PoliticsRe: Bishop Kukah Gives Reason For Backing Tinubu For President. by IVORY2009(m): 10:00pm On Mar 20, 2023
Fake News Alert

7upnigeria:
The Bishop of the Sokoto Catholic Diocese, Matthew Hassan-Kukah, on Sunday expressed happiness that for the first time, Nigeria was going to have a president in the shape of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is prepared for the job.

Kukah, who spoke on a Channels Television’s programme, Sunday Politics, said President Muhammadu Buhari and the duo of former presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Olusegun Obasanjo, among others became Nigerian leaders unprepared.

The cleric stressed that he opted for the former Lagos State governor because of the conviction he was prepared for the country’s highest political office.

He said: “No President or Head of State in the history of Nigeria ever came prepared for the job of the number one citizen of the country except the President-elect, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has been nursing and preparing for the task decades ago.

“You can go all the way down in Nigeria, you’re not going to find one single person who has been President or Head of State in Nigeria that came prepared for the job.”

He added that Tinubu was ready because he has been preparing himself for the top job since the 1990s.

“Atiku and Obi weren’t prepared for this job and that’s why I said we should not make the same mistakes in rushing to just get someone anyhow who is not prepared to be the president of Nigeria again.

“That’s why I opted for Asiwaju Tinubu that’s prepared for the task of the job of president of Nigeria.”

OpzyGist:
Disturbing video out of Lagos state shows a man eating the sacrificial offering meant for the gods at a polling unit in the Grace Land Estate Ajah. The calabash containing the sacrificial animal was reportedly placed there as part of an election ritual.

In the viral video, the man is seen eating the animal without any qualms while other people watch in shock and disbelief. It is not clear whether the man was part of the polling unit or if he stumbled upon the calabash by accident.

Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw, who shared the clip on her Twitter page, wrote: ...

My only fear is that Nigeria might end up ungovernable under Tinubu. The bigger picture isn't encouraging at all and it will be difficult to enforce the law on the masses who believe they never voted him.
This is the prediction by so many I have interacted with, we await the jugdment of court, this is the reason someone here in the forum said they have the surpreme court president, Justice Ariloyie, who is also Tinubus norminated man.

Manhood Yakubu has always been bias from day one, we all know this, but we kept quite, he who pays the pipper detates the turns, who knows how much "the INEC President" must have given to Prof Manhood, only time would tell, Peter Obi remains the president of the federal republic of Nigeria.

I saw the video earlier...

This is why people like Amaechi will always be on the losing side always. Such a sore loser.

Imagine blaming Tinubu's camp for what is happening in Rivers. If election is contested 2million times in River state, Wike's camp will still beat Amaechi's camp every single time.

Election is not even over, he started crying already. When Magnus Abe of SDP and Wike camp were vigorously campaigning for Tinubu during the presidential election campaign. You and your candidate were busy forming neutral, infact Amaechi aligned with the Cabal to bring Tinubu down.

No one in Tinubu's camp nominated Mahmood to Buhari. Stop dragging Tinubu inside your dirty politics. Face Wike like a man.

Coward !
Wike has no political relevance in Rivers state, take way thugs, monies, intimidation of votes, bribing of police men, soldiers, etc, Wike can not win an election that is free and fair in Rivers states.

APC ‘ll win not less than 28 states – Lawan

Senate President Lawan

By Henry Umoru

THE President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan shortly after casting his vote yesterday has expressed confidence that his party, the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC) will win not less than 28 states.

Lawan spoke while responding to questions from journalists at the Katuzu ward polling unit in Bade Local Government Area of Yobe State where he cast his vote during the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections.

In a statement yesterday by his Special Adviser, Media, Ola Awoniyi, the President of the Senate said, “We are in control of the National Assembly. We have won the Presidency. We are going to win nothing less than 28 states at the end of this election.”

The APC currently controls 21 of the 36 states and had an outright win in 12 states during the last Presidential vote.

Lawan who noted that the APC and the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari as well as the ninth National Assembly deserved some credit for the improvement witnessed in the country’s electoral process, said: “The APC and the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari deserve credit, that we have allowed the process to be entirely determined by the guidelines and regulations of INEC. That we don’t use our incumbency factor to stop other political parties or opposition from winning in areas that are strong APC enclave.

“The ninth National Assembly also deserves credit for passing a law that has made the process of our elections better.

“I think there are still rooms for improvement but kudos to the ninth National Assembly for producing an Electoral Act that is giving more roles to technology to decide and influence the outcome of our elections rather than some kind of fraud.”

Commenting on the electoral process of Saturday, Lawan said that he was “happy that the BVAS is working here. I’m yet to hear any report about the failure of the process anywhere in my Local Government so far.”
