Good afternoon,

Apologies for the delayed response. With regards to your QEI+ question, I hope it is not too late to answer. You may use QEI+ Carrot for your skin. Other similar products are 55H+ Carrot, Makari Naturalle Carotonic, Aliya Paris Carotiq, Civic Carrot, Carotein and Carrot Glow (this is a lot more expensive, but most effective of them all).

FashionRe: Can I Use Black Opal Concealer, mary Kay Foundation,& Iman Loose Powder Together? by Iyaoloja(f): 4:41pm On Oct 22, 2014
That is not true oh! Black Opal has different types of products for different skin types, generalizing it would only make others to be confused.

All the concealers are all OIL-FREE.

The foundations vary:

The stick foundation is oil free but creamy, so people who have naturally oily skin will have a problem with it. This also happens to be makeup artist favorite because of the glow users get from it and it also covers a lot, they use an Oil Mattifier with it to keep it dry.

For those who do not want the stick foundation but still want a great coverage from the foundation, use the Total Coverage Concealing Foundation. Check youtube and the like, people can't get enough of this. It covers so well that most people do not need extra concealer with it.

Next is the Creme to Powder Foundation, this has medium coverage and works well for dry to normal skin type.

Then the Perfecting Powder Foundation which works for those who have OILY skin with a cream to matte finish. This has a medium coverage also, so about the same coverage you get from Iman's foundation

There are more foundations by Black Opal that I have not listed and even though Anistef commented against the Concealer, I am highlighting the foundations because many people tend to assume Black Opal's foundations are concealers because they do an amazing job of concealing.

estilo: cryPls help!!! Have been using Skineal on my face over a year, recently someone told me it has steroid in it so I stopped using it. Now my face is 10x darker, rough and am also left with terrible sunburn cry ....
I don't want to go back to it and also don't want to bleach my skin.
Please what can I do to get back my normal glowing skin? am fair in complexion

Thanks in advance
Skineal is best for short term skin treatment, not prolonged use for issues like eczema and so on (4 days max!). Usually, it stops working after over use, so I'm surprised it worked for you. To help with your sunburn + lightening issue, you should start with Black Opal's Maximum Fade System. In this set, you get a day brightening cream with spf, an exfoliating soap, and a face gel to clear your sun burn at night. No Black Opal is not just for black people incase you were going to ask. This set should last you for about 2 months. By the time you are done with it, you skin should be noticeably brighter and even. (https://www.iyaoloja.com/shop/pharmacy-health-beauty/skincare/maximum-strength-fade-kit-detail)

At this stage you may decide to continue with in order to maintain you skin complexion, or decide to get much lighter. If you want to get even lighter, then you can try Xtreme Brite ( https://www.iyaoloja.com/shop/pharmacy-health-beauty/skincare/lightening-cream-1-76oz-detail) face lightening cream after the Black Opal.

In comaprison to skineal, both these products cpst a bit more, but if used the way describes you should get a good result. I find that when people start their lightening process with stronger products, their skin end up discolored. Starting with the Black Opal is safer and more even.

milky doll: @ iyaloja pls do u knw if q7 is beta dan fair nd white?
Pardon the late response. For some Q7 is better, for some Fair and White is better. Who knows? With many of these products, it's usually trial and error.
It will be easier to give you an answer based on your skin care history, this way, I can give you a more educated response. Also, Fair and White has a large range of lightening products, and they vary in results.

Surestontop: I have stretch marks on my body, what can i use to make it go? Ive tried some tubes but it remains there. Pls any other cream to use to erase it? Thanks
For the most inexpensive way, pure shea butter aka Ori, really helps with stretch marks. Massage into the affected area several times during the day, and with time it helps reduce the appearance.
In the case of older stretch marks (white-ish looking marks), you'll find that it takes a much longer time to reduce it's appearance.

Based on customer feedbacks, Bio Balance is quite good when it comes to reducing stretch mark appearance...and the same goes for Daggett and Ramsdell (DR)

Ima Mmakara: Helo iyaoloya, i wnt to ask hw good is Q7 carrot oil lotion with it's serum and soap, does it really lighten the skin.
Hello, I really do not know your skincare history, so I can not assure you on how effective it will be for YOU. On it's own, Q7 is a good skin lightening product. When used with it's serum and exfoliating bar, you should get an even better result. In my opinion, it is more or less the same as QEI+ carrot, at a lowered price. So if you've had good results from QEI+, then Q7 should yield the same results. Also make sure to buy the original of it just to avoid wahala.

SassyPearl: A fair day to you all,my aimable friends. Please who has used / is using Pr. Francoise Bedon (Paris / Lait Eclaircissant) Carotte Lighting Body Lotion here. Am (75%) fair skinned. I started using Clear Essence fade creme (cup) late last combined with fashion fair creme (tube) after the body treat lotion (blue pack) mixed with fashion fair (tube), i used for over 10yrs started acting up. At first, it (clear essence) was cool on me, but after five cups, i noticed that i was getting dark. So i started surfing the internet for any suitable tone creme/hydroqunino free . And blemmy!, i settled, and bought Pr. Francoise Bedon carotte lighting body lotion. I want to know if it will help clearup/tone my now tanned skin, back to it,s original form. I am not satisifed with it,s online explaination by the product manifacturers "who go say him malee soup no sweet". You can agree with me,that no producer will talk down it,s product. So i want an unbiased testimony in this context. You are all blessed.
Carrot is a good ingredient in skin lightening products. PR Francoise sells well in our stores, for some, it works well enough, for some it does not. I would categorize it as in the same level as QEI+ Carrot or Q7 Carrot. They all work well in gradual process, you could also invest in buying the serum to add to the lotion for night use, and you would get a much better result. You should also give it at least 2 weeks before seeing the results you want.
I would advise that if you live in a tropical country like Nigeria, it would be best you use it at night only, instead use a Sun Protective lotion during the day. You should also use face cream separate from the body lightening lotion, we'e found that some women tend to have facial skin discoloration when they use their body lotion for their face. Lastly, make sure to an exfoliating body bar, you'll find that the skin in more susceptible to lightening if it has been prepped properly.

Remember to always use sun block during the day around your parts open to the sun, if not, your lightening process might be a waste of time.

Hello Dami, that is proper fake. Olay, Jergens, QEI+, Dove do NOT make such items. Even the Queen Helen Egg Yolk is very fake. If you want to purchase a lightening body wash, Alpen Goat Milk Body Bath with Whitening Formula is quite good and made by a Canadian company especially for Nigeria's market.

You should invest you time and morning in day and night skin routine to help with your blemish.

If you have large pore/open pores, make use of a pore minimizing toner. Ice would only temporary help reduce it, because it shrinks the skin for a few minutes. As soon as you out in a warm weather, your skin would be back to normal.
With large pores, the skin usually produces more oil, and it leave your skin more prone to bacterial problems that may lead to pimple/acne breakout problems.

Invest in a day and night skincare routine, facial wash and pore toner, daily. Black Opal has pretty good Pore Minimizing Toner, and so does L'Oreal...you will find that Black Opal is much easier to access and works quite well. For your facial wash, any oil control or acne clearing wash should do the trick for you.

You can try this affordable blemish bar to use for facial wash - https://www.iyaoloja.com/shop/pharmacy-health-beauty/skincare/control-complexion-bar-3-5-oz-detail

FashionRe: Product Reviews: Stop Wasting Money! Beauty Products That Actually Work by Iyaoloja(f): 11:57am On Oct 19, 2013
Good post on your skincare routine @nappily

Here's my tidbit.

Step 1 - Facial Wash. For those with extra sensitive skin, use on with Benzoyl Peroxide. Although, based on experience, clients with sensitive tend to use Black Opal's blemish wash or Neutrogena Acne Wash and find it works for them. Of all the blemish wash we get great feedback from, Black Opal's Blemish Bar is a winner for many of its users.

Step 2 - Astringent or Toner. Most people complain about it's over drying effect on the skin, which is not good. In some cases, when the skin gets over dried, it reacts by creating even extra oil, and that is something you want to avoid in the first place. Generally, brands targeting acne/blemish clearing almost always have 0.9 - 2% salicylic acid in the astringent + alcohol denat. From experience, the products that also contain glycerine or Witch Hazel get better results from the skin. Sadly, not many brands use Witch Hazel in their astringent, the only one that I can think of is Black Opal's pore minimizing toner. Oxy's cleansing pads are also quite good and Kuddy Cosmetics also has a good oil control toner + lightening ingredient.

Step 3 - Anti- Acne. Benzoyl Peroxide (Oxy, Oxy 10 etc) is great for those with sensitive skin and works well to clear out acne and spots.
For those who have tested acne lotion with 2% salicylic acid (Black Opal, Mary Kay, Clean and Clear, Neutrogena etc) and found that it did not work, Benzoyl Peroxide is a good alternative. And if Benzoyl does not work, then 2% Salicylic.

Step 4 - Targeted Gel. These get used when there's a break out problem and you have large pimples on the skin. The target blemish gel, usually Salicylic acid, gets applied on remote areas only. And preferable at night. The targeted blemish gel are to be used for emergency situations, not daily usage. In my case, it gets the job done within 48hours max. Black Opal, Mary Kay, Neutrogena, Clean & Clear, have gels that help.

Over all, the brands are not really what should be focused on, simply the ingredients. In the skincare industry, a lot of the brands copy each other...everything else is just marketing.

Check out https://www.iyaoloja.com/search/face-treatments-moisturizers__or__toners-astringents/no-manuf for products that can do the trick.

Mascara preferences rely on your personal taste. If you want your lashes to look long and thick, Black Opal quite is good for that. Some ladies prefer long and defined without the volume, and a lot of lengthening Mascara's do the trick quite well; Flormar, Mary Kay, MAC, L'Oreal, just to name a few. The nails look pretty good! I use China Glaze for all of my nail art...In the picture below I used a nail applique (loop holes) and nail polish (I also took the picture about a 1 week+ after application). For the nail applique, it's just a stick-on pre-designed nail polish that gets the job done within seconds...mine usually last for about 2 week (i apply top coats on them). I was a bit shaky when applying polish so they are not as proper as I prefer. The redish color is Heli-Yum by China Glaze also.

For those interested in buying them:
