All TRV/MEDICAL awaitees, patience. spoke with d guy at the vfs office and he said they will still issue trv's from thursday, after the 26th.

iluminati: @ J20 its 201k not 210k i book one way not return. I wrote memorial and they said accommodation is full. I have book air canada to st john on 29th dec by 8.30am cos the flight from naija will arrive at 6.30am. Pls which other good link can u give me so that i can book off camp accommodation since campus accommodation is filled up.

Try the (1) MUN website, log into mymun, go to General Services Link and you will see students looking for flatmates

(2) Also on MUN website go to housing, check the off campus housing and see students looking for flat mates and landlords looking to rent houses

There are several rooms/houses available for rent on these sites but as advised by the school authority do not make any payment until you have inspected the place and checked the distance to the campus also the payment terms for utilities.

What I will advise is to book temporary accommodation in hihostel for a few days and you/your cousin can use the few days to inspect the houses/rooms available for rent. Seems very easy when reading it o. I hope it is as easy when we get there.

Aircanada to Newfoundland from Toronto depends on the time slot you are picking; mine was about $850 for return but you can check their site to select the appropriate time you want and you can book one way.
For accommodation, I applied for campus accommodation in July and I just got an offer last week. Prior to getting the offer I had checked through the MUN website, off campus housing site to see what was on offer and also the mymun.ca site to see students who were looking for flat mates. I also check through kijiji.ca. There are so many rooms to let on those sites but the school warns that it is better to inspect the property before making payment.
For temporary accommodation I got a hostel in St John's that I can stay for a day or two till the hostel opens but I may be allowed to stay before the hostels open if I arrive early but there will be no catering services till 5th Jan.

The research for flights and accommodation is even almost as tedious as the visa process.

I will definitely inform you before I leave and I have over 6 hours wait in Toronto. Enough time to lounge, look around and get excited about landing in canada.

iluminati: Royal air maroc does not fly direct to montreal you must transit thru New york city. Their flight is very small. 118 seats. There is no direct flight to canada. I have finally booked Ethiopia airline to canada on 28th Dec since their transit time is only 2 hours wait in addis ababa unlike turkish airline which is 8 hours wait. Any one going to memorial who have booked airline?

How much did Ethiopian Airline charge?
I am going to Memorial and I booked KLM to Toronto and Air Canada from Toronto to St John's. I did return and the cost is crazy, 473k.

I am also heading to MUN; I plan to travel 1st Jan. The best option is KLM to Toronto and then Air Canada to NL but if one has transit visa to US then United is cheaper.
Perhaps we should relate more on this so I can travel same date with your cousin.

I was not asked to make any payment.
It has been suggested that GTB, Zenith and First Bank are the best option. I am going to use Standard Chartered Bank.
Check your school website and contact them to give you their details. You can pay through bank transfer, bank draft (slow process) or use credit/debit card.

Relax bros. The medical call will come. A friend of mine who used an agent submitted about 17th July was called for medicals last week, 15th Nov.
There is no need to worry, just keep praying and keep tracking. God will do it.

I am going for undergrad, the closing balance was about N4.2m and monthly pay average of 450k.

I submitted my application on 30th July and did my medicals on 1st November and re-submitted on 2nd Nov. My status changed on Friday, 16th Nov but was askd by VAC to come back today to collect that it was not with them yet.
