What you'll do is register for direct entry when the Jamb DE form starts selling early next year. Upload all relevant documents: WAEC result and ND statement of result.

You really won't need to do anything again until OAU starts selling their PUME form. This typically starts by July or August. So register, send your transcript to the admissions office, send your documents also to the admissions office (Jamb DE print out, WAEC result and ND statement of result).

All that's left will then be to await the admission list.

*Transcript usually will take at least a month to get to OAU if you're requesting it from your school so you have to order for it on time.
*DE candidates won't be writing any entrance exams at all.

Mass Communication is under the faculty of arts so if you'll apply for direct entry you can only get admitted into faculty of arts (as far I know).
So here are all the departments under faculty of arts in UI. You can decide on a less competitive one that you like then apply to that department.

I hope your result is Upper credit. Regardless of what department you choose, bear in mind that UI is very competitive and highly selective.

Direct Entry's minimum requirements is Upper credit. So you're good to go. But I must tell you though OAU and Unilorin are highly competitive. You can apply but chances of gaining admission is really tough. Especially for your course.

Yes I've sent my transcript. The next thing now is to wait for the admission list. I don't think there's anything left to do from our end.
Check result is for those PUME people. DE didn't write exam so which result are we checking.

University nursing is a five year course and u would be awarded a Bachelor in Nursing Science (BNSc) degree, while school of nursing is a 3 year course and u get a Registered Nurse RN/RNM kind of like a diploma. in the nursing hierarchy BNSc is higher than RN.
As for specialty after BNSc, u can go for your masters in any specialty while with RN u go for a 12-18 month post basic in any of the nursing specialty. hope this helps

Hello, I'll like to know if you uploaded your ND Statement of result at any point during your registration. The day I registered the cafe guy said they didn't ask for that.
Also the edit certificate tab on my profile keeps showing 'this feature is no longer available'.
I just want to be sure I'm not making any mistakes here.

I don't think you should bother yourself about that. You can see clearly that PUME score says 0. And that's because DE applicants don't write PUME. The system automatically generates that result for everyone who registers, whether DE or PUME candidates.
So That result is not for DE, it's for those that did PUME.
This is my personal opinion by the way.

To the Registar's office or to the Admission office, whichever one it gets to, it will surely get to the right hands (only time will differ). That's why it is better you get it to the admission office (PAR) where you need it.

Not until you told me, I didn't know we could start sending transcript. Thank you for your reply. I'm grateful. I'll order my transcript tomorrow, hopefully they send it to OAU in 2 weeks.

Because where I registered the guy said I can only upload waec result for now, that ND statement of result will be done later. I just want to be sure if this is true.
