Bio Balance SPF 50 is pretty good, it absorbs into the skin well.

If your skin is acne prone, you should always use Acne Wash and Astringent night and day to help prevent future pimple problems. As for the spot, Black Opal's Essential Fade Complex does a pretty good job of clearing up spots (https://www.iyaoloja.com/shop/pharmacy-health-beauty/skincare/essential-fade-complex-detail) This is good for those who have really bad spots.

it'll be easier to help you if you can post a image of your problem here: https://www.iyaoloja.com/social/groups/viewdiscussion/1-what-should-i-use-for-my-skin?groupid=2
Then I will be able to give you a proper response.

Most of our customers who have intense spot problems use the Fade gel on the isolated area only.
For those who have scattered tiny spots in odd places, they use Xtreme Brite Spot Remover (https://www.iyaoloja.com/shop/pharmacy-health-beauty/skincare/acne-spots-remover-1-76oz-detail) or
A more expensive one is Clinique's Spot Remover

Hello,
I'm not fully aware of Crystal White, but in response to your original question, I would not advise you mix QEI+ with Fair and White. It would not work. The QEI+ serum is formulated to work best with its own products. I have had clients mix it with other brands and there was no difference, so do not waste your money.
Fair and White Maxi White - N1,500 is good on it's own. For the best results, use an exfoliating soap daily (Fair and White's So White Soap N1,100 is very popular or their Carrot Soap N800, and we sell Black Opal's Pre-Fade Bar N450 the most of all our soaps) or a lightening body wash (Alpen lightening goat milk wash N1,200 is good). Try the lotion first without serum, and also make use of Sunscreen every day over your body care items, apply the Sunscreen on areas exposed to the Sun to prevent further darkening. Usually, the Sun is the reason why most authentic products don't work well enough.

If you are wary of fake, you could buy from www.iyaoloja.com we do NOT sell fake. And we ship within 5 working days to PH.

FashionRe: How Good Is Fair And White " So White" Cream & "Exclusive" Soap? by Iyaoloja(f): 5:46am On Sep 29, 2013
Hello, Fair and White is NOT a bleaching skin brand. It simply helps tone the skin and give it a nice, even, bright and glowing look. For those who live in Nigeria and similar climate, you will find that the Sun naturally darkens the skin, and in some cases the skin ends up having an uneven look (famously referred to as skin patches). This is where products like Fair and White come in, they help safely even the skin color. With over 2 decades of skincare industry experience, I can assure you that the genuine Fair and White products will not harm the skin if used correctly.

As for the main question asked, with skin lightening products, what may work for your sister may not give you the same result. You may either get a favorable result or may not work at all or even find that your skin may reacts negatively to the product (very rare cases with Fair and White, QEI+, Black Opal products). When you find what gives you a favorable result stick to it. And also be patient, give it at least 1 month before making judgement on how good the product is. Also, if you can, try to take a before and after picture of yourself so as to judge the difference accurately. Make sure to use the same background and light setting when taking the pictures.
For best results, try to use some Sun screen protector (starting from SPF15) on the areas of the body that will be exposed to Sun, so as to avoid the Sun getting you darker while you work to correct the darkening problem you already have.

To purchase authentic Fair and White items supplied directly via the exclusive distributor in Nigeria, visit www.iyaoloja.com.

It is not self hate to want to get your skin to it's natural state. For those who live in England and cooler climates, you will find that a day in Nigeria's weather will immediately tan/darken you.

How bad is your acne that you need 20% salicylic acid peel?
Usually those who have pimple mountains on their face have their doctors prescribe those to them. You don't want to run the risk of over medicating yourself and end up with a worse problem.
Based on my experience 2% is good enough for most acne problems when used properly and regularly. For those with sensitive skin, Benzoyl peroxide 10% is very effective when used properly.
Using it a 3/4 step program for non sensitive skin:
with 2% Salicylic Acid -
1) Facial Wash/Cleanser, 2) Astringent or Toner, 3) Daily Acne Lotion and/or for the random larger pimple breakout problem use 4) Target Blemish Action Gel

Sensitive Skin:
10% Benzoyl Peroxide Facial Wash
2 % Salicylic Acid Astringent or Use facial toner or astringent with Witch Hazel
10% Acne Clearing Gel or lotion

Use these daily, morning and night and you should see visible results after 2 weeks. Once you have your acne under control, you can just use the facial wash and astringent + oil free facial moisturizer daily (facial lightening cream are usually oil free). For those concerned with their lightening products interfering with the skin clearing process, make sure your facial lightening product is oil free and you can make use of it at night instead of using acne facial cream instead.

And whenever you have a bad breakout, use Concentrated blemish gel or similar to clear your skin and that helps.

Salicylic Acid is most common for most brands, if you find it doesn't work for you or if your skin reacts badly to it, switch to 10% benzoyl Peroxide.

Good luck! Check out www.iyaoloja.com for items that would help with this.
FashionRe: So White by Iyaoloja(f): 2:17am On Sep 26, 2013
Hello, not knowing your daily skincare routine, it will be hard to advise you. I'll take a shot in the dark instead; do you use Sunscreen Protector? I've found that very few Nigerian's bother with Sunscreen, when it should be your #1 item on your skin care must use.
As we all know, Nigeria is very HOT, and no matter where you are during the day, your skin will be affected by it. Do not assume that been in doors and in an air conditioned environment would help. The sun will shine on your skin even through tinted windows also. Try using SPF 15 (Bio Balance, Neutrogena, Coppertone, etc) and above every morning over your regular skin care items, and that should help reduce the Sun darkening your skin. Also, try to invest in makeup that has SPF in it or Mineral based products, they also help with Sunblock and add an extra layer of protection (Black Opal and MAC have these).
Over all, use the Sunblock in areas Sun will touch. This is why you'll find that your chest area is usually lighter than everywhere on your body.

FashionRe: Inspiring Hair Blogs! African Hair CAN GROW! by Iyaoloja(f): 1:32pm On Jul 22, 2013
Try out Aunt Jackie's hair products, very organic and free of petroleum, sulfate, mineral etc And smells so good, I use the Oh So Clean! once a month to shampoo my hair, and In Control for Conditioning-Wash on a regular basis. I also use Organics Cholesterol with Tea Tree Oil for Co-Wash...my favorite in fact, my hair gets so soft from this. Once I'm done washing, I use a table spoon size of the Organics cholesterol + Curl la la for my hair cream.

FashionRe: 6 Ways To Manage Oily Skin Crisis by Iyaoloja(f): 1:23pm On Jul 22, 2013
I clicked on the link and it is informative enough. I would disagree on the powder issue instead. There are different types of powder, and some are formulated to absorb the oil from the skin. So generalizing that powder should not be used would fool anyone into not using powder with out enough correct information in the first place. Good job.
FashionRe: Best Body Lotion For Dry Skin by Iyaoloja(f): 1:16pm On Jul 22, 2013
Hello, I have a really dry skin and I've found that many products made for the caucasian market do not work for me. Shea Butter works pretty well for me but I sing the most praise for Organics Body Gloss combo with Black Opal's Body Renewal.

https://www.iyaoloja.com/shop/pharmacy-health-beauty/skincare/bath-body/body-gloss-12fl-oz-detail

As for Shea Butter, when ever I get a little bored with my skin routine, I use Unique Natural Shea Butter with any nice moisturizing fragranced body lotion (we all know Shea Butter does not have the best fragrance)

With either of both combos, my skin looks healthy and bright.
FashionRe: Beauty Tip For A Flawless Face by Iyaoloja(f): 12:00pm On Jul 22, 2013
Well, if you are based in a hot climate, I would advise that the primer you make use of is a Mattifying Primer (oil absorbing primer) just because of the heat.

It is not compulsory to use powder after making use of foundation, it really is all about the look you want from your makeup. To get a nice natural dewy look, some women don't use powder after using their foundation. The powder generally helps set the look and sometimes helps absorb extra oil from the skin...but if your foundation does a great job on it's own, then you can do without the powder. Just make sure you use a Mattifying Primer before using the foundation if you find that your skin gets a bit oily after a while.

FashionRe: How can I Get Rid Of Sunburn by Iyaoloja(f): 11:45am On Jul 22, 2013
As others have stated above, to avoid sunburn, use Sunscreen starting from as low SPF 8 does well. The difference in action between SPF 8, 15, 30, 50, and even 100 is not a lot, they all block over 90% of the sun ray from the skin. Mineral powders are also great form of Sun Block after using SPF (MAC Mineralize, Black Opal Mineral Powder Foundation or Mary Kay Mineral Pressed Powder), for added protection. Or use makeup products that contain SPF (Black Opal foundation)

To treat the problem, sunscreen will not treat it, only prevents it. Try a dark spot remover and that should fade a dark mark around your face. Black Opal Fade Gel for Night use does very well for this. The gel helps cool the skin area while fading the dark area away...for night use only. For over 10 years now, many of our clients have attested to this solution. Goodluck.

FashionRe: Is QE1+ A Toning And Good Cream by Iyaoloja(f): 11:37am On Jul 22, 2013
What is your skin tone (color)? For the darker skin, QEI with Almond Oil is a good place to start from, this would get you about 2 shades lighters. And the next step, after using the QEI with almond oil for about 3 months should be the QEI+ with Shea Butter. This is actually one of my favorites for clients, it get you lighter while giving you a lovely even and bright complexion.
If you still want to get lighter, then QEI+ with Carrot oil, is the next step for a very active process. I've found that Privilege or Oriental are best used in the last lightening stage. Either of those 2; privilege and oriental, do a good job of brightening the skin some more while also maintaining it. With many lightening products, when used for a long duration, the skin starts to get damage, this is NOT the case with QEI+. Which is why it has done so well after so many years in the market.

Please note that there are many fake counterparts of the QEI+, I have seen some stores that sell the body wash of it. QEI+ does not manufacture it. Nor do they manufacture an extra large size of the body lotion....fake!

FashionRe: How Do I Clear Dark Knuckles? by Iyaoloja(f): 10:43am On Jul 22, 2013
Hello, for dark knuckles you need to create a regimen where you are constantly massaging a brightening cream into the problem area. Bio Balance or Daggett and Ramsdell hand cream have been known to work well after 2 weeks constant usage. Which are safer, because in most cases most women get such problem from using very 'strong' lightening products due to it's faster results. We've found that those who gently and slowly get their skin lightened get a better long lasting result.

For a much faster result, you may also use Xtreme Brite's gel at night on the problem area only...directly. This is also quite effective. Once you have your skin back on track, always make sure to use a hand brightening cream to help avoid this problem. Also making use of sunscreen protection is never a bad idea.

FashionRe: Skin Toning Cream by Iyaoloja(f): 2:54pm On Jul 08, 2013
people who buy mixed cream need to stop. I've seen way to many women who at first loved the results, only to complain later about their skin turning red and looking burnt. If you MUST be light, use Sunscreen Protection during the day (Bio Balance, Black Opal, Seba Med, Neutrogena etc) also try to invest in makeup that contain SPF e.g Black Opal's foundation has this, Kuddy Cosmetics foundation has this, MAC Mineralize also has this. The protection will keep your skin better protected from Sun damage during the day.

At night use a proven to be safe lightening product like QEI+, PR Francoise, Q7, Carotein, Fair & White, Black Opal, Maxi White and you would get a better result. No matter how expensive and good a lightening cream is, the SUN is way stronger and darkens the skin easily. Sometimes, the cream ends up harming the skin due to the heat reaction. Be safe guys. Black is also beautiful.

FashionRe: Problem Of Stretchmarks by Iyaoloja(f): 2:42pm On Jul 08, 2013
Stretch marks can also be hereditary. In some cases with many folks who use lightening cream, while in their natural skin tone (before using the the lightening agent), the stretch marks are not obvious to their sight.. SO when they start using lightening agents, it becomes more apparent due to the skin's transformation. So for those who believe their lightening produced the stretch marks on their skin, it really does not. You simply got lighter, and the little flaws in your skin that were not so obvious become more so.

With trying to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, collagen and shea butter really do well to help reduce it's appearance. It takes at least 2 month to see a noticeable difference (in the case of those who stretch marks just recently formed). For those who have had the marks for years, it would take a longer time before it's appearance diminishes. So if your mark looks red or somewhat black-ish or still itches a bit, then the mark is somewhat new or expanding, then you have a greater chance of getting the marks to reduce significantly. If it is light in color, light brown/beige, then's it is quite old and would require more extensive use of stretch mark minimizers.

Other products that really do help based on feedbacks I've received from customers, Bio Balance and Daggett & Ramsdell, are in the top category. Bio Oil (there is a lot of fake, so be careful), Johnson's Tissue Oil also do quite well. Massage these into the area as often as possible during the day to gain good results. Also try to use firming body cream or lotion to help with the process too, Black Opal, Seba Med, Nivea, Jergens etc make really good firming products.

For those who are a bit impatient with waiting at least 2 months to see a result, some people do laser surgery to help remove it instead, but that has it's own side effects and can be quite costly.

Goodluck!
