SHELL-LESS EGGS!!

common causes

1. Nutritional deficiencies: A lack of proper nutrition, especially a deficiency of calcium or vitamin D3, is a common cause of shell-less eggs. Calcium is a crucial component in the formation of eggshells, and its deficiency can lead to weakened or absent shells.

2. Diseases or infections: Certain diseases or infections can disrupt the normal egg-laying process and result in the formation of shell-less eggs. Poor health conditions, such as infectious bronchitis or Newcastle disease, can affect the reproductive organs and lead to abnormal egg production.

3. heat stress and other forms of heat: Environmental factors like stress or extreme heat can affect the egg-laying process. High temperatures can hinder the proper development and mineralization of the eggshells, leading to shell-less eggs.

4. Genetic Abnormalities: Sometimes, certain genetic factors or abnormalities can be responsible for the formation of shell-less eggs. These may include inherited traits or genetic disorders that affect the shell gland's ability to form or attach a shell to the egg.

5. Age of the laying birds: Young or immature hens may produce shell-less eggs initially until their reproductive systems fully mature. Similarly, older hens nearing the end of their laying cycle may experience reduced shell quality or may even produce shell-less eggs.
