Jackie Robinson should be in this discussion

[b]Well, being as he was the first black to play in front of whites, he had to withstand an enormous amount of verbal abuse from fans and players, as well as his own teammates.  He was also the target of death threats. If Robinson would have folded under the pressure and negativity the bulldog nature of racism at that time would continued to keep black players out of sports.

Eventually someone would come along with the strength to endure it all, but it was Jackie.

His passion to play finally won, and people realized that blacks not only could play baseball, but be dominant at it.

HE himself was probably the first person to refuse to move to the back of the bus.  This one was a military bus, and it happened a decade earlier than Rosa Park's famous stance.

I'm tired of all the racial stuff going on in the US.  But people like Robinson are the kinds of black leadership that is lacking today.  Instead of the race baiting racists like Sharpton and Jackson, people like Robinson lead through example.  They lead through personal improvment of black people not through stirring of racial tentions or branding it whitey's fault.

People like Jackie are the people the black community needs today.

It took a player of exceptional talent, character, and fortitude to do what Jackie did.[/b]

Also have you been to any place thats entertaining or you just had so much fun, and you think others will too - let us know about it.

[b]I've done a decent amount of traveling but we have guys I work with that have visited or studies abroad in over 80 different countries. I think I'd struggle with just listing 80 different countries.

So my opinion here is limited to the countries that I have been to.

And my favorite is Australia. There are several reasons:

- Great weather.

- Speak English.

- Clean and safe.

- Diversity. Jungles to deserts to beautiful beaches.  

- Cool animals.

- Good people.

I was born and bred in South Florida, but Miami is not my favorite city.  I grew up a little south of Miami in the Gables (about 25 miles from the city).  

My favorite city to visit? San Francisco is great. The city is great and so many fantastic things a short drive away.  That might be it. San Diego is fun too for diffrerent reasons. I love the area around Phoenix.  

I don't ever want to live in a city. But if I had to. . .I might choose Kansas City. The housing is affordable. The people are great. It's easy to get around.   [/b]

[b]Who would you take in his prime to win a street fight for you? No weapons, of course. I think Bruce would win.

Bruce wasn't some fat martial artist. He criticized traditional martial artists and even said that they wouldn't last a round against a boxer.

I mean, how would Tyson beat Bruce? Bruce had much better stamina, speed, footwork, and power. He mastered many fighting styles.

Tyson would never get a hand on Bruce and his punches would look like Ronaldo's punches to Lee. Lee was 10 times quicker.

He could even finger jab through a full can of coke.

- Bruce was able to punch 7 times in a second

- Bruce was able to do 1 finger push ups from a standing start, as confirmed by Jon T. Benn.

- Bruce Lee's could strike a target from 3 feet away in five hundredths of a second.

- Bruce did one-hand push ups using only 2 fingers.

- Bruce was able to break a 150lb bag with a sidekick.

- Bruce would ride the equivalent of 10 miles in 45 minutes on a stationary bicycle.

- His one inch punch could send a man backwards with full force.

- He could finger jab through a full can of coke.

Finally, to top it off, Lee was recorded to have a 3% body fat. This means his body was about 97% of pure muscle!!!![/b]
