another thought. you want to stop prosti.tution. why dont you get jobs for the girls so they can do something with their lives. most are there for the money. some are lazy but still most i repeat are there the money. get them well paying jobs and it will reduce. |
of course you cant legalize armed robbery, etc. those are different crimes. Prosti.tution is known as a victimless crime. Do you see the difference? Armed robbery as you mentioned is not the same. We should stop pretending to ourselves - bla bla bla its bad, we are holy, dont do it. shhh. its completely nonsense. We should start seeing with our eyes and not our ears. Prostution will be there if legalized or not, next year , 10 years, 100 years. why are we being naive. People saying its bad, probably have gone there once in their life. hypocrisy. |
Legalize the damn thing. Nigerians should stop grow up and drop their "holier than thou attitude". Prostitution is everywhere. Even in the west that we try to copy, so why are we being so naive. people harping on HIV - and so? HIV is not transferred because of LovePeddlers, its transferred because people go to the LovePeddlers. You dont like LovePeddlers, stay away. You patronise them, your business. It isnt even a big deal. Dont know why this is an issue |
@ e-engineer i agree with you, especially about we Africans trooping abroad to get "greener pastures". Yes Nigeria is rife with problems, but i have been indifferent countries and Nigerians or Africans are not ding so well there. most are discriminated at, and just survive day in day out, supporting the system. Never will be anything better, than just a second class citizen. Its really a pity. My post is of despair because i have spent the last two months researching for solutions. The more i look into the deeper the well. Another fundamental problem i should add is the black man. Its too long to post here, but seriously we have issues with mentality and our approach to life. |
@logic1 thanks, i will take time to read through the thread. @cap28 i am also amazed by the shortsightedness of many of oue people. You ty and explain to them, but some people just cant see past the ends of their noses. Well as they say, if someone is not intelligent , you cant eally force him to. |

Very sorry! wanted to post in politics. if it can be removed, mod please do it. I already posted same article in politics section. so sorry again! |
The OP went shopping in the pigsty and is shocked his purchase turned out dirty! You think club girls are interested in you because you are handsome?! The kind of Nigerian girls you're looking for rarely ever go to clubs, especially not by themselves. Any Naija man from a good background/home will know that you don't go to certain places to find girlfriends! The girls I hang-out with when I go home are either friends of friends or friends of my cousins. They are usually from good homes and lack nothing. When I go out and pay, it's by choice. They would NEVER demand anything from me. You're looking for girls in the wrong places bros! Don't come here crying when those girls end up milking you dry!@moremi2008 Shopping? Purchase? I want to meet people, interesting people, not goods . And if I talked to only my cousins, that will be a very small circle. And another thing, I never said I met them in a bar or a club. . I would have expected a forum specific guy like you to discuss more important topics that has to do with the nations security but of all topics to choose is that of a guy's encounter with little girls who frequent Ozone. Is this topic not too timid for your distinguished self. please lets hear word abeg.@fickle Then read this other LONG posts of mine ![]() https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-771336.0.html#msg9244397 https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-771340.0.html#msg9244415 It seems most people here are like trying to say the Poster deserved what he's got. Some are criticising him for coming out to express his experience and opinion about Nigerian women which we all know that is true. Some says he looked for women at the wrong places etc, The fact that our society doesn't approve or respect the idea of meeting women in clubs or bars doesn't mean you can't meet a good one there, it might only take the Poster a very long time to meet the kind of woman he is looking for in Naija club or bars. It's every parent dream that their daughter should gain admission into a Uni to have a qualification and if she is lucky enough, she might end up meeting her life partner before her graduation, but Nigerian Universities nowadays are worse than a night club and bars, they are as good as a brothel.@waladis RESPECT +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ |
You see everyone makes a big deal of Nollywood, you see celebrity pages in newspapers, people aspiring to get into the film business one day, but to me, everything about Nigeria’s film industry reminds me of jeans brought from a Chinese wholesaler – large quantities, entirely useless. I will start with the actors and actresses. First, can someone please explain to me what all the noise is about our actors (from now when I say actors I mean actors and actresses)? Most of them can’t even act. They go on set, play a role, and are so totally unconvincing that I wonder how could anyone pay for this? You see people crying, without any emotion on them, you see men angry and you immediately know someone told him to pretend, you see lovers and you don’t even feel they love. Again I will say, watch foreign movies, there’s a reason George Clooney, Angelina Jolie are called actors. I know we haven’t reached their stage, but I expected by now, with all the experience we have making films for us to have gotten better. Personally there are only 1 person who acts well, that is Jim Iyke. I have watched his films, and you can easily see he behaves almost like someone in real life. To some extent osofia, aki n pawpaw not that bad. All the others – including desmond, omotola, rita, mercy, don’t know one girl again always fighting n quarrelling in her roles, a bit big, popular, all in my opinion rubbish. I see through them so easily. Don’t follow the hype on genieve and desmond, instead sit back in your chair a little and look at them. Will someone in real life behave like that? Look at the eyes, facial and body language, you will see most don’t even get a C in acting. We are been served substandard displays and we should stop drooling on their performances. We should criticize so they can get better. Bottom line actors should be able to pretend and make you feel in the moment with them. Most don’t. Nigerian films in general. What can I say – OH MY GOD!!! I mean just too many things, with the useless and repetitive themes, poor picture quality, doors unlocked (haha so funny, in Nigeria, doors unlocked?, that’s a no-brainer), improper settings, fake helicopters, fake car crashes, doctors office with table, chair and 2 books, police men, common, we are in the 21st century. Ah, I am tired. Most annoying thing is the time spent on scenes. Shows lack of creativity. I mean, most I watch how someone makes isi ewu from start to finish? There is a food channel for that. One film on African magic started, I saw the picture quality, I nearly cried for Nigeria. Your nokia 4 yrs ago can make a better film. How could anyone produce such nonsense and still have the audacity to publish it? Bottom line – I think we should set up a quality and control division to properly scrutinize Nigerian films. Currently I can’t show Nigerian films to some of my friends abroad. They will just laugh and confirm their hidden thoughts on Africa. On the repetitive themes, I know we have great minds, I only wonder; maybe the film industry isn’t lucrative enough? We really need an overhaul, it is long overdue. |
This is probably going to be a long article because I have so many thoughts in my head. You know I see people struggling to make a difference in Nigeria, but the truth is for what purpose, do you really think Nigeria can get better? First thing is first, our leaders. No need to harp on it, we have bad leaders. Some good people came up/ come up/ are coming up yet nothing seems to change. Either they get to power and break their promises/ are forced by other elites to do their biddings or get killed. People usually think it’s easy to govern the reality is that it isn’t. Everyone has their own opinions, so here are mine, and they are based on research, Q & A sessions, professors, and my understanding. Nigerians struggle and in every little way try to make the country better but do you really know the enormity of the problem we are facing. We are not just talking about corrupt leaders, we are also talking about the western civilizations. Do you know it’s a policy of civilized countries in Europe and America that Africa should not develop? Do you know they have developing their societies on the sweat and hard work of us developing nations? The economic theory of comparative advantage is faulty and favours the developed countries. Yet we operate on its rules, to the detriment of our economy. Do you know that the globalization effect, the migrant nature of our best minds, is still a form of slavery? Just one without chains, yet we work and slave in their countries and get very little in return? Do you actually think that if we get a good leader in Aso Rock, and he is willing to change Nigeria stop corruption, utilize our resources and not hand them over, do you know the next thing is the western countries will think of a way to remove him? You might be surprised but most coup d’états were instigated by the west so they could continue rollicking in our national resources. They need officials who are “yes men”, who will take the bribes and continue to do as they please. If one doesn’t, next thing is to eliminate him. I am not a rumor-monger who just criticizes but ever read story on Venezuela 1988, they had the president assassinated because he had the audacity to try and reform his country. Or more recently Iraq? We please still await the WMD. So you see it’s not that easy, we are already caught in a vicious cycle. we import everything from rice to dustpans, we don’t produce anything, we only export oil, most of the money earned siphoned to bank accounts abroad and not even been used to develop or country. Transport system is poor, education system is substandard, basic food we rely on imports; very very bad, legal arm corrupt (though getting better), power irregular, no water. Try to fix oil refineries, those who sell petrol sabotage it. Try to fix farms, those who import food sabotage it. try to fix power, those who import diesel sabotage it. Not writing against them, in a way I understand it’s business, though shouldn’t be taken that far. they did help Nigeria as government had failed in these sectors. Anyway, if they don’t sabotage it the west will. Because if Nigeria should get better and care for its citizens, who will work for them in Macdonald’s, or clean their toilets? For every rich guy there, he needs lots of workers. If they let us develop, they will not be as affluent. No one should talk about one scheme that they did to helped Nigeria, because that was just politics. And another foolish thing, why did OBJ pay them money we owed. In the first place the borrowed money never got to us, it was just stolen. Second, where in the world do you hear of a country paying back its debt in cash? How could OBJ just give away out foreign reserve? He should have told them to invest in Nigeria. America owes china trillions, how come they are not paying? Oh and by the way privatization in theory is a good concept, but in practice has to be regulated. And the consolidation of the banks was just legal stealing. Everywhere in the world there are small banks. Consolidating just made people jobless and let the big boys make extra money. So if you can see our problems are many. This is not time to be religious and say God will help Nigeria, on religion I will write later. People are the cause of our problems not God. I now see the enormity of our problems. I just feel sad because it doesn’t look like it will be resolved in my time. Just too much to do and the west doesn’t even want us to do it. For the hopeful, kudos, just don’t forget it’s also a trick in politics, tell the poor man he will be rich one day, he will believe and hope, just he doesn’t know that day is after his death. |

@ italkalot, your essay are on point on mostly naija babes, esp lagos babes even abuja babes are worse. It is just unfortunate dat u based your experiences on naija babes on 2 immatured girls, statiscally dat is low,and because of your essay d guys are bashing us all,it is said in yoruba land dat u can't throw away the bath water togeda wt the baby, Just continue your search for a good woman and remember don't lean on your own understanding trust in God or if u r muslim Allah, it is said he who finds a wife find a good tin.@taio luv I know long essay based on few girls. But my friends seem to say its general. I also wish everyone his or her own ordained partner @ yusu_@ Thnks bro! @swift sms Thanks for your well thought reply. I will mix around more, hopefully see the full range ![]() @ horny4u Yes. I went to watch movie alone. I didn’t add this to my already long post. First time she as late. I got there, and called she was still at home at the time we agreed. So you see in my mind she is not d keep to time type.@ hackney You say it’s a game. To me it looks like glorified prostitution. What’s d difference in guys that just pick girls. I personally like fun-people. Guys or gals. I want to go out to enjoy myself. If that’s all she wants, I might as well not go out and just pick any gal. @Op, the criteria for wooing a Nigerian babe or even fluking around with them you'll need to be fantastic with the following:@ pinkrex I swear u made me laugh with ur comment ![]() my brother, maybe because you don't want to see "classy ones"@ nayah I really do. Remember class is not money. Some poor people have class far more than rich ones who misbehave @ OP@ brainpulse I see your point. But believe me, I don’t flex. Just normal guy, ok flex a little , but if you go out, don’t you want to have a good time? ![]() u attract what u desire.am sure u went for lil girls who got no jobs.what'd u expect from such girls?dont blame them cos u shud look before plucking@o.obim Well won’t argue, I don’t even know the difference between a working girl an not. I can tell who is probably a market girl/agbero/ who is in a government jeep/escalade, but apart from that everyone looks normal. I see 2 guys in a shop dressed in suit n tie, one jumps on okada, d other gets in a car. See? no, I don't think so, are you not aware that nigerian men are PERFECT.@ bhusayo No Nigerian men are not perfect; it should be interesting to read out faults too. But please just another thread @ poster@femferan I don’t lie. I do like going out. I am not d boring guy who just sits at home, I mix with people. Outside of Nigeria I have friends from South America to Vietnam, so it’s my nature. Story on the girls was just about the girls, I didn’t add to the post eating suya in allen, waterside Ikoyi, beach with my friends, just what happened with the girls. @op, to some average nigerian girls, you fit the frame of a 'nice' guy. Picture that. Maybe, you a bit unlucky with the ones you attract here. Unless you go about with a large banner on your forehead that you just came back or there is a logo inscribed somewhere on your shirt, you should know the way some of these girls behave. This is 'normal' to a guy on the street. The advise l could give you has been proferred by @hackney, wherever she turns, she is gored.@ joudini Me nice guy? Maybe. Mugu, impossible ![]() Nigerian girls take their traditional roles seriously and their men should do so too. They are slowly teaching you how to be the head of the household when you finally put her for house, both of you come back from work and as head of the household you go sit down for parlor with cool breeze and finish off the newspaper while she dey slave over the gas cooker and when it is your turn to dami siwa ju so that you can tele tutu you start to complain. A beg find something else to talk about.@gabbytabby I tell you, I WILL spoil my wife. But I want to know at least she’s there because she enjoys being with me not just money . . . you know what? I believe it would be better if you guys just consolidate all your grievances into a single thread where you can verbally chastise the type of women that born you into this world without clogging up the whole board with these repetitive complaints . . . after all the subject of Nigerian women is a hot topic around this forum. If you like, such a thread could even be permanently pegged on the top of the board like the complaints section only this time the subject would be appropriately named "The irredeemable Nigerian Woman: Chapter 1"@emofine I like your humor on this my “not so nice” post @temiade You are bold, also nice to hear a female with a different view. @ dabrake Not bashing gals. Just telling my experiences @OP,@ maasoap At first I was like wtf? But I also read your post to the end and in many ways you have good points. D gal really disappointed me first time, I was there and she was at home time we agreed. Second time, I warned her in advance, I am not proud of it, but I am not the best behaved guy in the world. Once I got there she wasn’t picking I was like damn it, not standing two hrs again. Maybe there was a better way around it, but I guess I didn’t reason too much. As for her asking for refund, I stand my ground, common, how can she ask for it? We r not dating, I didn’t invite her, I said lets meet up, company? Watch a movie? And even if we were dating, I def wouldn’t stick with a gal who asks for a refund. Now the one who buys me a beer, I’ll say – woah, that’s different, what’s special bout her? @ carlinks “givers never lack but she likes receiving” – Oscar comment! @ fickle Haba, why is there so much venom in your post? You say you are a mother, so you should be more compromising. Strange and contrary to your opinion, I actually garnered that most Nigerian women don’t agree with my opinions. Now I will pretend you didn’t call me a dunce, or cant wash pots but can wash gutters, tsk tsk, because this isn’t a thread to insult but to discuss. However what I said is, from my experiences, the ones I met abroad were not as demanding. Simple. OP! Very Nice articulated write up! Kudos!@ Mikael I liked your post the way u took me apart stage by stage ![]() 1. She is not a student, and I have concluded that all girls in ozone are student, in fact unilag students :d 2. She is not my girlfriend, repeated many times, just lets chill together, been going out with guys too 3. I never told anyone who met me I am from abroad. Though my friends do says it shows. Read the above 3 points carefully and you will see your post is absolutely baseless. |
@ tellwisdom Hehe - you understood me. Love as in appreciate and respect them. They have good points too. |
@ tpia Yh, i know long post ![]() Thats why i got name: italkalot ![]() |
@cuddlemii I like your post on generality. You are right i shouldnt generalise as my post topic suggested. I said that as majority, in my case all the girls i've met behave like that. I INSIST and i am positive there are good girls, but it seems the in thing and mentality of nigerian girls is centered around money. Yes there are girls abroad like that, but not to these extreme levels i see hear. Everyone knows nigerian guys are aggresive and loud - generalisation, maybe on the same note nigerian girls are materialistic. I love nigerian girls for so many reasons, i just wish this little yet important thing wasnt there.d - generalisation, maybe on the same note nigerian girls are materialistic. I love nigerian girls for so many reasons, i just wish this little yet important thing wasnt there. |
ronkebp:Exact kind of thing i am talking about. Offpoint and missing wat i am saying. I didnt say i am rich, or that the girls are too expensive, in fact i think the girls' requests werent too much compared to other requests i ve heard off. My point was simply why these FEW girls i met were just askin n askin. Isnt there something more fruitful u look in a guy or girl apart from her body? Like character, if u both get along or r u searchin for just a guy/gal who will buy that EXPENSIVE brand of water u drink? NO relationship survives without money, but which do u think is more important? |
@rokiatu, just read d last 2 paragraphs. and i def didnt get d wifey part, is that supposed to be funny? or wat? |
