WELCOME TO NIGERIA: *Where sex is free and love is costly. *where loosing a phone is more painful than loosing a virginity. *where getting a galaxy phone is greater than achieving a degree. *where yahoo boys have brighter future than graduates. *where temples are turned into dating point. *where worshiping God in truth and spirit is difficult. *where ladies fear pregnancy than HIV. *where people fear robbers and Boko haram than God. *where people go to church with BB chargers rather than Bible. *where guys are.... Of getting married but love to have sex. *where we have the highest number of musician due to unemployment. *where the number of churches and mosque are more than the worshipers. *where we say up NEPA more than we say praise the LORD. WHAT A COUNTRY! Good aftermoon.

PoliticsRe: Akwa Ibom Community Protests 10 Years Of Darkness by Itoro350(m): 7:09pm On Aug 19, 2014

Ikot Unah community in Ukanafun Local
Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, on Tuesday
peacefully protested over 10 years of power outage
in their area.
The protesters, who were mostly youths and
students on holiday, went through some of the
major streets before heading to the village palace
where they narrated their grievances.
The village head, Chief Jimmy Umoren, told our
correspondent that for the past 10 years, the village
has not seen electricity for a minute.
“There has been no sign of electricity from either
the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria or
the new Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution, not
even for a minute.
“Our hope of getting electricity is in comatose;
there is no government officials, both from the
state and the local government council at Ukanafun
have come to our aid. In the last election, we voted
for this government massively.
“The state government said it has attained 85 per
cent electricity coverage of the state through the
Inter-ministerial Direct Labour Projects while
records have shown that the Ministry of Rural
Development has also electrified about 2,209
villages out of 2,671 communities in the state to
meet government target and vision of providing
uninterrupted power supply in the state.
“But the same gesture accorded in other villages in
the state has not been extended to us at Ikot Unah
of which we feel very bad.
“What we cannot tell is whether our community has
been included in the list of the area that the state
government prided itself to have provided
electricity for,” he said.
He stated that the community had also made many
representations to the state governor, Mr. Godswill
Akpabio through the office of their council
chairman in Ukanafun but to no avail.
He added that the community had also visited
management of PHED in Uyo, the officials there
promised them that they would be at the
community to check what prevented them from
getting electricity.
He noted that the PHED has been to the community
to correct the defect and that the entire community
was still in darkness.
He said, “For a country like Nigeria with a total
population of about 170 million people with huge
economic potentialities, the provision of quality and
steady power supply is still a nightmare, especially
in a small community such as ours. What a shame!”
he exclaimed.
Umoren stated that the only health centre built by
the government six years ago has not been put to
use for lack of electricity.

SportsRe: FIFA U-20 Women : Nigeria Score Fastest Goal by Itoro350(m): 3:14pm On Aug 11, 2014
Barselonia: Nigeria have taken control of Group C at the FIFA U-20
Women's World Cup Canada 2014 by defeating Korea
Republic 2-1 in Moncton. Courtney Dike scored the fastest
goal in the history of FIFA women's tournaments after she
took advantage of Korea Republic's lacklustre defending.
Dike, who was starting her first match of the tournament
after coming on as substitute in the opener against Mexico,
set the tone for the Super Falconets, who were eager to
jump to the top of Group C after England and Mexico had
shared the spoils earlier in the day in a 1-1 draw.
Nigeria continued to threaten Korea Republic's goal when
Osarenoma Igbinovia had a shot from distance tipped over
the bar by Min Yukyeong. Nigeria had another opportunity in
17th minute when Asisat Oshoala's cross found Loveth
Ayila, who was unmarked in the penalty area. However, her
shot hit a defender and spun just wide.
Korea Republic had their first chance of the first half in the
24th minute when Kim Soyi's attempted chip over Nigeria
goalkeeper Sandra Chiichii went over the bar. Soyi and her
team would regret that missed opportunity as Nigeria took a
two-goal lead ten minutes later through Chinwendu Ihezuo.
Ugo Njoku's cross from the right wing found Ihezuo, who
controlled the ball before firing a powerful shot past
Minyeong.
Nigeria picked up from where they started by controlling the
opening stages of the second half, although Korea Republic
were able to ask questions of the Super Falconets' defense
as the half progressed.
The best chance for the South Koreans came in the 59th
minute when Kim Inji received the ball and shot from the left
side of the penalty area only to watch her effort go inches
wide of the near post. Inji would have see another effort
suffer the same fate ten minutes later as the Nigerians
continued to breathe a collective sigh of relief.
A nervy conclusion was guaranteed in the 71st minute when
Nigeria failed to clear their lines effectively and Soyi
capitalised by scoring from the edge of the penalty area to
give the Koreans a lifeline. But while the Asian
champions often threatened an equaliser, Nigeria's defense
held on to claim the first win of the group in Moncton.
the time she score please
