I don't think it's fair to say he should withdraw from the race but he should stop granting interviews because it's going to keep hurting his chances. I want the opposition parties to give Asiwaju a run for his money, that's what makes democracy interesting. anonimi: |
I think Obi should stop granting interviews, it's against his interest and counterproductive 😂😂 |
What else is the North hiding from us ? I never knew they had intellectuals like this, the VP has a vast knowledge of geopolitics. I know some h*lf-wits were expecting a confrontation response but he choose to be diplomatic. We shouldn't take sides in the economic power tussle but play both sides to our advantage. FSBoperator: |
The pygmies 😂 😂 😂 😂 Your heaven na view once 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 FORTHECULTURE: |
You're spot on!!! The slave descendants from Liberia or Monrovia are quite different from the Agudas or Amaros that came directly from Brazils to Lagos. The ones from Monrovia or Liberian are mostly non Yorubas. FSBoperator: |
One m*m* up there said Gbarebo are the real owners of Lagos 😂 How can descendants of a slave returnee be the real owners of Lagos 😂 You wan make we tell Gbarebo him great grandfather history 😂😂😂 This is why I keep saying most of the people speaking on Lagos politics know absolutely nothing about it. Stick to your region Omo mola |
If the largest population of Lagosians are Yorubas (because it's a Yoruba State) and that would make them the largest consumers. How in God's name do you call your largest customers base lazy ? For a group of people to be your largest customers, that would imply they have money to spend. Except lazy people get money from heaven in Lagos states 😂😂😂😂 |
I think Wike is working for his interest beyond 2027, Wike and Dickson are cooking something interesting, we just got to wait and see Are we talking about the same Wike that had the machinery to frustrate Atiku's presidency 😂 |
It appears these "miscreants" as described by the Lagos police are against capitalism. The South West operates an open and free market economic structure because it gives room to competitions and innovation. If you're afraid of competing kindly step aside because we are expecting more countries to come in, not just the Chinese. |
I think we all owe Randigital and other South Africans an apology |
We don adopt them as we adopt our blodas 😂 😂 😂 😂 You too like vawulence, see as you dey press their neck 😂 😂 😂 PulaPower: |
I heard the "miscreants" are threatening to boycott the importation of Chinese goods 😂😂😂😂 E be like say una wan may hunger Kee una 😂😂 |

A section of the country has been described and reduced to as miscreants by the Lagos police recently due to their intolerance and aversion to competitions. The Chinese are investors and should be allowed to invest their money in whatever business or group of companies they choose as long as they are not breaking any trade laws. Looking at the history of Lagos, before the encounter with the Portuguese, the Aworis (the Aboriginies of Lagos from Ile-Ife) traded with the Ilajes, the Ijebus and the Egbas for centuries. The History of Lagos itself shows it has always been a capitalist society, a place where like-minded capitalist converge. A learned person would know one of the core tenets of capitalism or a capitalist society is the open and free market structure. A free and open market encourages competition and innovation and such are the advantages that drives the dynamisms of the Yoruba markets across the vast South Western States. If the Chinese have broken no trade laws, why are these miscreants crying blue murder ¿ Firstly, you must understand the difference between a trader and a business man A trader buys and sells assets or goods for short-term profit, while a businessman builds and manages a long-term enterprise that creates sustainable value If you're a business man you'll agree the Chinese will add more value to the Lagos and federal economy in the long run compared to the petty traders. The fear of competition One of the reasons the US has the largest economy on the planet is because it operates as a capitalist society. Competition keeps businesses on their toes and encourages innovation. You either be innovative or be left behind, that's why the Chinese copied the US markets structure. Today, the Chinese market pretty much a capitalist market as the US. Laconically, our petty traders in Lagos and other parts of the prosperous South Western States must start thinking like a business man or give way to the Chinese. |
I think after the North, power will be going to the people in the SS. I think Wike and the NDC Supreme leader are cooking something serious. Umahi or Soludo would be great but I'm guessing they might be VP for the North in 31. honor4me: |
It's a three man race and it's not much of a competition. I really wish the opposition could work together, that way they can make it more interesting by giving Asiwaju a run for his money. The opposition will have no excuse and no one to blame when they lose. Only a coalition can defeat Asiwaju 4+4=8 |
This is a very ambitious project, I'm sure the construction company did the feasibility study, if it's a costal road I see no reason to bypass a state that has access to the shoreline for one in the inlands. |
People get away with so many unbelievable things in Nigeria. This is a serious allegation and shouldn't be swept under the carpet. He said all these and his evidence are not backed by facts but his emotions. If Obi that came third believed he won, what should Atiku say ! Whenever you make allegations like these, for goodness sake be ready to back it up with facts to avoid misinformation. |
Nairaland should have done justice to the topic. The FBI has been operating in Nigeria since we transitioned from military to civilian rule in 1999. 27 years now. They also have been in Ghana for decades. I guess people just recently discovered this or is there something else I'm missing. |
There's nothing wrong in Obi dropping money but the sinister part is when he tries to portend a moral superiority. As a matter of fact, modern day politicians and morals shouldn't be in the same sentence. |
I'm guessing you're not a capitalist Dangote is not your government, he operates a legitimate business, he pays his taxes and creates employment. We should encourage more of these people not tear them down. Nemesis0147: |
Let me guess, you're one of those supporters of Agbotikuyo For educational purpose : Nigeria's Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday approved the development of the Badagry Deep Seaport on a built-own-operate transfer Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement, as noted by Arise News.Key details of the PPP arrangement include:Funding Model: Private investors and a consortium (including entities like APM Terminals, Orlean Invest, Oando, Terminal Investment Limited, and Macquarie) are set to fully finance the estimated $2.59 billion project cost. [1] (https://nimasa.gov.ng/jamoh-underscores-strategic-importance-of-badagry-deep-seaport/), [2] (https://www.infrapppworld.com/update/fec-approves-badagry-deep-seaport-ppp-in-lagos), You can't tell investors where to invest their money, it's simple. Imagine how devoid of morals you've to be to go this extra level of bitterness towards something beneficial to Nigerian students |
When Mr Lere Olayinka said not every candidate contesting an election is expecting to win, this is one of the people he meant. Lately, people are allergic to facts, your emotions does not change facts. Ire oooo |
Ogun ye, mo ye Ela iboru Ela iboye Ela iboye bo sise |
There's a well established line between criticism and character assassination, Journalism in Nigeria has taken a nosedive with the likes of Rufai given audience to speak without facts. It'll only open the media platforms to more lawsuits. |
Do you know how shameless a man have to be before he takes up his wife's surname !!! Do with this information whatever you like 😂😂😂 |
This right here is our problem as Nigerians We celebrate mediocrity where we can demand standards. We are not Americans so I don't understand why you brought up America. If America is your utopia, when ICE operatives do something reckless or endanger Americans someone is held accountable. Do you know how many Nigerians have been killed by the very military that was employed to keep them safe ? Guess what no one has ever been held accountable when an unknown soldier commits atrocious acts. Nothing has changed in their civil engagement and no one is saying anything about it. Learn to call a spade a spade. callmeDDD: |
Nothing to applaud here, as long as they keep failing in civil engagement, they have a lot to learn. The average soldier sees himself above any civilian and that mentality has to change, they should learn not to terrorize the very civilians they were employed to safeguard. I wonder what discipline means to the average Nigerian soldier. |
