MartinCorridon:

All these "records" mean zilch.
At age 20, it's doubtful she can make any concrete contributions to the parliament.
25 years old, few years after first degree, maybe, but still not advisable.
30 - 40 years old is what i believe is the appropriate age for a youthful representative... tertiary education completed + some life experiences + young age (fresh perspectives)
PS : I can see my post is hard for some to understand. I'm still in support for youth but with some conditions.
If you still don't understand, use Google Translate into your local language OR read about Valentine Strasser, a 21 year old who became Head of State in Sierra Leone.
NOTE : my posts require a minimum level of intelligence. Please don't feel bad if you don't understand them, just accept the limitations of your IQ Is it your parliament... |

Give us a realistic figure and stand by it, the masses will back you up Why this painment... This country has been thorn to pieces by policies of the druglord..the naira has no value..that is a well known fact... #250000 is not realistic in your view..the billions spent by the executive and legislature is realistic... By the way it's called a negotiation. The govt added #2000 to the previous offer that grounded this country for 48 hours. Are they looking serious in your view.. |

Politics › Re: Cows Are Not Citizens Of Nigeria - Akpabio Slams Senator Aliero (Video) by iswallker(m): 5:28pm On Jun 06, 2024 |
franchasofficia: Tell them cow brothers.
Foolish barbaric people that love cow more than their fellow human beings
First time this Bola Tinubu's Senate President is impressing me
The constitution said every Nigerian citizen is free to move, live in any part of Nigeria, that's absolutely true, but cows are not Nigerian citizens. They are like every other animal in Nigeria that Nigerians rear in the confines of their homes and farms. Fulani must follow same business pattern.
Fulani herdsmen are free to live in any part of Nigeria and do their business but they should rent or buy or lease lands from the locals wherever they go to and build a ranch to carry out their cow rearing private business just like Pig farmers, poultry farmers, Goat, snail, fish farmers, etc farmers do. Nothing makes them special.
Buy or lease land, fence it and rear your cow in peace.
They should modernize the cow rearing business, start buying feeds and rations for their cows and add the cost to their cow when selling and anybody that can't afford beef should look for alternative meat and protein source.
Once Fulani herdsmen start ranching their cows, it will lead to birth of new businesses in Nigeria. I personally will start the production of cow feed and ration just as we are doing with poultry feeds and even Dangote their brother can start a mega production factory that produces cow feeds and this will lead to creation of more jobs for Nigerians and reduced farmer herder clashes that have killed our farming sector.
Senate must pass this bill and Tinubu must sign it into law. Next is to sign State Police into law to help States enforce this "ban on open grazing", anybody you sight rearing cow openly, shoot at sight immediately, don't ask questions. You should have watched the video till the end.. Akpabio took his words back - he said cows can be moved because they are property... He also requested the mover of the bill to step it down... |

madridguy: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu MUST ensure that never again under him will our National Grid be shut down! Shutting down National Grid is nobody's fundamental right! It is TREASON- Copied.
If Labour union and TUC want let them strike for 100 years, it is their right, but we that are not under the payroll of the FG should not be paying for their madness.
Now who will compensate people selling frozen food? Will Discos remove the 48 hours still counting from the bill they will issue to customers on postpaid meters? Take it easy. Don't run mad on Nigeria matter. This is a country where so many things are wrong. The postpaid bill they will bring for you is it right? If you are not under payroll of fg someone you know or related to is..if they are not - the multiplier effect of more liquidity in the system will help your business Stop spewing hatred.. |

The NLC have no business to drag Nigerians who are not civil servants into more hardship by shutting national grid, there are many Nigerians that their business survive by power supply not even when there is hike of fuel price
You're protesting for the increase of your wages, yet I must suffer for that when I won't benefit anything from the wages? Average Nigerians who aren't in civil service are just a pawn in the hands of FG and NLC If more money in the system means your business will enjoy higher patronage - how did you not benefit... Or you work on nairalamd..? |

Those of us in the private sector, and those who have no sector are suffering the hardship brought by the strike. Ones labour get what they want they'll move on. Nobody without a sector except you are dead...even unemployed is a category... How many days if strike has brought hardship to you that you were not experiencing before.... |

FreeStuffsNG: I completely agree with you especially if it's folks you just listed above who says "you don't need a university education ", my reality is that PM Sunak stands the risk of misleading the young ones since he is not competent to recommend skipping university education, he was privileged with having a Physician father and Pharmacist mother who sent him to the best schools! If he had ignored those privileges to boycott university education and become successful in life, he could have been morally upright to recommend such. How does morality come into someone giving a free opinion based on his experience of life... By the way university education is for people who can pay tuition or earn a scholarship in the western world not all comers affair... |

World leaders should encourage university education and not publicly discourage it. In my opinion, I think this is an irresponsible statement from the PM. A level 8 probably a graduate earns 140k in Lagos and you are proud to say that.. He can't afford to rent a room with that - probably living in a shared room or with family... Why should the attached below items be costing N500 in some Southern region areas.
Before talking about herdsmen activities in the north, are the Southern people so that lazy to produce their own foods?
And before talking about the increase in fuel price, what % of increase in fuel price compared to the ridiculous % increase in prices of foods items we don't import? You are to blame if not govt.... Policies of govt affect every item block head.. |
