Seun:
Dear Nairalanders,

We are thinking of completely banning the promotion of forex trading and sports betting on Nairaland.

Forex day-trading and sports betting are fundamentally fraudulent because they're promoted as a quick way of making money whereas due to mathematical facts, the only people who make money are the middlemen and marketers. The "investors" almost always lose their money.

In our experience, it's not enough to warn Nairaland members about the dangers of forex day-trading and sports betting. The promise of quick profit is just too much for thousands of vulnerable Nairaland members to resist. The only way to protect them is complete censorship.

We believe that the complete ban of such content will make Nairaland a better platform for discussing legitimate entrepreneurship and finance.

What do you think?

Seun in as much as I respect you as a person, I want to say this is just your thinking and opinion. If sport betting was fraudulent, I know EFCC would have spelt it out. There are lots of persons that makes money through sports betting day in day out and also forex trading.

I know this forum belongs to you, but I think you should have a re-think. Nobody is being forced to place bets or run forex.

Admission start by 3rd of February for osmania university. Same things goes to some of you the universitys.

Boom... Was in a hurry to place this bet with my phone because kick off for the first match was in 5mins, so I mistakenly typed 10,000 instead of 1000, even though I stopped or closed the tab, the bet still went through. The last team to play COBH Ramblers though draw no bet was loosing 0-2 even in second half while others were doing ok... They pulled one back on seventy something minute and got a penalty in the 83rd minute...

Thank you op for the eye opener

There's a mutual friend between Le boo and I

Mutual friend called me days back to inform me that she broke up with her Boyfriend. Reason being that her Boyfriend complained that she wasn't obeying her... For my mind I am like is this a master and slave relationship? Le boo and I had a good laugh over the excuse and said she deserved better...

Forward to today:

Le boo at work and me at home. Whatsapp chat started

Le boo: Hello babes, good morning how was your night?
Me:Just there, urs?
Le boo: Was ok, are you ok? whats wrong?
Me:Nothing, just don't understand whats going on lately sha...
Le boo: But we spoke last night and we were all good, so why this attitude this morning?
Me:Nothing, I dont think I can do this anymore...

Next split second, Le boo calling...
Me: I dont think I can do this anymore, you always disobey me... I am done, please lets share garri... Mocking what our mutual friend's boyfriend gave as an excuse to break up the relationship.

Le Boo: hissssssssssssss, haaaaaaa, you are not well at all, you are very unserious, at your age you are still playing April fool... my God, you even let me come out of the office to call you when I was busy...

Me: Even when we grow old, with no tooth in your mouth, I'll play silly pranks whenever I can

You unknowingly called her a who*re.

Basketmouth is just too dry, he's no longer creative at all, before now he created jokes about our everyday life, now he is clueless and devoid of creativity that he now resolves to using sex and women as object of his jokes. He should go get a life. The world has celebrated this bread seller than he'll ever dream of.

Mutuwa:
Thing about marriage is that one MUST vehemently pray before you go into it..what the Op adumbrated are just some, out of copious reasons why marriages break down irretrievably.

Remember: when a man/woman is married, trouble begins, simply because WE are MEN and THEY are WOMEN.

Stop with this religious bruhaha...

Marriage is about understanding and mutual respect garnished with undiluted love and trust. Are you trying to say Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and Chris Okojie and not prayer commando's?

Your assertion of prayer is inconsequential in building a loving home.

Another news to feed the gullible with!!! Who is this person? They asked him to go and look for the money?! How redundant.

Buhahahahahaha... New Media? Well Naija go better when we the people get sense to make our own judgments.

Wailers will come here to tell you this is pure propaganda/ media trial. God bless Nigerians for voting out that useless dead and corrupted party outta power

HungerBAD:
Change is here.

The March to the gradual killing of Corruption in Nigeria, is positively moving forward. We well get there, and as regards the report by the Newspaper, it will be hard to mostly trace those stolen fund.

But, what we can do is to block all the loopholes, so it does not happen again in future. A relevant example, is the TSA account, which has generally stopped a lot of thieves from stealing Nigeria Blind, and thus making the Banks complain because that revenue generator for them as being blocked.

Buhari is working.

Did you miss the other thread where Buhari led government has been accused of hiking budget to be spent in aso villa from 580 to 1.7 billion or you intentionally skipped that thread?

Please can someone remind me, which election is APC preparing for? Because all I can smell here is still campaigns!!!

For Elneny mind, them go soon put me...
