The declaration was the culmination of a years-long campaign by West to get added to the magazine’s annual Billionaires List, Forbes reported Friday. Oyo State Government, on Wednesday, released a number and a service code for pre-COVID-19 screening in the state.

It urged residents to dial the code or the number and follow the procedure to determine whether or not they need to get tested for the novel Coronavirus.

The platform for the service code and number, which were both donated by Interswitch, are: (service code) *723*19*6#; and (number) 014400028.

Taiwo Adisa, Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor, Seyi Makinde, in a statement, noted that the number and service code platforms offer preliminary screening opportunities to determine who needs to get tested for COVID-19.

The statement added that the two platforms, which offer services in English, Yoruba and Pidgin English, can also be used to report a suspected COVID-19 case.

“The Oyo State Government has gone a step further in its fight against the novel Coronavirus. The Oyo State Task Force on COVID-19 has introduced the deployment of technology in its fight against the virus by introducing a service code and a phone number.

The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, has revealed that he has denied five governors flight approval, since the closure of the airports and the lockdown order by President Muhammadu Buhari to curb the COVID-19 outbreak.

According to Sirika, three out of the four governors are members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Two of the governors are from the South-east, two from South-south, while one was from North-central.

Sirika disclosed this in Abuja on Tuesday, at the daily press briefing by members of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.

Zamfara State government has extended the lockdown of land borders and stay-at-home order by two weeks, effective from April 11 to April 24.

The Secretary to the State Government, Bala Maru, in a press statement, said the extension follows the current increase in the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria.

The statement further said that the pandemic that is ravaging the world is also affecting the neighboring states of Kaduna and Katsina, which makes the extension necessary.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has said the ongoing lockdown in the state might be extended beyond 14 days depending on the situation of things.

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state and former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose, has tested negative for COVID-19.
