Bednis do not have the luxury to choose their course of life and without their consent, the males of the family and the men of the society even go on to an extent of determining and setting up of ‘Sardhakai’ which is the ritual that marks the beginning of a Bedni’s life into prostitution.

My friend's 10 year Marriage is about to collapse.

His, my friend's genotype is AA and his wife's genotype is AS but their 4 year old daughter has been confirmed to have SS genotype by not less than 4 different medical experts. He confronted the wife and accused her of infidelity but she vehemently denied having any affair with another man. In other to prove her wrong, my friend subjected the little girl to a paternity test and there he got the shock of his life - the result showed he actually is the father of the girl. At first he accused the doctor of compromise because he is their family doctor and somehow relates to the wife. He then decided to go to another hospital to prove the paternity of the girl child there and then he got another shocker - the first result was actually correct. As It stands, my friend has consulted more than five other doctors outside the state of his residence and all Confirmed that the girl's genotype is SS and he actually is the father of the child despite his and the wife's genotype being as stated above. Even the doctor's are confused by the results as it negate conventional medical norm.

My question now is, experts in the house, is there anything that can lead to such unconventional biological flaw? Under what condition can AS and AA couple have an SS child? Can mutation lead to such condition? My friend insists on divorce because he doesn't believe the wife. Should he go ahead based on what we all know about genotype?

My both parents have AA genotype, when I was about to go to secondary sch my test result confirmed I was AA, 6years later, when I did medicals in uniport, the result came out AS I told dem it was wrong, I called my dad and he said it can't be possible, but I hv gone to 3 other hospitals and all results came back AS. So my dear I am still confuse but now I believe Anything is possible. Google gave me some answers though, now I knw abt th AA, AS, SS, AC, SC, and CC genotypes and possiblitity in changes. SS genotype can be changed though but the process is expensive. Your friend should accept the situation and find solution by doing researches instead of pointing fingers! A kindergarten teacher has decided to let her class play a game.
The teacher told each child in the class to bring along a plastic bag containing a few potatoes.

Each potato will be given a name of a person that the child hates,
So the number of potatoes that a child will put in his/her plastic bag will depend on the number of people he/she hates.

So when the day came, every child brought some potatoes with the name of the people he/she hated. Some had 2 potatoes; some 3 while some up to 5 potatoes.

The teacher then told the children to carry with them the potatoes in the plastic bag wherever they go (even to the toilet) for 1 week.

Days after days passed by, and the children started to complain due to the unpleasant smell let out by the rotten potatoes. Besides, those having 5 potatoes also had to carry heavier bags.
After 1 week, the children were relieved because the game had finally ended.
The teacher asked: "How did you feel while carrying the potatoes with you for 1 week?" The children let out their frustrations and started complaining of the trouble that they had to go through having to carry the heavy and smelly potatoes wherever they go.

Then the teacher told them the hidden meaning behind the game.

The teacher said: "This is exactly the situation when you carry your hatred for somebody inside your heart. The stench of hatred will contaminate your heart and you will carry it with you wherever you go. If you cannot tolerate the smell of rotten potatoes for just 1 week, can you imagine what is it like to have the stench of hatred in your heart for your lifetime"

Moral of the story: Throw away any hatred for anyone from your heart so that you will not carry sins for a lifetime. Forgiving others is the best attitude to take !

Mukul asks RAtna why she is so frightened. Ratna tells him that she is in love with a boy named Chandan, and also tells Mukul that he should not marry her. Although Mukul does not like it, he says that he would still like to marry her. Ratna gets impressed. Mukul is desperate to get married to Ratna since he and Raghuvendra are greedy for using Loha Singh's money and power. Laali finds the girl whom Mukul had tried to rape. Laali convinces the girl to come along with her. Mukul's brother follows Laali and calls up Mukul to inform him that Laali is with the girl. Mukul asks his brother to kill the girl as well as the Laali. Mukul's brother and his men are unable to catch Laali and the girl since they manage to hide in time. Laali and the girl hide in the dickey when Mukul and his brother return in the car. They manage to reach Loha Singh's mansion safely. Laali asks the girl to expose Mukul's character in front of everyone.

Laali announces before everyone that they shouldn't get Ratna married to a monster like Mukul. Although Mukul is petrified, he discards Laali's story. Laali then brings the girl whom Mukul had tried to rape. She asks the girl to tell the truth but to Laali's utter dismay, the girl says that Mukul is not the person who had tried to rape her. She leaves. Laali is dumbfounded. Loha asked Laali to leave. Mukul creates a false story saying that he loved a girl named Ketaki but he left her when he came to know that she was only greedy for his money. He adds that Ketaki must have bribed the girl in order to cancel his marriage with Ratna. Loha accepts Mukul's story but Shekhar points out that if Ketaki had bribed the girl, why was Laali interfering in the matter. Mukul is petrified.

Mukul tells Shekhar and Loha Singh that they can inquire about his past and take their time to decide if they want to get Ratna married to him. Loha warns Shekhar that if Ratna does not get married to Mukul, Laali will be in big trouble. Laali meets the girl whom Mukul had tried to rape. The girl confesses that she couldn't gather the courage to speak against a powerful man like Mukul. Ratna begs forgiveness from Mukul saying that Laali being a servant should not have spoken such things about him. Mukul says that Laali is Shekhar's wife and not a servant. He tells Ratna that he loves her very much and wants to marry her. Shekhar overhears Ratna telling Sumitra that if her marriage with Mukul is cancelled, there will be major problems.

The show starts where the camera slowly goes through the streets and comes to a house that has a board saying ‘Saheba Weds Ranveer’ and as the camera enters inside a Punjabi house, someone is shown sleeping and the husband gets out of the room quietly and another lady sleeping outside hits him. He slowly goes to the room and wakes up his daughter saying Saheba betha, wake up and as the person removes the blanket, its not Saheba but his other daughter. The father says Saheba is getting married in another two days and I thought of seeing her with love during the last days. The daughter says she thought the same. The father says what? The daughter says she has woke up and left in the morning itself. Saheba is shown going through the town on a cycle and Saheba is an active lady and she runs around and plays feeling happy doing things like playing in the river, plucking mangoes. Someone is throwing water balloon on everyone’s faces as they are sleeping and they say Saheba, we are coming. All of them are cycling together with Saheba and teasing her that she woke up so early to go to the Gurdwara to meet Ranveer. At the Gurdwara, Daljeet is shown cleaning the stairs and as he pushes the water away, it splashes on Saheba’s face. Saheba’s face is finally revealed where she wipes her face and shouts in anger, but Daljeet didn’t hear and walks away. Saheba enters the Gurdwara and prays while Daljeet is still doing other works in the Gurdwara and Daljeet is a very nice and respect the elders. A small boy calls Daljeet to come and faster pray while Daljeet says that God gives everything without asking, what else is there to be asked for? Saheba goes to a tree and ties a string and says you know what is my dream right? Its to be with Ranveer and she takes out a long list of request to be made. Another house is shown where an elderly man comes and asks where is Ranveer? The man says my son is inside. Ranveer is shown applying hair gel for his hair and is stylish. The father uses tooth paste and asks his wife to cook for him macaroni and Ranveer leaves since its getting late for him and does all the stunts on his motorbike. Ranveer runs into a garden of Sunflowers (this scene reminded me of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge) and he shouts I'm here! An airplane is shown going above him and Ranveer looks at the plane and Ranveer is shown. Ranveer says leave me and go but I will seat in you and go to London one day. A passerby sees Ranveer talking and thinks he is talking to the crows that is passing by. At the Gurdwara, Saheba’s friends are calling her since it was getting late. As Saheba leaves, a strong wind blows and the string that Saheba tied on the tree is almost coming out and Daljeet goes and ties it tight. The small boy says, "I thought you said you would not request for anything?" Daljeet says, "its not for me but for someone else." He says please fulfil her wishes and prays. Next, a festival is shown where there is a competition among the tractors and an Emoty tractor is shown and one of them asks where has Ranveer gone. Another guy says, "he is busy seeing his dream to go to London." As Daljeet passes by and a few girls says he is a sweet guy and when Ranveer passes by, they say he is cute and Saheba is really lucky. The competition is about to start and on a count of 3.. 2.. and 1, Ranveer runs fast towards the tractor and the tractor starts moving and Ranveer says stop my tractor and its shown that Saheba is driving the tractor. Ranveer’s tractor manage to be the first and Ranveer goes to see who is it and its Saheba. Both of them look at each another and recalls their sweet memories together. Saheba then starts running and Ranveer holds her hands, they both start arguing and Ranveer pulls Saheba into his arms and says, "your heart belongs to me." Then an announcement comes that Ranveer has to come and collect the cash as his rewards for winning the competition. Ranveer goes and collect his cash while his friends teases him that it was not him who won the contest and Ranveer goes to Saheba, and they start arguing again. As Ranveer and Saheba is talking, Ranveer sees an agent and goes to talk to him while a few other guys are talking to him. The agent asks Ranveer to go back home and they shall speak later. Daljeet arrives at the festival, he is looking for Saheba and goes pass her without seeing her. Two guys suddenly start having arguments in the festival and as one of them takes a gun and shoots in the air, it hits a string and a canopy which Saheba is standing under is about to collapse where Daljeet sees this and goes to save Saheba. As a few people comes and lift the canopy up, Daljeet stands up with Saheba fainted in his arms. Daljeet looks at Sahiba and Tere Naal La Laiya song plays.

Daljeet is still carrying Saheba in his arms, she is looking pretty, he carries her neara khat (desi bed) and sets her down. Everyone present in mela gather, her friends also gather, they shout her name and try to wake her up. Daljeet then says to get water, but no one answers so he himself goes to get water just then Ranveer comes running pushing the crowd he comes near Saheba, he shouts, "Saheba get up, Saheba get up." She doesn't respond. He takes her in his arms and leaves. The crowd also disappears and then Daljeet comes with glass of water but Saheba has gone. Ranveer sitting near Saheba's mom, he his sitting by bending his knees, Saheba's chachi gives her water to drink and her mom is patting her head, granny sitting on a chair, she is beating the stick on the floor. She is angry because Saheba has gone to mela without telling her, she is scolding everyone. Saheba's dad tries to answer but granny makes him be quite. Granny says, I had told you to let her study, you said no I want to get her married after two days, her marriage is there and she is going out, I'm warning now that for forty eight hours she wont go out of house. Saheba acts as if she is crying and goes away. Saheba's dad says, "now I need to pacify her," and goes behind her calling her name. Her dad comes and knocks on the door he says, "Saheba open, I'm alone, no one is here." Saheba opens and he gets in. He says, "what did you do?" Then both of them laugh. He says, "you won tractor race?" Saheba gets excited, she says, "yes dad and you know I pushed one guy's tractor in khet (farm), he was acting too smart na that's why. Saheba's dad says, "lets celebrate." Saheba asks how, he says by eating ladoo and both say cheers and feed each other ladoo. Saheba then goes to drink water she gives water to him also and says, "Thanks dad because of you I learnt tractor, you took me to khet when I was small, you called me son. Saheba's dad says, I was selfish, I couldn't digest the fact that you will leave me and go, that's why I called you son. Then there is an emotional hug. Daljeet teaching the kids on the street, He made the balloon fly (it's air balloon). He says, "I lit the fire so the heat became light weight and it flew. Just then a small kid says, "Sir will you teach on holiday, he says yup and says, "nothing will lessen if you study today," and asks the kids they all say we want to study. Daljeet's mom says, "come Daljeet have food. Daljeet's younger bro is shown, He is sleeping, his bhabhi (wife) is introduced she is feeding almond to her husband and finally Daljeet's dad. All the kids come and say hello to his dad, they all sit to study in the corner of the house. Daljeet's mom says to Daljeet, "You sit I will get food." and his bhabhi offers him almond but he refuses, finally he has his food, just then a girl enters, she is trying to impress Daljeet but Daljeet saves himself and runs away from there. Ranveer reading a book London goes east, his mom comes and asks help, but he is engrossed in London book. Just then power goes and he goes to terrace. His mom tells him to stop dreaming, but he is adamant he says, "I will go to London." He also goes to meet the guy who is going to arrange everything. After much ado Saheba's granny forgives her and they hug.

Daljeet entering his house and his neighbor babli (girl) comes to trouble him again Daljeet asks, "what are you doing here?' she says, "I got towel for you." He says, "Keep it and go it's too late now". She goes then Daljeet's mom enters and tells him to have food and he asks about his fathers health. Ranveer enters her room's and both sneak out Saheba says, "Why are you here so late night?" He says, "I want to confess." She asks what and he says, "I didn’t save you in the mela. Saheba says, "Then why did you lie?" Then there are few romantic nok jhok between them and finally Ranveer says, "I am sorry for lying." Saheba then says, "I just want to live with you that’s my dream," and she looks at the sky. Ranveer comes and hugs her from back, and she says, "it feels so nice." Ranveer says, "I will sit in aero plane and go through stars one day." Saheba says, "It will be so nice that after our marriage we go to London we can celebrate my birthday also there." Ranveer says, "There's a famous place there, we will cut the cake there." Saheba says, "You haven’t gone and already you're dreaming." He says, "One day it will be true, I will shout from there happy birthday Saheba!" (sound echo's) then they hug and then Saheba sees a breaking star, they both wish. Mehendi function preps are going on Saheba's granny is ordering everyone. There's small talk between sisters and her sister says, "I am making tea from morning I'm tired. Saheba says, "Do for me sister, you're just going to go in nearby lane." She says, "You give me some nishani so that I remember you, like mobile or choodi. Saheba says, "I am going only nearby." Then Saheba gives her a mobile phone and hugs her. Just then, a video maker comes. Saheba instructs him about how she wants her mehendi video and he agrees. Her buji says her mnehendi wali (palm writer) is not coming she is ill. Saheba gets sad and she shouts, "No mehendi function is happening," but her mom says simple can put mehendi. Buji says her name is simple she will apply Arabic mehendi. Saheba gets angry, she tells her mom, "You apply mehendi from her," and goes away. The Principle is scolding kids and the boy who calls him sirjee is standing on bench holding his ears, he says, "We're the future of this country." Daljeet enters surprised, and says, "No Good morning and sastriyakal, and direct comment on future of the country?" He tells them to sit down then a boy says, "I don’t want to study today." Daljeet says, "Then why are you here?" He says, Nobody was paying attention to me at home so I am here, teacher, if you don't teach, I will give you a gift," and gives him a fan. Daljeet says, "You all want to learn how to make this?" Everyone nods and Daljeet teaches them. All of them go out to fly it and Daljeet sees Saheba in the school's veranda jumping. Kids are going around her with the fans. He is still then Jeet comes and says sirjee school is over, and another boy says, "You had promised you will leave me home. Daljeet says, "Yup let's go." Buji comes and tries to convince her to apply mehendi from simple. Saheba disagrees she says, Tell granny mehendi is cancelled, buji go." Buji goes away. Ranveer calls, he says, "Stop crying." Saheba says, "You are worrying about me don’t act." He says, "Don’t cry, I have sent a girl from Chandigarh she will apply mehendi." She says thanks and there is lovey dovey talk between them. He says, "The girl has another gift, it's a night gown, wear it on SR." Saheba and Buji comes and says wow! total mood change and they all go down. Jeet says, "I'm in love." Daljeet says, "In this your age?" Jeet then tell him all the symbolism of love. Another boy says, "I also had some strange feeling when I drank 6 glass of lassi. Jeet says shut up and then Daljeet says, "I am also having these symptoms (flash back is shown where he is carrying Saheba in his arms). Jeet says, "sirjee you're in love" (bg ni me chori chori). mehendi ceremony is in full swing, every one is dancing and enjoying. Same is happening at Ranveer's house. Some leg pulling is also going on and finally Ranveer receives the call and is shocked.

DESTINY

The episode starts off with Lakshmi's shocked expression, the girl that Lakshmi saw at the Mandir, when asked by her to tell everyone the truth, lies that Lakshmi has made a mistake. The girl says that Lakshmi made her come here as she would never want to break some ones marriage. Surikyant, Lakshmi's papa yells at her and tells her that, "You have ruined the reputation of our family and shall be punished." When he is about to slap her, Menka intercedes and says "she is only a kid"? (like you really care). Surikyant interrupts, saying that treating her like a kid is no excuse(she has become spoilt). Then the groom to be interrupts and says, "please let it be she is only a kid, and I have no problems." His Papa says, "keeping control on kids is important especially girls," and the groom mother adds, "I hope your other daughters are not like this, especially Sarsvati. Since all we want is a simple girl with good values." The groom to be says to his soon to be father-in law, "please let it be and lets start with the rasam (shaghi/engagement). All stare, and Lakshmi's papa says to her "You will go to your room and not attend your sister's engagement and no one will accompany her." (we see Lakshmi going to her room upset), and then they continue with the shaghi/engagement. The guy who likes sarsvati stares and his upset as rings are exchanged. A sad Lakshmi stares from the balcony as the rings are exchanged. After the engagements, her sisters all go looking for her. Durga and Gauri say, "there you are, we have been searching for you all over." She cries, "I was unable to do anything .I could not help my sister out." We see the guy who likes Sarsvati approach and about to tell her something, such as he loves her, however, before he is able to say anything she runs away. He leaves and bumps into Menka, and she asks what is he doing here? He shocked, says nothing. Menka thinks something is not right. Sarsvati goes to Lakshmi and says, "do not cry nor worry. I'm ok with the marriage and for parivar's (family's) sake will marry him. Their mom is upset too yet helpless.We see Sarsvati's groom to be pay the girl off and tell her she better never tell anything regarding him and her. The girl says money is not issue, that she wants him too. He says forget that. Savriti is praying to have raksha on her daughter and that she have happy life, live with love at in her in-laws and not just SCARFICE. Her mother in law comes and taunts her that she has not raised the girls well so why cry over spilt milk? We see Sarsvati consoling her mom and saying that it will be ok and that since parivar is happy she is happy for this marriage.

Lakshmi is saying to Durga and Gauri that she will go and apologize to her papa for the sake of her sister Sarsvati and mother Savriti). Her sister tell her to wait since their papa might still be mad, and wait till the tomorrow since its her birthday, Lakshmi says that other than u and mom no one has ever celebrated her birthday , but they tell her that tomorrow is Yuvraj's birthday too and that papa will be in a good mood. Lakshmi after some time agrees. They all hug then. Now we see Menka giving milk to her husband and him saying its cold and she says, "yes but your anger is hot." She tells him to forget what Lakshmi has done, he says, "he more you say the more angry I get yet ok, you seem to care a lot about her. (Menka overplays this we all know that she is anything but sweet). Later they talk about Yuvraj's birthday and Surikyant is happy and says, "we are lucky to have Yuvraj he was a blessing." The next day we see Savriti cooking and Yuvraj enters the scene and says, "maar maa (step mom) what are you making?" He sees that she is making pooris, and other stuff with ghee(oil), and says, "I can't eat this it's oily and all." She just stares and smiles, then he sweetly, asks who is this all being made for? She says Sarsvati likes it and others. He says, "oh wow that's nice that this is for my sis, after all she is getting married soon." Savriti than says that, "I can also make what you like as well." He then says, "no need since you have made so much for everyone," and goes away. (I'm still not sure if Yuvraj is nice or not he is in between personality, Confused!). WE see that all the dishes are laid out. Hasmugh (halkibehen's husband) says, "wow! the meal is great and that sweet dish looks yummy, I'm sure it's not made by my wife. She glances at him and he says, "Did I say something?" We see the girls enter and when they see the dishes they know its Sarsvati's favorite and smile. Then the rest of the members join. As all members start to eat, we see the servant bring Yuvraj a box (its Pizza). Surikyant says, "what's this, why are you eating that?" Yuvraj says he felt like having pizza. His papa says why? "It's been long since you had a home made meal." Yuvraj says the meal has ghee in it. Surikyant says, "didn't anyone ask you what you wanted?" we see Savriti's face go pale. Surikyant repeats the question and Menka etc smiles, (I totally don't understand Menka's expressions I'm sure her smile is wicked as all her expressions though). Savriti then says, it was for Sarsvati. Surikyant gets upset, and leaves the table, however, Yuvraj says, "actually I told maari maa to make for Sarsvati. Surikyant says, "please do not lie, I know all to well." Savriti leaves in tears. Yuvraj says, "please for my sake papa eat." He returns to the table and all sit down to eat. We see the daughters bring food for their mother in her room and beg her to eat, she says not hungry. Sarsvati says for my sake please, and mom says ok later. Yuvraj enters and says maari maa "I'm sorry I got you into trouble with papa. I didn't know he would make such a big issue out of this." She says no need to say sorry and he says, You must eat for my sake." She agrees, all our happy. Later we see Gauri wake up Lakshmi and tell her papa want to see her, She is shocked and asks why? Gauri says not sure but has been shouting for a while now. Lakshmi gets out of bed and heads to papa's room. As she goes into hallway which is dim she see the lights slowly turn on and its a cake that her three sister present her with. Lakshmi smiles and cuts the cake. All four sisters are hugging.

Everyone downstairs in the living room and happy. Yuvraj is seeking blessings as it's his birthday. Maari Maa does arti (places thilak and all.) Then Menka does some weird arti with her hands and all. He asks, "Mom what are you doing?" She says quiet and continues, she later tells him to touch each thali which he does. He again asks, "mom what's all this?" She says that she making sure no evil eye is cast on her son (boori nazar na lak jaya), since nowadays you can't trust anyone. (hinting at Savriti's daughters). Halki says that nowadays even your own might cast an evil eye. (again refering to the girls), to which her husband says that yes even his wifes nazar, and one should have a lemon and pepper in ones hand to ward off evil. (she nudges him) and he says, "Have I said something?" Lakshmi is upset a little that no one is thinking that its her birthday too yet stays quiet, Gauri holds her hand. Menka and Yuvraj's grand mother then tell the servants to distribute the thalis that Yuvraj touched, having sweets and so on to the poor people and the orphans. Yuvraj is puzzled at all the rituals. Hasmukh says that you are only son after four daughters which is why these rituals are going on. His grandmother (baa) says, "until you were brought into this world our house only had tension. The whole house is decorated for Yuvraj's party and Surikyant is hugging Yuvraj. Surikyant introduces Yuvraj to the guests and everyone wishes him and gives him gifts and all pinch his cheeks. Yuvraj's good friends enters the scene and Yuvraj introduces him to his papa. His friend refers to him as Yuvi (nick name) and Surikyant asks him what's Yuvi? Yuvraj says it's a pet name his friends have for him. His grandmother tells Menka, "look at how happy everyone is and it's because you gave the house a son Yuvraj. More guests come and greet Yuvraj. His friends ask if it is a tradition that everyone pulls his cheeks, Yuvraj says with a look of no idea. Sarsvati and the guy who likes her keeps staring at each other. Some gifts drop so she leaves her sisters and goes to pick them up and the guy who likes her comes over to help and she asks him if everything is ready for the party and he says yes, then she goes away. Durga tells Savitri that, "the house is looking very beautiful. If only this was for Lakshmi." Lakshmi says, "you all gave me such a nice surprise party that is more than any grand affair," and all sisters hug. The cake is brought in and all are excited, Surkyant requests all to come around for the cake cutting. Yuvraj's sisters also come, and Menka asks the servant where the knife and candles for the cake is? He says, "I'm sorry". Menka turns to Sarsvati never mind and says, "Sarsvati please get the candles and knife." So Sarsvati goes to get it. Sarsvati as she is returning from the kitchen is stopped by the guy who likes her. She says, "Kshiti, it's you. I have to go." He says, "I want to tell you something." She says, "no I don't want to hear anything." He holds her hand and tell her that, "if I don't tell you now, I will never tell you." Menka is getting upset and says to her brother (Rasik) that these girls are useless. Her brother says, "relax they will soon leave." Sarsvati is telling Kshiti that she is not interested in him and does not love him and more so she is engaged now so its pointless. We hear music of kal ho na ho, and Kshiti (loverboy) begging her to please give him the opportunity, "I loved you since we were kids." She says, "I cant and please let me go." He does and she walks away. As Sarsvati is returning inside where the party is she runs into someone (we don't know who since not shown), and she drops the knife and candles. The show ends with her shocked expression.

Dear friend, Please be informed of an impending security exercise tagged “SHOW OF FORCE” by government security agencies across the country.
Exercise is being carried out as part of efforts to ensure maximum security before, during and after the forthcoming general elections.

Thus, kindly find below important information and security tips.

1. As at today, the Nigeria Police Force and other relevant security agencies have been put on high alert and they are expected to conduct periodic and random searches on people, vehicles and various hotspots. Thus, we are therefore advised to cooperate with them during this period; do not abuse security agents, obstruct their work, or resist them unnecessarily to avoid unfortunate repercussions. We have been informed that the Show of Force exercise also authorizes a Shoot-at-Sight order, if necessary

2. There will be restricted movement of people in the hours leading to, and during the March 28th Presidential elections and April 11th Gubernatorial elections. Thus, we are advised to observe and comply with these directives for our personal safety

3. We are advised to adequately stock our homes with required food items during the election period, in case of emergencies, imposed curfews or other threats that may arise after the elections

4. If you are registered to vote and have your Permanent Voters Card, you are advised to go early to the Polling Centers, get accredited, cast your votes and leave the vicinity immediately for your homes to await the results

5. Please do not cluster around polling centers and stay away from groups and bunch of people, no matter the discussion or incident that may have attracted them together

6. Begin now to gather information about your environment and feel the pulse around your intended voting center. Study your polling unit, and if it's packed with miscreants, thugs and unknown faces, steer clear; remember that your life matters more than the vote

7. Dress responsibly and avoid adorning any political attire, party logos etc. to prevent mistaken identity and possible victimization. Please remember that no campaign is allowed during elections. Avoid wearing politically branded T shirts, caps or bearing handbills, posters, pamphlets and banners of candidates. This can pose as a risk.

8. Avoid joining in on inciting discussions at the voting center which may be capable of fanning the embers of political discord amongst the political parties and their agents

9. Stay away from parked cars and abandoned packages, luggage etc.

10. Do not buy drinks, snacks, etc. around polling centers, nor should you share/receive consumables or gifts from anyone at the polling centers. If you sense danger or suspect any foul play, report to the approved Security Agents. Don’t take the law into your own hands!

11. Avoid taking your vehicle, kids or expensive jewelries and other personal belongings to the polling centers

12. As part of security arrangements, church halls should be vacated after every church service within 1 hour. Brethren should not be allowed to hang or cluster around the church hall or entrances after services or programs

13. Vehicles should not be allowed to park close to the entrances of the church facilities for pick up or drop off
You are encouraged to be extra-vigilant and law-abiding during this period.
