It's pretty tragic how Nigerians think d banj career is dwindling. Av you ever considered what made don jazzy and d banj part ways? D banj is still internationally recognised and accepted than don jazzy. undeniably, oga don baba j kinda music will not get him to the height koko master has attained. D banj is more successful than don baba j will ever be, learn to see something from a different perspective, Liberate yourself from the shackles of stereotypical ideologies and enslavement. Do u know how much d banj charge for intl and local shows, do u know how politically connected dbanj is, do u know know about his thriving businesses in Togo, South Africa and England ? Nah! I know u don't! All you know is, ah! Dbanj is no longer selling in Nigeria, we are no longer dancing to his tunes, why use a particular region(nigeria) to justify success? Just leave the shores of Nigeria, and see who's internationally accepted... besides I don't like their music so don't think am takin sides.. Am just saying what I know and studied as an ethnomusicologist. Peace!
