Bastardlyrich: Bayelsa is an ijaw states. Ijaws will resist any attempt to steal our lands First Yoruba Muslims stole Lagos from us and now they want to steal ondo from us.ijaws are practically marginalized there s if they don't exist. In rivers igbos have said ijaws will never rule again, they /etche,ikwere,omuma,omogu,obigbo/ ndoni have said no ijaw will rule forgetting that ijaws own half of the state while other ethnics share the rest. Our of 23 local government ijaws own 11 and share one with ikwere. In delta itsekiris are dragging ijaw land with us. In Edo the benins are dragging our land too. They all forget ijaws are the fourth largest tribe in Nigeria after Yoruba Muslims which are 3rd. Ijaws also are the richest, bravest and strongest black tribe in Africa and the world. Ijaws will continue seeking peace with their brothers in ss/se but we shouldn't be provoked. As for those cowardds, afonjas ijaws will chase them to Benin republic Nobody is stealing land here, the truth is that sincerity need in development, so ijaw should retract their ways |

DitariDisciple2: First and foremost. Sagbama LGA have 38 communities and Isoko have 4 small camp like communities at the border with the Isoko of Delta. Patani does not have any Isoko. Oduophori and Odorubu even Ofoni of Bayelsa are all of the Tarakiri clan in Ijaw land.
They are IJaw people. This is why they are under all Ijaw sociocultural organizations.
And thirdly INC never asked any such as kings.
Fourthly those camp like community at the Isoko of Delta border that cut into Bayelsa have no crude oil.
Bayelsa state have 550 villages and settlements in it and Isoko have 4 that cut into Bayelsa from the Isoko of Delta border. The rest 546 are all Ijaws under all Ijaw sociocultural organizations. isoko have eight communities in bayelsa state, Osekwenike, Osifo and Abuetor are oil producing communities |

Abohboy: You realize that different areas can have different people living within them right? And that different ethnic groups can be within a single LGA? If you don't know this then you're an idiot becaus that should be obvious to anyone who knows anything about Nigeria, Delta State has 5 major ethnic groups including Igbo, Urhobo, Isoko, Itsekiri and Ijaw and where i'm from Aboh is an igbo community you are very correct |

Ariani: Ofoni is Urhobo. But Ijaws don't even recognize that. Which Isokos are in Bayelsa? Abuetor,Okpokiri, etc. They(Ijaws) insist they are all Ijawland and that anyone there who doesn't identify as Ijaw is a customary tenant. You lots think everyone is like Igbos that don't play their cards well?

isokomarine: We call for the creation of Isoko local government area from ndokwa east. Which comprising of Isoko indigenous ethnic group. I believe it's our fundamental constitutional right as distinct ethnic nationality, to call on the federal and state government to recognize our uniqueness and create a separate isoko east local government from ndokwa east, especially when such exercise will promote peace, growth and development of the state. An isoko east local government will be economically viable because of it numerous resources and contiguous land mass, the proposed isoko east local government has oil and gas field with several oil well. River and streams which have endured from centuries, the rivers are treasure of fishes, prawns and shrimps, which can sustain a fish industry. Agriculture, Isoko east is endowed with vast arable land, this land suitable for the cultivation of Palm oil, rubber, cassava, yam, plantain, pepper. Conclusion-- the proposed isoko east local government will consist of Isoko indigenous ethnic group such as ibrede, anyama, awa, iyede ame, lagos iyede, ogege, oka, umuti, onogbokor, abare, abo, nwukpe, igbuku, oko, ovala, shugume, ughelli, ibedeni, ekpe, osafo, ashaka, ase, egbeme, otuoku, warri otuoku, onyah, lepper camp, Obi igbo, oloa, ossaissa, umu unor, warri irri, ekeregbrsi, ugbokor, Over the years the isoko people have contributed to the progress and growth of delta State and nigeria in various areas, the isoko people of ndokwa east strongly desire a local government of their own, we use the medium to appeal to the federal and state government and Isoko development Union,to look into our plight nice move... most inspirational post I have come across this year.
