confidently. And they have a powerful structure in place to effectively run a country.
This is one very very strong point people outside IPOB do not know. People think we just conduct ourselves anyhow like ragamuffins. IPOB is very very very structured and organized, unlike anything across the length and breadth of this godforsaken country. But idiots just like to talk rubbish to console themselves that all is well. Nonentities.

Well, the AFCON has not produced exactly what I was expecting prior the tournament. The play has been slightly better overall but that's just about it. I expected better attacking play especially from the bigger boys but it's not turned out so. The numbers are still the same.

Nevertheless, I remain hopeful. I think that improvement I can see on the horizon will come in the near future, three to four years down the line, with continuous work at the age grade level producing young footballers with a future in the game. Also, maybe soonest Africa begins to adopt the youth development system which is yet missing.

In this near future, with increasing number of talents coming through, most of the current coaches will no longer be good enough for the squads at their disposal. They will gradually be fazed out naturally and only the ones who are worth their onion will survive.

A quick recommendation for the African football administrators around the Continent. They have to start looking at investing in coaching too. The expatriates won't always be available and some are not even good enough. Those who are good enough and are available, might not take up the offer of coaching an African team for several reasons. This problem can be nipped in the bud early enough by aggressively investing in coaching. Invest in the retired professionals and interested young individuals.
In this modern times, teams should not be struggling to string passes across the width of the pitch. That is something we shouldn't see anymore from any serious footballing nation in Africa. It's terrible.
