In my opinion... what the op is insinuating is terrible tribalism, backwardness and highly disgusting. (no insults) To suggest openly that Yoruba states shouldn't have voted for the best interest of themselves and the country but to vote for Jonathan in order to support SS/SE ? What logical reasoning allows such thoughts? In the future, when the SE manages to present an Igbo presidential candidate on a major party ticket is this what the campaign would be about? Vote for him to support the SE? Please Igbos should stop doing this to themselves. All this tribal and ethnic sentimental talk is working against you. |
Its Official now.. Wasn't doubting though. Just wanted it Official. Congratulations to: a. Nigerians b. Rtd. General Muhammadu Buhari, (President Elect) c. Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (Vice-President Elect) d. APC for being the winning team in the recently concluded presidential election. As a staunch progressive, I'm looking forward to a Nigeria with minimum public mediocrity, corruption, nepotism, tribalism, religious intolerance and incompetence. |
Gbawe:Sounds like I'm whining, but I've got concerns. Going from the experience on March 28, most of the SS/SE did not use the card readers. They opted for manual accreditation claiming the card reader wasn't functioning. As we know, indeed there were some issue with card readers across the country. For a state like Delta, the total accredited voters was about 90% of the collected PVC. About 90% voted for PDP. Its also noteworthy that Delta state was among the last states to present results. One wonders what they were doing for 2 days (manufacturing votes?)Indeed, the card reader would checkmate massive rigging, however with its performance in elections so far, the option for manual accreditation opens opportunities for rigging as we've seen in previous years. For any chance of credible elections on April 11, Jega must address the card reader inefficiencies. Hence reduce the reliance on manual accreditation that supports rigging. |
Just as Obansanjo probed General Buhari and cleared his name of all fraud allegations, it would be beneficial to President Jonathan if someone of incorruptible character such as General Buhari initiates a probe on him and his wife Patience Jonathan. Such a probe would help clear the rumors about President Jonathan's Government and increase his chances for a honorable national award towards the progress of democracy in Nigeria. Its all for democracy.. ![]() Sai Buhari! |
Gbawe:SS/SE and Nigeria at large should show concern about the trend in SS/SE states that delayed election results. The fact that there was 80-90% voter turnout when the average across the NE/NW/SW & NC was 50% begs the question of what happened? The people that protested, are they part of that 80-90%? The fact that electoral observers were not allowed to witness the election result collation is also worrisome. There is no guarantee the trend won't repeat for the governorship election. There's only so much General Buhari can do after the fact. As we know, tribunal business is tedious business that isn't always fair. |
@ Goddex Why don't you seek facts than spread rumors? As it stands, from your comment this is a hearsay with no substantiated proof, its as good as a lie. Since its your word (or hearsay), the onus is on you to add substance to your comment. - First a picture of the mansion "in Maitama District of Abuja" that it exists. An address would also help to verify ownership. - Next proof that Buhari lives in it. - Lastly proof that he owns it. Your attempt holds no water. This is just another bad attempt at slander. Its interesting that all allegations against Buhari follow this trend, hearsay with no proof. .. Something I hope your willing to change. By the way, Buhari ain't my master, I'm simply a supporter who stands for the truth. Goddex: Tam David West is a big liar for telling us on the last paragraph that Buhari does not have a house in Abuja and sleeps in a hotel whenever he visits Abuja. It is common these days for every of Buhari's agent to lie to Nigerians all in a bid to make their master look good. |

I can think of some... For the citizens.. * Discriminate tribalism (It shouldn't be tolerated in any form when discussing politics) * Discriminate nepotism (Meritocracy should be the peoples choice) * Demand accountability (Government agencies must publish their audits. This would be a yardstick for the public to compare the financial input and developmental output) For the politicians.. * Impose and enforce severe laws for all forms of political corruption (50 years - life jail terms) * Remove the immunity clause for official related charges * Implement a true federal government (At least reduce the power at the center) * Enable sustainable resource control (This will go a long way to reduce tribalism in politics since it will curb the blame game) .. My opinion |
I detest Marginalization true. However, the numbers do not justify labeling Buhari a core tribalist. If you hate him for this alone then its understandable. You'd probably hate the current president too. This is how I see it, going by the report if true: Did Buhari utilize the PTF funds for its purpose? - yes Did all regional zones gain from the PTF project? - yes Did all regional zones gain equally? - No I don't see how this makes him a tribalist. It does show that he did favor the north though. Sunny_bobo: I hate Buhari because he is a core tribalist as exemplified below; |
I ain't apologetic, but lets set things straight. Are you insinuating that the current practice of kidnapping for financial extortion is Buhari's fault? An attempt was made to kidnap Dikko - Yes For what reason? - To face corruption or treason charges? If so, I find it applaudable that the government would go through such length to ensure nobody escapes justice. Remember this wasn't democracy. In my opinion, ensuring justice is served is a plus for Buhari's military government. Its a sign of resolve. Sunny_bobo: He introduced kidnapping into Nigeria by attempting to kidnap Umaru Dikko from the United Kingdom as shown in the video below; |
Well, its your opinion and your definitely entitled to it. For folks who reason logically, before you label Buhari as BH, you'd at least have proof. Its notable that Ruben Abati was sued for inferring this. http://www.informationng.com/2013/01/libel-suit-presidency-buhari-reach-out-of-court-settlement-on-abati-article.html In reality, if elections are free and fair, the electorates would decide if Buhari will be president. EzeJustme: Buhari will not rule Nigeria again datz all, Buhari na BH |
Religious and tribal bigotry has beclouded the minds of a lot of Nigerians. People with bigoted tribal affiliation aren't interested in the truth about Buhari, perhaps they prefer spreading rumors. I believe some are actually paid to perpetuate slander. Unfortunately, for gullible folks who fail to see through the character assassination attacks on Buhari's person, its easy to decieve them that Buhari is the bane of Nigeria's woes. That being said... I stand for the truth and sustainable development I'm an ardent supporter of Buhari because I believe he has the will and ability to change Nigeria if given the chance. His antecedents as Head of State and PTF chief speaks volumes of his will and ability. He's continuous call for free and fair election says a lot about he's willingness to be democratic. Only bigots and haters would oppose that he's simply incorruptible. 4 things I'd love to see a president focus on * Curbing corruption : Only someone like Buhari with a clean record can fight it because corruption fights back. Reduce corruption and a lot of societal norms will fall in place. # Real growth and development that the people would feel. * Implementing democratic discipline : Take a cue from what Nigeria was when WAI (War Against Indiscipline) was active. Nigeria needs sanity. Nigerians need enforced laws that discriminate indiscipline. I laud Fashola's progress on this subject. * Education : Gross ignorance is killing Nigerians. To be successful in a democratic system, we need educated citizens that can reason logically with minimum sentiments. A good move would be a form of free education backed with programs to encourage youths to get educated. * Implementing true federalism : Simply put, the current federal system isn't sustainable. My 2 cents.. |

bestinfo:@bestinfo My initial offer for the whole package is stated above -> N120k . I believe Its quite easy to test the Buc and LNB, all you need is to point the dish at a ku satellite e.g IS1r and to test the modem, simply log into it via telnet and check that its locked to the satellite. It'll be easier if you have a site already locked to a ku satellite, you just swap the Feed horn assembly to test the BUC + LNB, then swap the linkstar modem to test the modem. You won't be able to browse, but when you telnet into the modem, you'll be able to determine if its locked to the satellite which means its functioning properly. This will save the stress of pointing the dish. If your interested, name your own offer, let's negotiate. agentjude:@agentjude Like your offer, but it won't do for the BUC & LNB. Since the BUC and LNB had been used, you should understand that the feedhorn, BUC and LNB have already been assembled. I'm not too sure about disassembling it, so It has to go altogether. Also, selling the BUC and LNB renders the feedhorn useless. I have absolutely no use for the feedhorn. Since you've made an offer (25k), I say you beef it up a little to 40k and we have a deal. What you say? |
@agentjude The 2W BUC + LNB + Feedhorn will go for N50k. What you say? |
