I think you misunderstood me, by affiliation I meant gang or group of friends. He must have met certain criteria (bad I believe ) for the owner of the package to have chosen him. A truly innocent person would have been shocked, and acted very surprised on seeing that the package had a gun inside. He can either call the owner or tries to open the package. If he chooses opening the package, on finding out the content he will be shocked and surprised. His reaction alone will almost tell if he truly knew the contents of the package, because he will likely open it in front of the driver.
