Below is the health management schedule for noiler:

Day 1: Multivitamins (to ease transportation stress)
Day 2-4: Antibiotics, Multivitamins in the afternoon
Day 5-8: Anticoccidiosis, clean water in the afternoon
Day 9: Multivitamins
Day 10: LaSota vaccine (plus skimmed milk)
Day 11: Multivitamins, clean water in the afternoon
Day 12-15: Antibiotics, clean water or multivitamins depending on the weather condition
Day 16: Multivitamins
Day 17: Gumboro vaccine (plus skimmed milk)
Day 18: Multivitamins
Day 28: LaSota vaccine (plus skimmed milk)
Day 29: Clean drinking water
Day 30-33: Antiviral drug (Tyloxine based drugs)
Day 34-36: Anticoccidiosis, clean water in the afternoon
Day 37-39: Antiviral drug
Day 40: Deworm
Day 41: Multivitamins
Day 42: Clean drinking water

Note:
1.) This article is a modified medication routine for noiler which make it as a guide. It may be subjected to change based on symptoms experience in the birds.
2.) For the fact the noilers can feed on low quality feed and still do good, they are therefore prone to Coccidiosis, especially between 4 and 6 week old. It is therefore suggested that Anticoccidiosis and Antibiotic treatment should be repeated every two weeks if necessary.
3.) In the remaining days not catered for in this article, clean water, organic supplement or apparent disease treatment can be given to the birds.
4.) Second Gumboro may be given within their days before fourth week to fortify the immune system.
5.) Other advantage of noilers is that they can be subjected to partial or complete free range system after four weeks under good monitoring condition.

Noiler birds can also mature before four (4) months depending on certain factors like biosecurity, stock density, air quality, feed quantity and quality

Poor Genetic Quality

Genetic makeup or quality plays a great role in broiler chicken growth performance. Both slow-growing and fast-growing broilers pass this on to their offspring. So when you procure chicks from parent stocks that possess poor growth quality, the chicks would perform worse than their parents. That is to say; they won’t grow as desired or they will take a longer time to reach maturity or become big. Some would even be runts—they won’t grow no matter the quantity of feed and drugs given to them. Have you ever observed that some batches of broiler chicks even from the same hatchery don’t perform similarly in terms of growth? You will notice a particular batch will grow well and fast, and the next batch will grow slowly and poorly even without altering the quality and quantity given to the previous batch. This happened because of the poor genetic quality of the chicks.

What to do: The solution to this is simply ensuring that you buy your day-old broiler chicks from hatcheries with excellent records. Ask other broiler farmers for recommendations and you can check the internet for reviews. You can order for your broiler chicks online via FGM. There are reputable chicks

The greatest concern of most broiler farmers is if their broilers will attain the desired or target weight at the end of the rearing period, which usually about 2.5 kg to 3.5 kg after 8 weeks. Of course, the bigger the broilers, the higher the profits. This is the reason why farmers’ greatest desire is to raise bigger, weighty broilers. However, it is so unfortunate that many poultry farmers are unable to achieve this and this worries them a lot. As a matter of fact, most phone calls and messages I receive from farmers are around “how to make broilers to grow big.”
The experience I have had and farmers given me the opportunity to recognize some of the reasons behind the poor growth performance of broilers. A few of these reasons will be posted

Procure quality broiler chicks from reputable sources
No matter what you do or give broilers that came from a poorly performing parent stock or hatchery, they may never do well in terms of adding more weight or grow bigger. Genes have a lot to do with animals’ growth and performing. This is the reason why you must procure your broiler chicks from a reputable hatchery with excellent records.
