adeaks: 1.) The Hybrid worship song - Gbenga Adenuga.
The first time I saw the title I wondered what type of gospel song it could be....but being a big Gbenga Adenuga fan I downloaded it and what a blessing that decision was. There is no day I don't go without listening to this song. It is a medley of some of his songs. I particularly like the "only you/it is you" part of the song. I have been looking all over the net for that "it is you" song to download as a stand alone song without success.
2.) Your foes would bow - Gbenga Adenuga
Another gbenga Adenuga classic. An 11 minute long rendition that would keep you connected thruogjiut every second of it.
3). Everybody Join - Wale Adenuga
Very popular worship song. If you don't know it, smh
3) Yahweh - Chris Morgan
What a song!
4) Good to be home - Coco Jones
A worship song by a secular artist. You need to hear this song.
5) Mercy - Banky W
Have mercy on me, Mercy Lord! A song about mercy and forgiveness.
6) All Nathaniel Bassey Songs.
Not a single song from this guy goes amiss. Too many songs to count but "No other God " is the cream of the crop for me. Fantastic Songs.
7). Great and Mighty God - Joe Praise
The bass guitar in this song just kills me every time.
No longer Slaves - Jonathan and Melisser Heliser
I am no longer a slave to fear, I am a child of God. Brilliant song
9) Oba Awon Oba - Frank Edwards
This is still my favourite frank Edwards song among an inexhaustible list.
10) Any song of praise I am singing with my own mouth....... ...bro you killed it, In addition: Jesus how I love you - Eben Ogene Doh- RCCG Kings Assembly Choir oh Lord my God- Samsong etc |

The world we live in is never devoid of troubles. Each waking moment presents us with one challenge or the other: some is unemployment, some child bearing, others marriage etc. but the question is how does one hold his or her peace amidst all these troubles? Or how does one (especially Christians) find joy to still live? For some of us who are already joyful about our life i.e. about our current levels of achievements: career wise, our choice of partners etc. my question is this: will you still have your joy if all these things (these achievements) are taken from you? If NO then you don’t have joy. You have what is called HAPPINESS. Sad days remind us of our humanity. It keeps us sober. It reminds us of how frail we could be. The question now is: does that mean we should go about caring long, sad, gloomy faces? Joy is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. So if you are thinking what I am thinking you will agree with me that “joy” comes from God and not material things or circumstances. That forms the basis of this write up. Since joy comes from God, will it be right to say that Christians ought to be the joyful at all times irrespective of the situation? Yes. But is that always the case? No. God counsels us in Philippians 4:4 to Rejoice in the Lord; again I say, rejoice. (AMP) The NIV version put the above verse this way: always be full of joy in the Lord. (Philip. 4:4a). “In the Lord” here implies joy that comes from the Lord. The Joy that only the Lord can give. Thank kind of Joy that comes in placing your hopes, worries, anxieties, or even the future in the Lord. HOW CAN ONE DO THESE? Remaining joyful irrespective of circumstance first entails handing over all that concerns you to God. That also implies that you are surrendering to the will and plans of GOD. is that simple? No. Sometimes, the weight of your troubles could crush your heart or even make you cry for days. Truth be told, knowing what God can do for you is one thing and believing it another. Therein lie your joy. God’s promises for us are not there for just being there. They are in the bible to keep us joyful even in the most difficult times. The joy of the lord cannot be compared to anything. And such joy can only be compared to a spring that runs irrespective of the season. God through Jesus is indeed our joy spring. “If there is no joy in being a Christian, it is because my Christianity is leaking somewhere. This joy has it spring inside me and that spring is Jesus Christ”. - a Jesuit priest You see, your joy is solely in your hands. To have joy that is full in “season” and “out-of-season” your source of joy has to be tapped to an ever reliable source. A source that is never going to dry up: Jesus is the only one with such a qualification. Let your joy come from the fact that: Jesus loves you (John 3:16) God can provide all things for you (Philippians 4:19) That God is infallible (Luke1:37). That worries cannot add weight to the solution of your problem. Mathew. 6:27 The next time you want to take a decision and still remain joyful irrespective of the outcome, then there is need for such decision to fall within the boundaries of the will of God. The will of God is the mind of God in any situation. The will of God is the Word of God. SO WHY ARE SOME OF US SAD AND LOSING SLEEP OVER OUR LIFE’S SITUATIONS? Many of us who are overly troubled over our life’s situation fall under the category of people who are yet to come to terms with God’s abilities and provisions. Ignorance of who God really is has caused more weary hearts, hearts who are reaching out for joy in all places except the joy spring. There is need for us to actively know God thoroughly. We carry our bible everyday but how often do we draw strength from the Word of God it carries. The Word interacts with our Spirit and soul in ways we cannot understand. Many times I literally get charged up after coming across a verse in the bible that speaks to me about my life situation. But how can we know if we don’t read? https://ugwuizuchukwu..com.ng/2016/05/the-joy-spring.html |
