Like I said before The worst case scenario would be he was found guilty which most Nigerians like you already assumed. It still won't change the outcome of the erection, it'll only create a buzz or mass hysteria and it's definitely gonna blow over. I really hope the opposition has better cards up their sleeves because this can't be their only play. Let's see if the DOJ would release the file Fingers crossed 🤞 Boomyvig: If you think in system, you know uncertainty can humble people where they least expected it.
Those conditions you listed are too basic. In circumstances like this one, you may see 30 and more conditions possible each with severe consequences to undermine public trust and integrity capable of shaping the law unprecedented and causing Tinubus removal from office.
You think those people fighting to have the record release don’t already know what’s in there ? And the level of damage it potentially can cause Tinubu? And why do you think Tinubu is actively doing everything to conceal the record ? Dey play. |

Let's assume he was found guilty, how's that going to change the outcome of the coming erection (pun intended) ? Will that automatically disqualify him from the contest ? What will be the position of the Nigerian court ? we are a sovereign nation after all. The case has been concluded three decades ago!!! |

I watched the video, it says it's about preventing open grazing, do the Enugu people openly graze cattles ? We both know the people doing that. I don't know any Enugu person that has ever done that, they probably rear cattles but to say the Enugu people are the major beneficiary is being economical with the truth. I hope it works for them. Mrexcell: The enugu govt is just doing their job of creating the enabling environment for profitable cattle business to thrive watch the video and hear from the enugu govt official explaining in details how everything will eventually work out even if enugu indigens are not naturally into the cattle business they can always go into the business once the enugu govt has successfully established the modern ranch where private investors can come in to invest. The cattle business is quite very huge and very profitable. |

I'm from Eti-Osa and I'm not from Enugu but I'm curious about the data. What is the percentage of the Enugu people that are into cattle rearing ?Cattle rearing is a private business, just like fishery, farming, piggery, fishery and the likes. I hope the data shows and justify the 11,000 hectares of land being allocated for cattle rearing, a personal business venture. If it's actually about job creation, we should see the data that shows the Enugu people are into this business. Mrexcell: It's intented to create thousands of new jobs and business opportunities. |
Agriculture › Re: Enugu Embarks On 11,000-hectare Livestock And Ranch Development To Curb Grazing by Iyobaba(m): 7:08am On Aug 19 |
Cattle rearing is a personal business, I see no reason the government should fund such project. Nigeria is not the only country where private citizens rear cattles, so why should it be any different ? I hope the government will also provide the same amount of funding for private citizens rearing pigs, fishes and dogs. Most Enugu folks I know are into buying and selling and mostly commerce. What percentage of Enugu people are into cattle rearing ?
We need the data because this might be used as a template for other States.

They are easily manipulated because they're quite emotional just like their principal. When Deji said Atiku and Agbotikuyo should work together, then Seun during his interview (even though partisan) asked who should step down for who ? They were expecting him to say Agbotikuyo, but if the man had said Agbotikuyo it would appear as though he endorsed Atiku and if he said Agbotikuyo should step down they would assume he endorsed Atiku. Bamboozled could also mean confused, throw off and sometimes frustrated, I'm surprised you're still on about this. CSP - Center for Security Policy (CSP), a Washington, D.C.-based think tank Testified as an expert witness in federal trial proceedings regarding domestic extremist network connections. Testified before congressional bodies, including the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee (Subcommittee on the Constitution) and the Canadian Senate Standing Committee on National Security and Defense I see this conversation might be a rabbit hole It was nice but all good things must come to an end 😊 IjeBos: 1.) Again, bamboozled was the wrong word choice. It may mean confused, but it's connotation (I'm helping you with new words) is confusion based on trickery.
2.) Now you're getting there. Let's go further. a.) What is the CISP? What think tank is that and what is their background? b.) What senior US government officials, members of Congress and state attorneys has he briefed. c.) What research and writing has he done?
3.) You were bamboozled but not by me. This is the playbook of the right and people like Ted Cruz. They trout out some "expert" from some think tank with a name that sounds impressive "Center for Security Policy". But that expert is generally some nonsensical person willing to say whatever these Right wing nuts want. But now that that "expert" is spouting "nonsense" in a Congressional Hearing, it gives it gravitas. The next step is for Ted Cruz to go on TV and say "See, this expert, from this place with this impressive sounding name said _______". So, now Fox News and other right wing places report "An expert in a Congressional hearing said _________" and further launder the BS. And then someone like you hears that, doesn't do his/her own due diligence, believes it and regurgitates it like you did here.
4.) I say all this because when I first heard about the hearing days ago it sounded very suspect. So, I went and googled who the guy was. And not surprising he was what I expected. Below is Google AI description of the Center for Security Policy.
5.) In fewer words, I have a problem with Ted Cruz pulling this stunt, the BS analyst he used to pull it and people like you who don't use the most basic of critical thinking. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by Iyobaba(m): 8:56pm On Aug 07 |
Finally, you admit you've a thing against Cruz, that's understandable but discrediting a renowned analyst because of Cruz's bigotry or bias is what I'm against. There are several well armed white militia groups within the US like the Patriots front and Active club, if someone or a Demo brings up a report support this notion, it shouldn't matter as long as the report is accurate. budaatum: Yes. I do keep bringing different topics, thanks for noticing. Unlike some who's minds might be boxed, mine is outside the town at least.
I do disagree with Ted Cruz because Ted Cruz has a view that is biased to promote this false belief he has. He's like our Enoch Powell, who ranted rivers of blood against black immigrants taking over Britain. We do it in Nigeria too, scaring that Islam is going to take over Enugu, when no one can take my own from worshipping Ogun. But that's not what I have against the anti-Islam rhetoric of Ted Cruz and his like. Just ask ben, he'd tell you his understanding, while mine is not being able to stand the bigotry. It's like Ogun worshippers claiming to take over from Sango worshippers so let's hate each other, which is so unmytribe, apart from my dislike of the control the hatred is designed to engineer.
Fact is, they may well take over, if you are that weak. I mean, seriously? Brotherhood? When China is rising? But to take over they must align with those who help them achieve their goals. Or would you argue the white nationalist don't have wings in both parties like the Brotherhood would? And that's why any one who doesn't want to be taken over should stand up to defend the Constitution of the United States of America instead of letting dump dump all over what makes America great, is what I think, since I doubt you'd wake up one morning and suddenly find the Supreme Court filled with ayatollahs of course, a fear I'd think is irrational.
Incidentally, I got to a paragraph in Deng Ming Dao's Chronicles of Tao. It's the middle one. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by Iyobaba(m): 8:35pm On Aug 07 |
If you feel minute with the fact that I used certain words, I think you're far from the point. FYI, Bamboozled also means confused, if you don't know that then you need to upgrade your diction. Kyle Shideler was called to testify as an expert witness based on his specialized focus in policy research, threat analysis, and long-standing focus on domestic and foreign ideological networks. He serves as the Director and Senior Analyst for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism at the Center for Security Policy (CSP), a Washington, D.C. He has routinely briefed senior U.S. government officials, members of Congress, state attorneys general, and federal/local law enforcement agencies on extremist networks and counterterrorism strategies. Shideler has spent over a decade researching, writing, and analyzing the operational structures, history, and doctrines of Islamist groups and front organizations operating within the United States. In fewer terse, you don't have a problem with the report, what you've a problem with is TEd Cruz. IjeBos: 1.) Bamboozled is the wrong word choice. The connotation is wrong for your usage. You meant 'confused' but I'm sure you wanted to sound grandiloquent but instead chose the wrong word.
2.) Most Psychologists are licensed and have professional and educational qualifications. Is a "counterterrorist analyst" licensed? Again, what makes him someone I should listen to? What made him someone you chose to listen to? I think the premises of one of our arguments is flawed and it's not mine.
3.)No, I have an issue with someone posting nonsense just because another nonsense individual said something and called himself an authority on it. Let's try it this way: I'm a "people who aren't real counterterorrist analyst" analyst. And I'm telling you that he is mostly bullshit. Now since I've crowned myself an analyst in this, what I say is Gospel right? Make sense to you now? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by Iyobaba(m): 7:24pm On Aug 07 |
I'm still bamboozled by the first paragraph of your argument. I'll attempt to draw similarities by making it simpler: It's like saying what expertise or authority does a psychologist have in relations to mental health. I believe you can see the premise of your argument is deeply flawed. I'll reiterate, I don't think you and the other guy have an issue with the report except the fact that Ted Cruz was mentioned in the conversation. IjeBos: So what gives this "counterterrorist analyst" an expertise, authority or any credibility in this field that I should take his word as Gospel or even believe what he says? I'm sure you researched him right?
If Ted Crux brings a witness to the table, that says something dubious like this, you can take it to the bank it's most likely a mal actor. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by Iyobaba(m): 5:42pm On Aug 07 |
Again, you keep bringing different topics not remotely connected to the current discourse. I think what you disagree with here is Ted Cruz and not what the counterterrorism analyst had to say. budaatum: Are you not bewildered by you own singular view?
Below is what Ted said.
“I held a hearing today in which experts established that the Muslim Brotherhood and DSA communists are united by a shared hatred of America, Israel, Western civilization, capitalism, and democracy, and a revolutionary objective to overthrow the U.S. Constitution,” Cruz said on X.
Some said the exact same thing here about dump. After all, his Jan6 insurrection was damaging to Western civilization, and capitalism, and democracy, and was a revolutionary objective to overthrow the U.S. Constitution. Do you agree with this view? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by Iyobaba(m): 5:19pm On Aug 07 |
I'm utterly bewildered by your singular perspective. budaatum: Whoever made it had an agenda to push and I'm not buying. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by Iyobaba(m): 2:24pm On Aug 07 |
Again you're misdirecting the conversation, was it Ted cruz who made the claim or a counterterrorism analyst ? budaatum: I think you just don't understand my argument, though I admit I haven't made it yet.
When some hear what you fear here which is what makes Cruz demonise others (apart from the fact he receives money to say what he says), some remember it was done to the Japanese, done to some Jews, done in Guantanamo Bay, and therefore discourage the demonisation of others before one is done to.
But I must suppose you might have never personally experienced being done after, and perhaps I should read you with that in mind. Do correct me please. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by Iyobaba(m): 9:29am On Aug 07 |
You're argument is flawed because it was Cruz asking the questions, the analyst only answered. The red green alliance will bring about the end of America itself from within. budaatum: I personally wouldn't call a "report" what Ted Cruz says since I'm fully aware of his political bias. It's like believing Tinubu when he 'reports' that he has dealt with insecurity in Nigeria. |

Is this your first general election as a Nigerian ? It's common knowledge there's restrictions of movement especially inter-state and vehicular movement, pedestrians are exempted. All land borders are also closed on the day of general election. No governor has the power to declare curfew on General election day, the power rests on the IG and in coordination with INEC. 43Ronin: This is how they will rig the 2027 election. The state police bill will be passed. on the election day, the 32 governors will declare curfew then state & federal police will be there to "execute" the curfew. So after voting at your ward, you cannot follow the ballot box to collation centre. Its at the collation centre that the grand rigging will happen |
