If most people had other alternatives, then private organizations in Nigeria will fold up for lack of labour. The working conditions are appalling, the demands on you is utterly ridiculous and the pay is nothing to write home of.
But man must chop so most people will just manage. Nigeria is suffering from both unemployment and underemployment

I beg to differ from your line of thought. The problem we have in Nigeria is that we have very few people who think outside the box. China has a population of almost 2billion with enough industries to employ all. To me the population is not the problem rather our problem stems from the management of the available resources.

I've always held same opinion as you do now, but after some studies I now see that I was wrong. Do read more about China, if she hadn't introduced a birth control policy, it'd have been worse than India.
Population is never an advantage for survival when the resources are almost nonexistent or obviously limited.
Can you imagine how this country would look like if by 2020 we're 500million. More schools have to be built more graduates will be produced for the limited vacancies more joblessness more poverty more and more of everything negative

While growing up, we never knew that professions and careers that are not in JAMB brochure could make you rich ,buy exotic cars, build big houses, marry beautiful wife, have cute babies and even travel abroad at will.

They told us we have to study very hard in school to be very rich, we did but we've not been able to get just a car, a house and a beautiful wife (the footballers, the musicians and comedians who didn't go to school have more than what we do.)
They lied to us, they were the real scammers.

I like the north very Much.. But the fact that they give birth like bacteria is quite disturbing, and more disturbing is the fact that many graduate from the north still come up with an ostensibly irrational and stupid explanation to their binary fission reproductive style.
if we continue to grow at this rate with the limited resources at our disposal, we may all someday go for cannibalism as the only remedy or nature will have to do it works of unleashing myriads of disasters just to clean the earth of the homo sapiens and give chance to different species.
