Am going for undergraduate in Engineering at MUN.I am also going for undergraduate studies in MUN, got my letter for Winter 2013. I plan to submit next week. |
bumdish: The pre-paid return courier envelop is not required if you are submitting through VAC. It would not even be collected from you. Mine is constituting garbage at home. So save your money to buy some ice cream at the Ikeja mall. Thanks for the advice. |
Please can someone tell me if the pre-paid return courier envelope can be obtained at VAC office or does one need to get one from any courier office prior to submission? |
Please which high court can I get the affidavit of sponsorship done? |
talktolaranow: I'm a MUN Fall2013 hopeful.Pls what dyou mean by custodian?Custodian is required for students below the age of majority which is 19 years for Newfoundland. I am going for undergraduate program; and I got an email that my application for admission has been accepted and letter of acceptance will be sent to my permanent address. That was on 28th June, how long do you think this letter will take to get to me? |
Please I need help with getting custodian for MUN. Any suggestions? The schools suggests I submit without filling a custodian and to supply details only when I am asked by CDHC to do so. Also any MUN student/prospective student in the house? |
J20: Please is anyone going to MUN? I just got admission for Undergraduate studies and I really need some information. |

Fhemmmy: You dont pay Tuition before your letter of acceptance. The offer letter states that you have to pay deposit of one term tuition fee before the Uni can send you the acceptance letter. I am going for Undergrad. rockafela: yeah sure within three weeks your acceptance letter will be sent to you mail first, then within 12working days your full packing will be knocking at your door step...just make sure you provide them with a reachable postal address.Thanks. |
After one has paid the necessary tuition deposit, how long oes it take to receive letter of acceptance from the Uni? Can one receive it within 3 weeks? |
It is the era of good tidings and I pray it touches us all. Congratulations, Bumdish and thanks for the wonderful write up; I got a lot from it. |
bumdish: @ All, got my TRV. My profound appreciation to everyone who has been a part of the stories on this forum, The owner of Nairaland Seun, the dude who started the Travelling To Canada thread at 2:36pm, Mar 10, 2008 lao(f), Delta007, Justwise who has continued to ensure the survival of the thread, Fhemmmmy Big Brother Canada, a great deal of people who have both come and gone, and not forgetting NEWACCA, brother you indeed have the right spirit. I would do a detailed break down of the timelines and activities I undertook to get to this point shortly, hoping someone, somewhere would find it useful. As a matter of fact, I intend to demystify the process of Admission and VISA application to the best of my abilities. Once more, Thanks all.Congratulations! Good news all the way. |
bamshy: Got my TRV today. Wish us all the best. Bumdish, ebugirl, noswaa, fflowers and all applicants get set for your good news! However, we must trust in God absolutely! Fhemmmy: If that is the case, then, you are already in good hands. Thanks for the advice. |
@Fhemmmy Are you saying one must have the total sum of N5m sitting in the account six months before application date? |
Fhemmmy: Chief, they are smart enough to have been able to analyze all these your question . . . If you are planning to apply for January, i will advice if possible to just wait and chill and apply for September instead of next year and use the time to build up the account and package the application well . . . Better late than be rejected. She is not getting a loan of N5m, just for N1m to make up the N5m everyone is saying she must have in her account. She has 4m already and tuition and CAD10k living expenses comes to CAD22.7k which is less than the N4m she has in her account already. I was adviced to beef up the account and I am thinking of the best possible way to do so. BTW her total package per annum is in excess of N6m. I will also consider changing to the May 13 start date to avoid wahala. I appreciate your answers to my queries. |
Fhemmmy: It is believed that you are using your savings for your education, and they wanna see traces of how you build up the money . . Canada is a nation that knows enough about Nigerian fraud and if the account has always being seeing only 50K or 100K and one month see millions, they know what is happening, and they are used to Nigerians way of getting things done. What if the money is coming from a company's co-operative account or/and from the company as a bonus or loan? My start date is January 2013, if the transfers are made in April/May and I apply say in August will this also be seen as fraudulent? They are genuine transfers/cheques from the company. This fund stuff is what's delaying my application and I want to sort it out on time. @Dennis.cla I get the message, bro. It is a cheque payment from a company to its employer account, do you think leaving it in the account for 3 months before application will make any difference? |
I need further clarification on this bank staement and funding of account. When one's sponsor transfers all his/her funds from one account into another account, should she submit only the bank statement of the account that has the funds? Or the statement of the 2 accounts? Concerning the funding of accounts, if one adds 1m and leave in the account for a month before using the statement for application, is this a good idea? |
eo2002: @Paschal137 Congratulations am so happy for you. That is so sad but then you can reapply and with your experience and advise from the great team, you should get it. God will do it. |
