Many types of US visas do allow part-time study (e.g., J-2, F-2, H-4, etc.) ............ so you basically be paying $10,200 for 4 courses and study in your bedroom .

Hello Nlanders, I am really interested in PGC Postgraduate Certificate in Cyber Security through Mastersportal .eu

My confusion here is that the course is at Harvard University (Extension) and the only requirement I can see is IELTS or test of English.
I had earlier thought of going to Canada but I lost hope because of the processing times which could take up to 4 months and I do not have that time.

I can see people talking about GMAT and GRE, are these exams mandatory for an American student Visa and by the way I studied Computer Science in India and I graduated and returned to Nigeria august this year.

I’m pleased to inform you of KIT Graduate School Admission Guideline for spring semester 2017.
Please see attached admission guideline for your good information.

Here are important notice for you.

1. I recommend you to contact your future supervisor professor to discuss about your study and get professor’s confirmation about your admission.

Future supervisor professor means one of the faculty members (professor) in kit whom you will work for.
If you can search and contact the one in kit and get the professor’s admission confirmation, then that’s clear that you will be accepted by kit.

To match Graduate School applicant and supervisor professor is very important for the admission stage.
If there’s no professor who wants you to join one’s lab, then you will not get the acceptance.

2. Regarding scholarship, we have limited budget for scholarship every year. So Graduate School committee will select and judge scholarship type and language score every semester.

3. If your citizenship is not one of US, Canada, England, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa, then it is a must to submit one of TOEFL, TOPIK, IELTS, TOEIC or TEPS.

Your admission will be automatically canceled if you don’t send language proficiency test result on time.

You forgot to state that this is your opinion and not a fact. First the opinion is wrong. Second, a visitor in US can apply for Canadian study permit from the US. (This is a fact). Most importantly, your chances of getting a Canadian study permit from the US as a visitor is far better than your chances of getting same from Accra (this is our opinion).

Well, you can authorize a 3rd party in Canada to receive the fund on your behalf. All you need is to write a letter of authorization, inform the school about it and hear what excuse (if any) they will give.

I have never been insulted the way a representative from Lambton for Nigeria one so called Chioma Udom insulted me today. She claimed my university was not part of the schools recognized by LAMBTON and so I can't be offered admission for a certificate course. See forming because your application has been approved. Please in Naija we dont speak french biko. From my experience over the years helping others, for student visa it is advisable to book a one way ticket because 2-way ticket expires in a year. There are some unknown circumstances that might make you stay longer than you intended which will then make you forfeit the return ticket.

They will surely disturb you at Airport in Nigeria just because you have a one way ticket.

Please seun we can now identify one jobless nairalander.
