I get your point but i gotta say that i agree with Souless on the 'over-doin' thingy. First of all, Nigeria as a country is already inferior to Western countries such as the US. I got a question, a rhetorical one. Those Americans in Nigeria, do u see any of 'em workin' in petty jobs?? Read and hear things in your language in english (like you read "nisisinyi emi aini ishura lo" and think to yourself "i need to go to the store now"). Observe their cadence and inflections, and try to pick up american and british dialects from TV and interactions to have better idea of oral syntax and inunciation so you don't sound awkward.
