Sir, there were no plumbing pipes coming up from the decking because this work is going to be done with external plumbing system, no internal conduit pipes. When we do external piping, we don't bury any pipes in the concrete, we work ahead and place the pipes towards the end of the project.

As for the concrete biscuits, we bake them as part of the decking cost, it does not cost extra. In Enugu where we have large lump stones, I use the stones to support the mat, instead of the concrete biscuits.

The time for the carpentar to do the platform, Iron bender coming to do his thing and the electrical amd plumber crew doing thier thing before the casting takes place. I'm prepared to pay the Nairalanders price but it will be sacrilegious if at the end the quality is the same as baba lati.

Reason why I even brought this up was my total dissatisfaction about a job I saw on here. I can't even believe that the builder would let the job be seen in daylight.

We didn't see the limitations. We invested heavily in remote management and did everything possible to eliminate point of failures.

Multichoice Nigeria is ran by Nigerians and it's about the largest cable tv market in Africa as of today.

Shoprite is managed by Nigerians (after the South Africans left almost a decade ago) and they're opening new sites every day.

Why are they not affected by Govt policies, NEPA, unfaithful employees, LASTMA, VIO, the scorching sun and what else do we blame again.

I beg to differ on the shoprite n multichoice example. These Organization promoters are people in high places /government and you cant compare the impact of government policies/agencies on this organisations viz-a-viz a start ups. How many companies that was founded in the 90s that are still existing?
The cost of doing business in Nigeria is very capital expensive and thats why some companies cut corners to be in business and if you compare this to diasporan coming home to invest wanting to do things proper it will take alot of guts to with stand what will be thrown at him.
The way I see it is that for start up one will need to start small and grow the business overtime because it might take sometime before you breakeven before the profit start rolling in.
For me am looking at pure water business, farming(fufu & garri majorly) retailing gas & Kerosene and my small crib in progress with shops in front.
I no get time for uptown market naa downtown (igboro) market be my target, you will be surprised how much this people send on commodities and also thier consumption rate is high.
