FamilyRe: Ladies, Is It Right To Choose Friends For Your Husband? by iyaegbe(op): 3:30pm On Aug 13, 2009
Thank you all for your various contributions.

I have tried to suggest making friend with the lady in question earlier but she said she can't. That she expects her to naturally interact with her the way she interacts with her husband but she isn't doing that (I think she needs to be the one to initiate this abi?). They talk and greet only not as best friends, its not that they are strangers.

Why she is very sure there is nothing between them according to her is that her parents' inlaw told her the lady in question is a distant family (cousin's cousin, cousin kind off) when she tried to report the case to them. The lady is a about the same age with the husband's family kid sister (early twenties) who happens to be very free with all the husbands family. I told her to do what she thinks best but also be careful.

Personally I find it hard to see any problem here (I can't tell her this though).

They have a wedding program tomorrow, she's inviting me so I can see the lady in question.
FamilyLadies, Is It Right To Choose Friends For Your Husband? by iyaegbe(op): 3:15pm On Aug 11, 2009
She is my good friend, she is happily married (at least in my own thinking).

She just left my place. She said her marriage is hell that she has always been in pains for the past five years she's married. I asked her what happened because to me she's been having the fun of her life.

She said her husband is truly the kool type, easy going and relatively wealthy. Neither drink nor smoke and surely not into womanizing which is what most women want. His only problem is that he has a lady friend whom she doesn't want around him and he has refused to cut off from the lady (because they have been friends for a long time). Asked if the husband is dating the lady in question, she said no that she is at least 95% sure he is not dating her. Her words, "he is not dating her, that I am very sure of but they are talk over the phone too often. I am sure they don't meet cos my husband hardly goes out without me". Asked if her husbands loves her as a wife, she said yes very much. He gives what she asks for, all but to cut off this lady.

Her worry and cause of pain is how to make her husband to totally forget about this lady. Please what advise can I give my friend?
Nairaland GeneralThis Earth, Other Planents, Heaven Or Hell by iyaegbe(op): 5:58am On Jun 10, 2009
I think want to travel to one of these two places. People are talking of traveling out of Nigeria but it appears the outside world is more dangerous. Outside there are different types of flu, serial killers, Earthquakes, suicide bombers, financial crisis, racists and so on. Just wondering if there is anyone that has really been to other planets like jupiter, mars and or even heaven or hell (apart from what we hear or read about them) that can advise me on what to do. I think I want to relocate, who knows, the outside world might worth more than this earth.
BusinessRe: What's The Best Courier Company For Shipping Within Nigeria? by iyaegbe(f): 1:19am On Jun 09, 2009
Strange but true, EMS is the best within Nigeria when you talk about courier services. I have tried DHL, FedEx and UPS. When your shipping to big cities like Abuja, Port Harcourt the DHL and co are effective but cities like Lokoja, Benin, Auchi (from experience ooo), they are not effective.
RomanceRe: Internet/cyber Flirt by iyaegbe(op): 11:10pm On Jun 08, 2009
Thanks for all your contributions. I think I will have to stop it since the majority said it is bad. My husband is not seeing anything bad in though. He even calls on me when the guy comes online (when at home). We seat together to reply his chats atimes, its fun. Though he has forbidden me to let him see my picture of give him any number if he asks. After reading all your comments, I have decided to put a stop to it.

Once again, thanks to you all.

Is it really wrong to be flirting on the internet? I met this guy online, never seen him before (and would probably never see him). We chat on messenger everyday. My colleagues said it is bad because I am married. I don't know if the guy is married or not but I don't really see anything bad in it. help me out, is it bad?

EducationUnilorin At It Agian Oooooo by iyaegbe(op): 6:27pm On May 10, 2007
My sister received a call from one of her room mates today that all their belongings has been thrown out from the hostel. The reason according to the student affairs' messengers (Porters) is because they have moved all the departs in the mini campus to the Parmanent Site and so all students are expected to move out of the hostel.

What baffles me in this is that the school is not making provision (for hostels in the PS) for these affected students. Meanwhile they paid for a full session of two semesters. Thay have spent only one semester and their goods are being thrown out like a landlord ejecting tenants who refuse to pay their rents.

Please fellow Nairalanders, what do u think can be done about this?

Business Plan -How about starting with a business plan which should contain whatever information is needed to decide whether or not to pursue your goal.
Research/Feasibility study
-Do your research and feasibility study. Go out and visit other boutiques around, see the way they operate, the kind of customers they deal with, where they source their supplies from, etc.
Target audience- who is your target audience? Students, teenagers, workers, etc ?
Location-
where is it going to be located, bearing in mind that the more highbrow the area is, the higher you'd more likely pay as rent . Also consider power problems, security, tax and Local govt. dues etc.
Capital- what available capital do you have. What are your cost and revenue estimates, etc all these really matter a lot.
Competition- Who are your competitors. What are the things that'll make your boutique stand out from the rest, because believe me there are many of them out there.
Many other things for you to consider like finance, operations management, and marketing, among others. You need to take things one at a time.

Hope that helps, wish you all the best with your plans.

Thanks for these highlights. I have done the first two. Just settled on a location. I sure hope to beat the competitors.

globalaid, I will holla you once I am set.

Thanks all for the contributions.

InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by iyaegbe(f): 11:59pm On Mar 29, 2007
Ooooh, this is a wonderful site. Thank you for your replies. I think I would settle with Lead securities as it appears to be the one that is affordable (at least for now) though I think it will be better for me to wait till after election.

Yes, I have already bought some IPOs. I have been buying IPOs for sometime now but just for the sake of buying. I never understood what I was doing, only doing it because friends and colleagues were doing it.

Thanks, thanks and thanks

Hello all, I am new to Nairaland and to shares as well. Reading through this trend has greatly increased my interest in buying stocks. I need a broker. Please does anybody know how much it costs to get an account with BGL, Cashcraft, Zenith Securities and or Lead Securities. Which is the best and why? Thank you for your anticipated assistance.
